I remember when Truman Show came out. I was kid and had seen Jim Carrey in The Mask, Pet Detective etc... various comedy movies. So that´s what I expected. Sure Truman was funny, however not to viewer, but to the people around him. As a viewer I felt bad for him. What I thought to be a comedy movie turned out to be a dramatic masterpiece.
@NDesertFoxN Great to see Scarface on your list! Scarface is my favorite movie of all time. Truman Show, Pulp Fiction, Forrest Gump are also extremely good movies. Haven't checked out Braveheart yet. I might buy it soon though if there is a blu-ray.
I totally agree with you. Jim Carrey is a horrible actor in my opinion. However, in the Truman Show he actually performs fairly well and it's actually a pretty good film.
