It was really scary because after he gave me the meds, everything when blury and i couldnt feel my legs and arms as well as i couldnt move them... • Just got mine done 070711 how long were you bloated for?

  • Why would someone try to create an argument on aite were you have gallbladder surgery? CarlosMacMartin? What a sad case.

  • Ah i think they take the gall bladder out out of or around your belly button.

  • i had gall baldder surgery and never had them cut me near my chest! You should have sued those buttholes!

  • My mom got gallbladder surgery in October

  • Dream on...

  • I had to have mine out...the pain was horrible I honestly thought I was dying and the pain was worse than labor

  • i had mine taken out on 2007 and i was very bruised up it look so nasty but it was worth it cause the pain got so bad it felt like i was about to die. and know im doing really good i can eat anything i want sometimes i get stomach aches but only in the morning my first meal and after that i dont even need to use the bathroom so i can eat anything.

  • Con't My neighbor had hers removed 3 months ago and she says she feels better

except she can't eat eggs! Gives her a bad stomach ache! She works in the medical

field and asked me why I don't just get the surgery.Well,I'm a natural born fighter and

don't give up so easily.I've been fighting the disease since 2008 and going to the

gym, dieting, and sweating in the sauna has helped me.Also had to adjust my own personal habits. It's not easy and most would give up.

  • @CarlosMacMartin i have to say that you just sound retarded.

  • @CarlosMacMartin no, i don't send personal messeges. if you don't want me to bother you then just don't respond dumb ass.

  • @1radash You must be in need of attention.Seriously. Get your head checked out.

  • @CarlosMacMartin i told you if you don't want me to bother you then just don't respond, lol, it's that easy dumb ass, so i think it's you who needs the attention =)

  • @1radash Yeah right! I get all the attention I need,silly little trick.You bore me.Bye

  • @CarlosMacMartin you are toooooo easy to upset, i love it.

  • im really nervous i just found out i have gall stone iv been reading alot bout it kinda scary im tryn to get the surgery cuz im always in pain but the hospitals here suck

  • @t1g3rb1tch I'm sorry to hear that you are in a not good hospital care. I hope you are recovered from the surgery. I didn't have gall stone, my gall bladder just gave up working for me. Yes, I'm glad it's over. I'm constantsly watching my diet, still!

  • I am 28 years old. My doctor was a young guy too. I had my surgery at the county hospital. So really he was an intern. Lol. Great doctor!! Nothing to worry about ;-)

  • @lschvz007 Hi! Sorry, to hear your Doctor is an intern only. Well, hope you are alright now that you had your surgery done.

  • Ouch! It's hurts me just looking at you! I was diagnosed with the beginning stage of

Gall Bladder Disease back in march 2009 and was told I could opt for voluntary

removal.I have had very painful attacks after eating certain foods,so I had to become

wiser with my food choices. Also, going to the gym help tremendously! The steam room had been very useful and has helped me to avoid surgery.Changing

ones diet is necessary as well and staying away from excessive salt, sugar,& fat.

    It can be done!

  • @CarlosMacMartin How are you doing? Good to hear that you were alright, not having surgery and all. Good Luck.

  • @thuylebliss Well,I've had some attacks but it was because of the foods I ate. That's the hurdle that most people have a problem with is having to give up favorite foods.I've heard people say that they have had theirs

removed and eat whatever they want.Just because the gall bladder is gone doesn't mean that they won't get an upset stomach when eating greasy or fatty foods. My sister still had hers removed many years ago and still gets sick when she eats too much fried or spicy food. You can't win!

  • Hi i had my surgery on novmber 11 i am doing fine but i had a qusgen did any one have four cut's because i had and my doctor don't wount to tell me the pain was sore befor but after the surgery you fel much better than ever i was scard befor my surgery i had gallstones in my gallbaldder so i had to remove it .

  • @corinna2353 Hope you are feeling better now.

  • i'm 20 and have Cholecystitis Cholangitis, Gallstones and Pancreatitis and they're removing my gallbladder after I had an ERCP to remove the stones stuck in my billary tract. I am so scared. I lost 11 and a half stone in 9 months and am now 10 stone, I am scared incae i regain loads of weight when they take out the gallbladder as that's what breaks fats down :(

  • @paulwilsonmusician Wow, you have to go through so much, sorry to hear that, hope you are well now, and eating healthy again.

