" No Brother's Blood " A Tribute To " All Murdered Sons And Daughters Of All Races " Song Written By Tina Marie Clark Of New Orleans Sung By Bob Marley's Late Mother Cedella Marley It's A Must See Video! Pass It On To The youth! Stop The Violence!! Too Many Mother's Crying To Many Sons Are Dying!!!
I always thought she had the best voice of the I-threes. I actually saw her with Bob Marley and the wailers in Africa in 1981, I believe it was. I have to say she was one of the most naturally beautiful women I have ever or will ever see. No make-up, no fancy clothes. Just pure natural stunnung beauty. Stricking features. I was a little kid then but that face stuck in my mind.
I fell first fell in love with her voice. After buying her album "Black Woman" I fell in love with her mind. And then I saw her pictures! What a beauty! Now I'm just love sick!
Jahluva2000!! Judy Mowatt used to sing with Bob Marley.. the three little birds he spoke of.. she was one of them along with Marcia Griffiths and Rita Marley. Collectively they are know as the I-Threes.
but this isn't that concert, this was in 1982, the concert was in 1978, she was probably the background singer but not performing, i'm certain she didn't perform in the concert...
angelcod You are so on track. That is the truth and everyone should recognize the thing about the Prophecy Music. I think that Hip Hop tries to do the same thing but fails. Instead of trying to rise above Babylon they celibate it. They bathe in it. They eat it. They slap down the Sistern and the bring down the Utes. It doesn't make them any worse than others it just makes them part of the Babylon system of misleadership. Reggae Music is EVERLIVING and that is why it never die, Seen?
I am completely musically literate, and I am not asking for opinion, I am saying, that Reggae is the most powerful music of all the genre. The instrumentation as well the message. It is the only music that prophesy. This is the music that is subduing the harlot influence of Babylon.
i dont know who your dad is or how credible he is but i can assure you that she does have a brother michael living in the usa, as well as two other younger siblings in usa as well as other sisters who still live in jamaica..
Your Aunt? So we are brothers? No killing, but tell her for me that this is one of the best reggae song ever made with black woman and the cover thank you lord!
The beauty of this song is transcendant. It brings tears to my eyes. Haunting melody. I think its from a video called Heartland Reggae. Thanks for posting this!
sick tired of losing cds only 2 not find them @ stores I think Borders is not ordering reggae I don't buy the music there I take it I just don't have $20 4 an album now there is no selection @ all as if there was one before.

Black woman brings so many memories to my life. I used to listern to this song so many many times back home [Zimbabwe] in the late 90s. What a song, l am still looking for Judy's music.
I have the 'Black woman' cd, love it! I loved it so much that I have checked out every album of hers I can find. I've heard at least 4 or 5 since. They all SUCK. I have Black Woman. It's one of my favorite CDs. As for Mowatt's other albums, overlook the music(it IS a bit too '80ish)and listen to the LYRICS - they are absolutely beautiful. She is a POET (Griot) above all else. Now you can't POSSIBLY dispute this!
maknun 4 years ago
I can dispute this . . Thing is, for me the music is the vehicle, the foundation from which the words flow. If the music ain't there, I can't get to the words no how. I personally think Judy just fucked up. She should have concentrated on replicating the success of Black Woman, rather than trying to be more 'pop'. Might have earned her a few crossover folks, but I think she just lost her edge after BW. My 2 cents . . .
Check out Cedric IM Brooks, it's Good stuff.

Well, she didn't lose me. I think the message should always outshine the music. However, I must admit that I don't like the pop sound either and was terribly confused when I finally did hear her other albums. I don't think that she could have ever topped Black Woman, anyway. BUT OMG THOSE SONGS!!! I saw the lyrics before I ever heard the music. She wrote most of them herself. That sister is really DEEP!!!
