Konata is more complex than we give credit her for. Male Konatas must fit at least four of these criteria:

a) Able to function in society

b) Possessed of extraordinary abilities but unwilling to use them

c) Boke around some people, tsukkomi around others

d) Obviously gay

e) Friends/family > games > everything else

f) Social observer in games and IRL; desires but fears integration

g) Alternately competitive and lazy, depending on mood/arena

h) Geeky enough to psychoanalyze fictional characters

@supremegamesmaster But alas, I know this, on an LS BGM song, there was a debate about it and I was the one to point out what you pointed out to me. Doesn't mean I have to approve though. Though so far, theres an LS comic that continues the story drawn by the dude who made Lucky Star, Lucky Star a la Carte I think, Nothing's happened about that yet, but he still keeps those happenings that shall not be named.

Well, the nice thing about that list I made is that only four of the criteria have to fit. I think that picking and choosing at least four of those can make for a decent interpretation of Konata while still allowing flexibility -- you can go Hidden Depths or keep her comically simple.