  • Guys the doc said I might have to get mine removed too. But I don't know why can u tell me some stuff about this Is stomach pain apart of this?

  • im going to have a splenectomy and gall bladder removel at the same time... im only 15 ... im quite scared... ''/

  • @jjjulija Are you feeling better now? Hope so, time does heeled all wounds.

  • I had the same surgery when I was 23. I lost 20 lbs after surgery. I had to wait four days before surgery since it was new years eve and doctor was not available. It was terrible pain before and after surgery. I got better after one week. It has been almost five years and now I eat everything.

When I was in pain I was taking Vicodin, It was great the first week as it was a warm cosy feeling while recovering and watching tv. I got hooked on Vicodin and took a pill one day and almost died.

  • @tony232cool lol how did you almost die?

  • @echoo08 Over drug used can do that.

  • @tony232cool How are you doing now? No more Vicodin right? I know, sometimes feeling dying is the worst thing you don't want to go through. Don't want to leave your love ones, especially if you have kids like me. Take care of yourself.

  • I got mine removed 2 days ago. im 17. it hurts really bad. its hard for me to sleep and im so sore.

  • @xXCAYLAchaosxX How are you feeling? Are you OK now? Take care.

  • I had this done yesterday. FUCK this pain, dude.

  • @SiouxBwoi How are you doing? Are you feeling better now?

  • @thuylebliss Great, feel as though nothing had ever happened.

  • You don't know what that big incesion where that bruise is? HELLO, that's where they took the gallbladder out of. The two smaller cuts are where they inserted the instruments they used. Geez......

  • @azgypsy Thanks for that. Take care.

  • @azgypsy what a jerk you are.. why bother even commenting just to be such an ass? feel sorry for your family and friends, totally unecessary

  • @azgypsy Dude, don't be a bitch. not everyone is as smart as you. You're one of those no-it-all douchebags that everyone hates, aren't you? Get a life you fucktard...

  • That's almost EXACTLY how mine look.

  • i had mine removed 5 years ago. best thing i ever did! yh, i gained a little weight but no pain. a fair swap.

  • i had mine removed 5 years ago. best thing i ever did!

  • Everyone that says it was painful is either a pussy or had a crappy doctor. I had my surgery at 8 am.. and was home by 11am.. I didnt vomit, have a loose stomack or pain.. as a matter of fact i didnt even take any pain killers afterwards.. Everyone that is having the surgery... You have nothing to worry about... I was scared after reading all the comments on here but really... It's a joke.. within a week I was replacing the roof at my house... any questions hit me up.... Good Luck to all

  • @lschvz007 Upon waking up, it is a little painful, but it isnt enough to feel bad. Guys, if youre having the surgery done, dont worry, its a very simple procedure. I had mines removed at 8pm and I was back in my room around 12am

  • @lschvz007 How old are you. I am 48 and I am hoping for your experience. I just want to get it out and go on. How much practice did your surgeon have? My surgeon is a nice enough guy but he seems young. Any thoughts?

  • @iamariarilke Hi! Mine had at least 24 years experience. I'm glad it's over. Still have to watch what I eat though. I don't gain weight and I don't lose weight either. That's a good thing I supposed so.

  • @thuylebliss Hi. I'm going to wait as long as I can. I notice that the minute I stress, super stress, or prolonged periods of low stress, it hurts. Otherwise it seems fine. I have a good diet anyway. I think I will go with the young surgeon and tell him to take his time!

  • hey

    just a question

I just had surgery, but my gut is completely open so that part.?? and it is now one week ago

with you because I see a kind of scar

  • hi!

I got mine removed 20 days ago. But i had to have 2 surgeries.

I didn' t lose much weight... In fact as soon as i started eating normally again, i started to gain a lot of weight.

Did this happen to you? The weight issue? or was it okay?

