People are complaining that aid is not getting there fast enough. Aid from man is not guaranteed. I can't imagine showing up with aid only to get yelled at for taking too long. Stop criticizing the response time and be greatful that anyone even showed up to risk their lives to help. 600,000 million dollars has been donated to this country. It will be fine and the people will survive. There are non lethal ways to control a riot and it is used. People are getting hurt in these riots lady... The little boy who was hit with a concrete block and was gushing blood, was not shot by a soldier, but was hurt by a Haitian from the top of a building. There is a fine line between shooting people looting for food trying to survive and allowing anarchy to persist and innocent people to be hurt or killed because you are soft or "SYMPATHETIC." Actually it looks like the cameras weren't on when he initially began helping the boy... He already had him picked up. I seriously doubt with all the work that anderson Cooper has done in his life that he'd need to do this for publicity or ratings. Get over it and shut up-at least he's over there helping! People are complaining that aid is not getting there fast enough. Aid from man is not guaranteed. I can't imagine showing up with aid only to get yelled at for taking too long. Stop criticizing the response time and be greatful that anyone even showed up to risk their lives to help. There are plenty of countries closer to Haiti than the U.S. that can help as well - they have helicoptors, planes, supplies - no one is beating up on them!

This kid was almost across the street from the looters and got hit in the head with a softball size chunk of concrete thrown from above and the crowd dispersed because of the flying debris. There he is sprawled out on the roadway and nobody around because the crowd ran off and this reporter runs in and grabs this kid and takes him away to safety. I'm glad that some people were there to help the injured child (Kudos to Anderson Cooper and the CNN crew who were there at the right time). The whole situation (looting, riots etc) is so devastating and unfortunately things like this do happen after a tragic earthquake. God bless CNN and Anderson Cooper. There are non lethal ways to control a riot and it is used. People are getting hurt in these riots lady... The little boy who was hit with a concrete block and was gushing blood, was not shot by a soldier, but was hurt by a Haitian from the top of a building. There is a fine line between shooting people looting for food trying to survive and allowing anarchy to persist and innocent people to be hurt or killed because you are soft or "SYMPATHETIC." I have no contempt for these people. But I do not respect people who steal from their neighbors. When all is said and done not only did the owner of that store lose the building that he owned, but everything in it because looters wanted baby clothes... That man who owned that store has nothing... The looters now own it. So keep being irrational and emotional... Par for course.

RyandocDO, How do the looters "own" it? Was there was a deed signing in the rubble that I missed? To you these people represent merely security or criminal justice conundrums... This is my last comment to you since you are a complete idiot. When did lack of respect and contempt become mutually exclusive? The rubble were buildings that people use to own. Just like if your house fell down and I went inside and stole all your valuables. Its amazing you can't get that point. They are human beings to me as well. And I understand that just because they are going thru a tragedy I am not going to overlook every misdeed they do in the name of being sympathetic.
