  • Simply awesome - thanks so much for posting this.

  • had a storm like this last night 04-25-10 was in the middle of it.

  • you are awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome lightning and wind! Great footage! 5*

  • I love the thunder that accompanies Anvil Crawlers.

  • mother nature or god

  • @quickkiller55 Mother Nature,..... there's all the proof, 'she', exists. God on the other hand,. no evidence whatsoever. Damn religious fruitcakes.

  • This very powerfull thunderstorm! I live in Moscow. We have such strong thunder-storms are very rare, usually powerfull thunderstorms we have in south part our country.

  • give a shit on european thunderstorms, that's CRAZY

  • I have family outside Little Falls (just West of Camp Ripley). I remember some awesome storms in August while visiting when I was a kid.

This storm is so beautiful to watch! Thanks so much for posting!

BTW - I didn't realize you had tornado sirens in central Minnesota ... I guess it makes sense. I don't get the pleasure (or terror?) We don't have tornadoes here in Western Oregon - hell, we rarely get thunderstorms.

  • makes me mad that in the United Kingdom we never weather like this, maybe a few flashes a year of ligtning but nothing described in this video, 5/5

  • nice video, kind of funny because the lightning was flashin so fast that you could only count up to 3 lol, i like the lightning and were was the tornado, hiding or somethin

  • That faint tornado siren being heard in the video must be a Federal Signal 2001.

  • The strike at 2:33 looked like an anvil crawler.

  • awsome video!

  • Whattype of Lightning are those strikes? Anvil Crawlers?

  • Great Lightning Storm! Sounds like the gusty winds are being driven into the supercell with moisture feeding into the updraft. With you being south of the supercell this makes me think that. But maybe it is something else.

  • Possibly winds from the storm?

  • Gorgeous: five stars!

    *StormSpinner1* in Texas

  • Woooouuuw, I guess that frequence is more than 180 strikes / min. Awesome!!! As a stormchaser I filmed this year and on july 2004 a thunderstorm with about 140 to 180 strikes / min. (see my video "Lightning-Inferno!!!" on YouTube) But in your vid is the frequence little higher!! Great!!!

  • sounds like the wind was picking up there, i'd be busting a move.

  • Damnnnn, I wish I could see that, but I'd be too terrified.

  • I love severe weather and the vivid lightning!

  • This is amazing! I love lightning!

  • NATURES FIREWORKS

  • Its a grand finally of lightning! I think that tornado siren sounded like a whelen 3016.

  • never seen so much frequent lightning, but of course in ny we dont get stuff like that much.

  • Its thundering and lighting in Nova Scotia atm lol. this is the 15th time this summer..

In your video, thats what it was like 2 weeks ago but worse:|

  • That was Freakin Awesome!!!

  • sweet

  • The wonder of nature baby!

  • Amazing video ... we never get lightning like that in Oregon ... boring weather here.

  • boring meby but least your alive

  • Awesome, I have something like this going outside my house right now as I'm typing this...

    It's quite a show..

  • Its quite a show? Sooo what made you decide to search for youtube videos then while its going on

  • wheres the thunder?

  • running late.

  • eh?

  • Im drunk

  • You don't know where to look: that is some INTENSE lightning. Spittin' out all over!! Wow. Saved to favorites, thank you!

  • Ive seen lighting before like this its always stricking i love it when theres no rain or thunder just a little bit i love lighting!

  • i fort lightning created like.... SOUND!!! v v v spectacular never seen lightning this frequently just amazed there's only very very minimum thunder. weird

  • i want to see a thunderstorm like this in germany too

  • very cool. We rarely get storms like this on the south coast of MA where I live. Thanks for sharing.

  • omg..that is sum BEAUTIFUL footage...where was this shot at?

  • Very good shots! May i ask where did you film it please??

  • Man I love lightning like that, We get a lot of that here in Winnipeg Canada during the summer.

  • Nothing better than natural fireworks. I only wonder if there will be one to put a lightning storm to Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture. That would be righteous. :)

  • NOVA on public television has a special out on DVD and VHS called "Lightning" and the closing of the movie is a bunch of different movies put to the 1812 Overture. It's really cool.

  • um... wow. that's all I can say

  • You weren't kidding when you said "lightning galore!" Wow, I remember storms like this when I lived near Biloxi, MS. I'm curious why there's not a lot of thunder crashing about though.

  • wow, just wow

    that is intense!!

  • all i can say is woooooooooooow!

     impresive show

  • all i can say is WOW FREAKIN JUST WOW

  • Very awesome video, were was this at? A storm like this hit in illinois in the spring time where the lightning was almost as constant as this and we were in the middle of it and some bolts were hitting the ground. Its freaking terrifying when its constant like this. Its cool though when the storm is going away from you and you can get awesome lighting footage! lol

  • i have seen wa lot more. was pretty scary. hearing all of that lightniing. and the night was like day. was freaking crazy. ut we had no tornados. and it was in pennsylvania this past summer.

  • awsome video!

  • vn thunderstorm we never get storm's like that up here in canada btw im sorry that storm's like that and Tornado's hit you guys down there but its r falt we cant help that r canadain cool/cold air hit's your hot air :)

  • Actually we do here in Alberta, We have Tornado sirens, we have had lightning nonstop like this but with a storm overhead, Alberta is actualy part of tornado alley.

  • Yeah but they aren't common. I dont know if Sherwood Park has tornado sirens, but I know for a fact Fort Saskatchewan does (I saw 3 there).

By the way, there are 2 words that describe this storm. Power epic.

  • i think 10-12 miles high, they basically tower into the stratosphere

  • Cool video! I've never seen such constant lightning, wow. How high to the tops of those c-nimbus I wonder?

  • those tops were crackin 65,000ft. I got storm lab and tracked those storms that night. one cell popped 72,000ft. i was overly suprised.