  • @bellabambina249 Hello! How are you feeling now? I don't gain weight at all. But, I have to watch what I eat, otherwise, I can easily gain the weight, especially around the tummy. I get really bloated like pregnant if I eat too much frires food. If I ignored what I eat, I wouldn't be at 105lbs for the heights of 5"1" is good.

  • I just found out from my doctor (one of the top doctors in the world) that I can't eat a lot of oil from now on, or fat. I had to cut meat from my diet, which makes sense because I can't digest fat like I used to. Please let people know out there that we are prone to heart disease now if we continue to eat fat, as we don't digest it. I was told I could get heart disease within 3 years if I continues to eat oily foods. I should have rid the gallstones naturally, and yes, it can be done!

  • hi i wanted to ask you how long ago did you have yours removed?

  • @gisibabe I think it was 2008. The scars are getting smaller, but still noticeable. Oh, well.

  • @gisibabe at 2007. I'm doing OK. Still feeling shitty what whenever I overeat or too much of the good stuff. Hope you are well.

  • thanks for caring. yea and da scares feel lyk lil lumps n your belly. mi recovery is going well.

  • i have the same scares from mi gallbladder being taking out. im only 16 and it hurted me so bad. After surgery i was hurting realli bad. i hated to even cough.

  • @jakia2012 yes, the scars stayed for a long time. I'm so sorry that you are so young for this surgery, it's probably for the best to removed it. Coughing and laughing does hurts. Best of luck, get well soon.

  • Comment removed

  • I am having mine taken out the 23rd of this month. Wish me luck!

  • @MrJGfan24 good luck Mr J. Watch your diet after surgery too.

  • I see that your procedure was about 1 1/2 year ago, I wanted to know if your scars are less noticeable now or are they still the same? I'm getting mine removed as well pretty soon.

  • @sewd0608 Hi! Yes, I still have scars, it's a little smaller, but still very noticable, I can't wear two pieces bathing suit anymore. :-( Oh well. Good Luck!

  • @thuylebliss they're still noticeable even a year and a half later? Agh! I had mine removed a few months ago, and mine are still really noticeable, can't wear two piece bathing suit either, sucks so much :( haha, but hey, no more pain!!! lol

  • yup mine look like that too...go to doc tomorrow for my ten day post op check up

  • @pika23 Sounds good. Glad that you are better now.

  • i got 5 holes, but luckiley i didn't have one trough my belly button.

  • @23Gilkez23 OMG! why you have that many holes? So, you have four scars?

  • @thuylebliss My gall bladder was big, it had a big stone and some smaller ones . I have four scars and 1 mini-mini scar.

  • i have to have mine removed sometime i dont know when yet its still not schedualed

  • @KING6OF6THE6EMO Are you ok now?

  • @FrutiiPebblezz just had mine done 2 days after you! does yours still hurt? like the incisions? Mine are kinda tender near the belly button

  • @FrutiiPebblezz how are you doing? Are you feeling better?

  • my wife just had this done today, surgery took 1 hour and we were home 2 hours later. they completely knock you out for the surgery, she doesnt remember anything expcept for waking up in the recovery room.

  • @sixty9fbody Hope your wife is feeling better. She doesn't remember the surgery, but she may be in pain for a couple of days.

  • i have to get mine done :( im scared i had a stone attack a 3 days ago i never felt so much pain in my life, having a child was easier :(

  • @inccubi666succubi I'm so glad my surgery was over. I'm still having scars. I didn't have stones attack, just hurt real bad for some reasons. I thought that I was going to die. I could't breath either, because of my anxiety attack at that same time. It won't be that bad, just make sure someone there to take care of you, it will take three to four days to feel better. Good Luck! Child birth was hard too are you kidding?

  • @thuylebliss no actually my birth went really well from what i can remeber,i was induced so i had everything i needed,it got really really pain full at one point, but they gave me epidurel, but the gull stone attack was wicked and horrible and ya i get anxiety attacks too,lol its funny tho cuz when i do,i tend to run and hide from people lmao,so they dont see me sick lol,its like hey im gonna go die dont watch me now lol.

  • Oh My Lord. You should sue, lol. Those doctors butchered you! I've had this done as well and my stitches looked very, very pretty compared to yours. Gosh. Hope you healed well! :)

  • @megannnnne Thank-You for your well wish for me. I should of done that. I still have scars. Thanks again.

