I hope you reported this bus driver and showed them the video. I would have. I am a school bus driver and this makes me sick. That driver endangered the lives of those kids!

My bus driver yelled at a girl just for putting her legs up between seats as a footrest, my bus driver was so pissed at her for that, that he pulled the bus over, didnt put the parking break on, had is hearing aids turned off (ILLEGAL), and the bus fell off the side of our road and smashed right into a fence. He got to drive a different bus, crashed that one, ON A MILITARY AIR FORCE BASE, and then got fired.

Ok so from what we see we dont know if the road was cleared by some other source all we see is a bus driving through water. We werent there so we dont know. either way still pretty cool. and yes the bus couldve flipped and they couldve drowned but guess what they didnt.

Wow MickNJ1979 your a real winner. I am a NYS DMV 19A Certified Examiner, which if you dont know what that is its was implemented because of foolish decisions like the one this driver made. He is not hero he could have made this much worse. And talking about size and how much the bus weighs would be more of a reason not for the bus to go through. Heavy things need firm ground and pavement to drive on that is why there are weight ratings on certain roads and bridges.

Ok, to MickNJ1979.....The point was that the BIG bus and his driver had NO CLUE AND NO WAY OF KNOWING if the road UNDER THE WATER was actually still there. Then it could have been, BIG bus, full of students, HITS BIGGER hole under water and washes away! And to prove my point...lookup the article on ydr.com! they have some great pics of the asphalt all torn up after the water went down. GET A CLUE!!!

@robpc66 exactly. when it flooded by my old home there was pieces of road the size of a school bus washed away and you couldnt tell until all of the flood water was gone

How dare this bus driver make this decision involving my child's safety! I was told that the bus rode through water but I was not aware of how deep it was. Some people are commending the driver for doing a good job. Well how good of a job would it have been if the bus over turned and the kids were drowned. He should of nofified his supervisor of the situation and then a decision be made. I would have gladly come and picked my child up.
