  • This is the calm cool zhuge liang that we all love. No words needed to be said. Unlike the new zhuge liang in the 2010 remake where he cries like a little bitch. Totally ruin the characters personal

  • The birth of industrialized warfare was in China while Rome fell apart.

  • is there a episode about ji valley? if there is can you show me or upload it?

  • Best clip of this series...bar NONE!

  • if sima yi and his son died..then the whole chinese history will be different...fucckkkkk

  • shit why can't they get some archers in there while the fire is raging!!....

  • This event did not really happen in the real history .

The man who played Liang is the best chinese actor ever ....

  • I do believe the man who played Liang is the best actor ever, Chinese or not. :)

  • I love Zhuge Liangs music theme in this, I just had to learn it on piano

  • honestly i still proud of zhugeliang. he can't kill shimayi not because shimayi more powerful but it is because han dynasty have to be end.nobody can change the fate even zhugeliang.

  • sad, that even heaven is on the evil side lol

  • heaven said its not their time to die yet so thats why they live. no matter what if not your time to die , you will not die something extrandanary will happpen to save you.

  • It should of been a mixture of fire and arrows, Boiling senseless oil should of been set up too

  • 为什么不在火烧的时候用箭射呢!!!为什么诸葛亮之前能算好借东风,就不能算好这天有雨呢!!!真是的~!

  • 天有不测风云...老天要司马一家当皇帝,不会让他们死的.

  • This is surely the biggest BS in the world.

  • really unfortunate, Sima Zhao is destined to be emperor, otherwise the sky would not have rained. Something that Zhuge Liang couldn't predict. Should have used arrows instead of fire.

  • Bad luck... :'(. The look on his face at the end was so sad.

  • this proves that you gotta have the kind of life for it!

  • i just knowtist ,zhu ge liang learned a lesson from this event, zhang he was killed by arrows because they were trapped just like sima yi, LOL

  • if i was zhuge liang i would of do wat zhang ren did 2 pang tong in the vally of the fallen phoenix give them and arrowsrain 2 make sure he was dead

  • Zhuge Liang expected the fire to kill them, why waste arrows? and he probably didnt bring any.

  • who r the 2 sons?

  • i think its sima shi and sima zhao

  • Sima Yi and Zhugeliang are not that great. They cause the deaths of many people. Ya, being the general is great. You are glorified for success in battle. But life as a soldier sure is miserable. You have to endanger your life, only for general's to take the credit. You can die anytime, whether you are under Zhuge or Sima. Why these distinguished people can't work together to build a prosperous China?

  • 1. they cant work together because each has a lord they are loyal to. well Sima Yi was loyal until he realized he and his sons could seize the realm.

    2. how can they build a prosperous China if the country is not unified?

    3. War is sometimes necessary, thats why there are generals and soldiers. People want to dominate others or in Liu Bei's case, restore peace. The opposing side wants to defend themselves or in Cao Cao's case, fight for the control of the realm.

  • It's very unfair and uninsightful to day that Zhuge Liang is "not that great".

You need to take into account the historical context - at that time, you have strategists/statesmen (i.e. Zhuge Liang) giving out the commands and people who do the fighting. That's the way things work back then and it only looks "unfair" from the perspective of us today.

Also, I'm sure that Zhuge Liang's genius and leadership could make up more than the fact that he did not fight in wars in person.

  • Sorry, in my above comment on the first line, I was meant to say "...to SAY that Zhuge Liang..."

  • Zhuge should have laid an ambush at the mouth of the valley in case the Wei troops escape.

  • despite his ingenuity, he is still human and human makes mistake

  • Off Heaven is on sima yi's side. If sima yi dies, then Shu will win and liu shan will be emperor then the people will suffer cos liu shan wont vare about country.

  • It meant to be; it was not Sima Yi's time to go yet. Liang knew that if he couldnt kill Yi today, he would not have a second chance--and it was true.

  • well...dat was just bad luck...cant blame it on zhuge liang for being hasty...he was overwork for running every military affairs of shu...plus maybe the heavens reali blessed sima yi and his sons...but i dun ment to question zhuge liang but y din he giv them an arrow shower to kill them instantly...