  • well that doesn't look too bad lol! i just found out i need to get mine removed asap so my doctor is sending to me to a surgeon. im 23 and have been cursed with the family curse! lol every woman in my family has had their gallbladder removed. im nervous. ive had surgery before (plate and screws put into my leg) but im more nervous for this one! thank you for sharing!

  • Now do u guys know about that u can get rid of gallbladder stones without any surgery??

    And is cheap as heck.

  • Comment removed

  • i used to get one pain attack a month for the last 4 to 5 years. I knew of two choices. One was surgery (very expensive in the US without any insurance, not too bad in France where they would charge 1200 Euros all included or I could change my diet. I stopped drinking any alcohol, nothing deep fried and no Ice cream. I lost 18 pounds and haven't had a pain since then.

  • @dimitrigregorieff

I'm so happy for you that you find the results to fell better, and losing weight too.

That's great! Keep up the good work.

  • I had my gallbladder removered 4 days ago after 4 painfull atacks within 5 weeks some lasting upto 4 days none stop. The op was not as bad as i thought it was going to be,the back pains went almost straight away, tthe pain is now just muscle ache and soreness on my scares worse being my navel, but so far its been well worth it,

  • I have a burining pain in my right side, right under my rib cage. It's more like a dull gnawing pain then sharp pain. like it's an ulcer, but it's right where my gall bladder would be. Does anyone know how much this surgery would cost? I have no insurance.

  • move to canada... my surgeory was free!

  • Thanks, i might just do that. Move their , have it done....then move back, but then i might like it better their. Anythings better then living here in this screwed up country....and to make it all worse, i live in the state of alabama, can't get much screwed up then that.

  • @ttboy125

and you prolly still have surgical tools still left inside of you

  • im 19 and im goin to have mine removed on 24th feb'2010 is there any tips on what to do afterwards ?

  • i had mine out when i was 14 and the next day i was walking, its realy not that bad. but your shoulders hurt after becuase they put air in you so massage ur shoulders or whaterver bones hurt after, its only from the air. good luck :)

  • Wife had operation 3 days ago. She is a nurse. Tips..take laxitive with pain killers..walk as much as possible. Take cough drops to hospital with you..buy large nightgown..stool to get in and out of bed. Operation is easier than Gall bladder attack

  • hi, mine removed march 09, went to theatre at 8.55 in recovery at 10.40 on ward at 11.10 - home at 16.00hrs, when you wake your pain will be gone, but you may fell pain from the scars tell nurse in recovery, at home take the painkillers dont forget, only took painkillers for 4 days ( stay with someone for at least a week ) , take laxitive when you get home to get bowels moving, wear very loose clothing for 2 weeks n dont drive- after the op -felt great. -best thing that has happened. GOOD LUCK

  • book the week and a half after the surgeory off...its a painfull recovery

  • omg i cant wait to have my surgery!!! ive had attacks for six months!! got stones when i was pregnant! all i can eat is soup once a day!! im starving! hopefully on monday ill finally have my surgery it will be the best day of my life lol

  • how did it go?

  • I was pretty sore right after and a few days later i did get nausea but it went well. im happy to eat the things i love again!

  • @xsweetbutevil14x

I'm happy to hear you are feeling better. Good Luck!

  • i commented 2 weeks ago. funny thing is that i went in for surgery, they put me under then found a blood test showing jaundice!!. has a camera down my throat a week later got the stone removed, still got one stone left. went in for surgery again yesterday but didn't do it cos i have inflamed ducts, high temp, high blood pressure and a start of a chest infection. now i'm on antibiotics for a week then will hopefully actually have surgery in 2 weeks.

  • Hello Michael.

So sorry to hear you had to go through so much before the surgery. I hope things will get better soon for you. Hang in there. How old are you? Maybe it will all passed if you are younger, since younger people heal faster. Take care of yourself and have some love ones take care of you too.

You need good people around you when a time like this. Good Luck!

