actually in 1986 they did have a huge problem with the Texas chainsaw movie. It had a hard time getting released in theaters because of the extreme violence, i remember the M.P.A.A. wanting to give it an X rating, there was no nc-17 at the time. I think the movie finally got a limited release unrated.

Personally, I like this almost as much as the original. I think it actually works that they don't show you all the gore. The first one didn't, and sometimes it's what you don't see that's the most terrifying.

Hey James, you should review Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation which came out in 1994. It's easily the worst of the series.

Not only is it the 3rd sequel to a film that didn't need any sequels to begin with, it also happens to feature exactly zero chainsaw deaths. Add to that the fact that the plot twist is all but given away on the DVD cover and for some reason Leatherface decides to become a transvestite, and you've got one hell of a stinker.