  • lmao, I had that same question before, but here's my conclusion. Zhuge Liang was sure of the fire attack's sucess. If they [Sima Yi, his sons and all the Wei soldiers] were going to be burned to death, why waste hand-made arrows that cost both time and materials to make?

  • wow, God sure can be a bitch

  • now that's just rude dude. You don't have to say it like that.

  • yh but its the bleak way of looking at it, rude? Who is it being rude to? Saying that God can be a bitch isn't being rude

  • Regardless of whether or not he summoned the winds, he was the greatest strategist of the age, a man able to take the most meager forces and lead them to victory against the mightiest of foes. He is worthy of being remembered as such.

  • Absolutely

Who wouldn't want Zhuge Liang on their side in a war??

If he was here today and Earth got invaded by aliens or something, I would definitely want him to be the chief commander/strategist XD

  • @Revolution177 Victory? What victory did Kongming have? Against lil rebel tribes in the south? Failure of 5 campaigns?

  • i hope someone could upload the entire three kingdom episodes onto youtube

  • Sorry I had to post it in parts because the limit was 500 characters per comment.

  • Long before Shangfang when Wei plotted to have FIVE armies (Qiang, Nanman, Cao, Wu, and another one) marching into Shu, he was so calm compared to the other officials. He had plans to drive away the 4 armies, but for the last one (Wu) he was deciding who could be the negotiator, and he chose Dengzhi.

Conclusion: Zhuge Liang was both hasty and subsequently not cautious enough. He knew time was running out on him (hence the pacing of the Northern Dipper praying the Heaven for more life years).

  • Also, Zhuge Liang really had no choice but to attack north.

If he don't do that, he'll just be waiting for Cao Wei to come and get them instead.

  • 2. He was too hasty in retreating upon receiving Li Yan's word that Wu was invading Yong An (the mouth to Yizhou and subsequently Cheng Du). He didn't take time to verify this. What happened the calm, cautious Zhuge? Had doing so much work impaired his reasoning?

  • He was hasty. I'm going to present instances of his hastiness in the Northern Expeditions:

    1. Upon defeating Nanman, he gathered troops immediately marching north without resting. In the essay given to Liu Chan he said "If we wait the enemies will grow stronger." He had reasons to be hasty. His hastiness was not a bad thing - "time" is after all a crucial factor in warfare.

  • if you see a few episodes before the borrowing the southeast wind one, you'd see Zhuge Liang telling Liu Bei about sending Zhou Yu on the same day he summoned the wind; he told Liu Bei like weeks before the summoning took place.

  • Thats cannot compare with this. Zhuge Liang did not summoned wind, he wasn't able to. It just the author make the story more attractive while reading. He can forcast there was South East wind during that time. But this time it was a sudden rain, even the technology now cannot predict so accurately will today rain or not.

  • u mean zhao yun

  • he was much younger when he borrowed the southeast wind. he's probably just getting old.

  • Having Sima Yi is cao cao bigest mistake. Wei going taken by the Sima family.

  • but cao cao did not trust sima yi it was cao pi or cao rui who brought sima yi back 2 office

  • He did not command the weather in chi bi, he just know there will be east wind... he just pretend and acted as if he summon it.

  • Borrowing Southeastern wind? I thought it's just an elaborate trick of Zhuge Liang to get away safely, not that he could command the weather. :)

  • Zhuge Liang was too hasty in killing Sima Yi; he forgot to watch the weather.

  • Maybe he did watch the weather, but sometimes weather is just unpredictable.

  • That's a naming possibility. However, from the evidence that he could even command the weather before the Battle of Chi-Bi, it seems strange that he wasn't able to predict the weather accurately in this ambuscade.

  • @Titan9999 Going against heaven's will does not do you any good.

  • It was not that Lord Zhuge was too hasty; true that Sima Yi would have been a better asset on the side of Shu-Han rather than smoldering dead ash, but it seemed to the Chinese audience to which this was broadcasted and to Zhuge Liang himself that the gods themselves said, 'Sima Yi will not die today.'

  • damn that sucks.

  • All planning are from mankind, but the success of the plan is upon the God's wish.