  • i had mine removed almost 2 years ago. one of the best days of my life. before that, i was in pain almost daily because of the gallstones. it was the one time i was excited to be in the hospital :)

  • Hello, I didn't have gallstones, but I heard it's very painful once you have it. So, I guessed that you still have your gallbladder? I'm glad for you.

  • No. my gallbladder was removed. Yeah, it was very painful. During an "attack", vomiting would be the only way for me to get the pain to subside.

  • LOL I was sooo excited to get rid of mine too!!

  • What kind of pain is it? I have more like a dull burning pain, like it's an ulcer, but it's on my right side right under my rib cage.

  • @kittkatt032

My pain was excruciating. I had back pain and cold sweats as well. The pain was so bad, I couldn't stand or sit up without bending over and the pain wouldn't stop until after I would vomit.

  • you got em... i suggest you get it removed before you have an attack...its hurts soooo badd!

  • had mine out last week "laparoscopy not the big cut feel bad for you guys" but i was up right after, went home and was cooking, and caring for my family that next day cant eat fatty food but that's OK I'm loosing weight. I can understand guys and kids being big babies but come on ladies we give birth this nothing compered to that

  • Hello, You are right, we women are very good dealing with pain. It was just a difference experienced for me at the time my gall bladder removed. I'm so glad that I did it! Thanks for your honest comment.

  • How long were you swollen and/or bloated? I had mine out this past Monday and I'm still so swollen I can't stand it.

I can eat and everything it's just a lot of swelling.

    Any tips?

  • I had my gallbladder out about 2 months ago but the surgeon had to do the open surgery on me, my gallbladder was too sick. The recovery was a bitch, but now I'm fine. The fucker cut my common bile duct and gave me jaundice and my liver was shutting down and I had to have a stent put in there. Everything is good now, just a big 12 inch scar across my chest.

  • cant be botherrrrrrrrrrd. im an 18 year old male and im getting my gall bladder removed tmz.

im not looking forward to it. hopefully will go smooth. im worried about waking up in surgery lol!!!!!

  • OH! So you are young!, sorry, I didn't remembered this email from you. I have an 18 years old girl that hates going to OBgyn, but she needs to go sometime, hopefully soon.

You will be fine. Good Luck!

  • me again, commented 3 weeks ago. i've had my surgery! had it 2 days ago. they found a stone in the duct, but managed to flush it through as well as one stone left in the gall bladder which i've got in a pot. i have very little pain only discomfort when changing position from standing up to laying down. no bruising, or lumps, only got an achey shoulder when i do breathing exercises. so how is it without the gall bladder? food wise etc.

  • LOL, yeah i know what you mean, The last time i had to go under the knife, i woke up not being able to breathe. I remember looking at the nurses, and they put the mask back on, i woke up again knocking the mask off with my shoulders, and even forced the tube out of my throat during surgery. They couldn't understand how i did it. Guess i used my tongue. Somthing they did wrong when they gave me the anesthesia, cause i couldn't breathe. That's what woke me up.

  • Your surgery will go fine. I just had mine yesterday and I have very minimal pain. I have the same scaring as seen in this video with next to no bruising. Everyone is different and I happen to be a 50 year old woman with a low tolerance to pain, so my guess is you'll be fine. At your age you'll bounce right back. Relax a bit :-)

  • Oh my God... I have to get this surgery in a couple weeks and I'm so scared ): I'm only sixteen, and I've NEVER had to undergo any suregery before so I'm petrified... I'm so scared that my recovery's gunna be long and painful and that something will go wrong... I'm petrified!

  • Hello Legally Blonde.

You will be OK> the younger you are the fasteer your skin and body will heal. Don't worry so much, you wont feel a thing, you'll be put to sleep. After the surgery they also give you medication to take for the pain. Make sure you stay in bed and have someone to cook for you, lot's of soup, nothing too heavy and fried food. I wish for you a fast recovery. GoodLUck.

  • i had my gallbladder removed when i was like 10 or 11 and i have those same exact scars!!!

i think i had gallstones and a spoiled gallbladder i cant really remember anything else except for e\when i woke up with staples in my stomach!! it was painful!!!

  • That's awful. They don't use stalples anymore, they use invisible stiches. I have to wear long bathing suit tops to covers the scars. It looks kinda ugly. But having big boops help. People are too busy looking at my boops.

  • I had my gold bladder removed about four months ago. the recovery after was a not to bad. Just really sore.. and had to use the restroom alot.... But the pain before surgery was the worst pain I have ever felt..... NOw that I have had my surgery I have changed the way I eat no more fried food... and Ive lost 40 pounds.... Good luck to anyone who has this surgery comin up... it really isnt as bad as you think.

  • I am in line to have my Gall Bladder removed with key hole surgery as unfortunately I have gallstones. I am quite nervous about the operation and what life will be like without my gall bladder.

How was your recovery from the surgery and are you restricted in any way to the types of food you can eat?

  • Hello, don't worry so much, it will be better for you and your intestine. You need to stop eating fried food, oily food, more fiber and vegetables, but don't eat too much at once, have your meal in small amount each time, don't eat chips either, no fat or trans fat, just a little. Otherwise you'll get very bloated, Good luck my friend. Let me know later, how you are doing, it took me about a week or two to feel like I can digest my food normally again.

  • Yeh, me too. Wow, 1 month to recover? That's a long time. I was lucky then. Just like you, I can't eat too much at one time. I have to eat five times a day, small portion, not three big meals. You are 42? I'm turning 46 in September 11. Good Luck.

  • I had my gallbladder ou on July 17, 2008 by laproscopic procedure. Took me over 1 month to recover as I have other health issues. Now free from the pain cannot binge eat or I will become ill. Must eat moderately.

  • i had my surgery 4 yrs ago!!! my scars are still visible esspecially the one in my belly button and the one right above that! i had complicatons after my surgery, and was re-admitted! When they removed my gall bladder i they left stones inside which blocked my liver and i got jundice! not fun!! i was in the hospital for almost a week!! also they gave me too much morphine right before the surgery!! if you asre having this surgery be sure to ask questions. keep an eye on yourself afterward too!!

  • OMG, the exact same thing happened to me last year, it was a nightmare, A&E sent me home twice and told me to take pain killers before i had to stay in hospital a week.

Do you still get pain? mine is worst then ever and i've had so many test i feel like a lab rat but they still don't know what it is causing the pain.

  • they did a bunch of ultrasounds and found out i now have gastritis. Basically i get full of gas!not farty gas though I find if i don't eat then it comes and it hurts bad!! They gave me meds for this but told me that if i didn't drink enugh water my kidneys could fail!i tried it for a week and it didn't help so i stoppped taking it! Now I almost always bloated! It sucks because I've recently lost weight but you can't really tell! plus because of the bloating people always think i'm pregnant!

  • that sounds just like me. i'm gonna suggest it to my doc and see what happens from there.

it's so refreshing to know some one else is going through the same thing cos the doctors make out its all in your head.

did you find out if you needed your gall bladder removed after all, i'm beginning to think mine was removed for no reason, i'm getting some one to investigate my case anyway so hopefully they will be able to tell me.

  • I know how that felt, everyone thought I was pregnant too. How awful, especially when you are not fat right?

  • seriously!!!! lmao!!!

  • Did you ever find out what's wrong with your tummy? You had your gallbladder removed? still hurting after?

  • So, you had stones removed or your ball bladder removed? Hopefully, the worst is over. You will be recover in no time. It is hard at first, not be able to move around. Please have someone to take care of you for the next three days if possible, five days. Eat in bed, watch T>V in bed, read, sleep, you should be ok . Take care.

  • Then I started noticing the pain in my right side. Thats when I started thinking something was really wrong.I thought it was my apendix not my gall bladder. I did have stones and they said it was inflamed. I went in for surgery and came home the same day. They said I could stay the night at the hospital if I wanted.Today I am just sitting in my bed and I am sore enough to where I cant move around too fast.

  • I had mine out this morning.....I am uncomfortable, but managing...NOTHING can compare to the 4 days spent in hospital over xmas with gallbladder infection...THAT WAS WORSE! Thank you for the video :)

  • I'm having my may 28th found out May 4th on my birthday great gift. Anyways I work at the hospital I'm having it so thats good. Also was working when I had the first attack and had to go to the ER. Which suck because I waited three hours.
