  • that plane loves the tree

  • Very good 5stars

  • I have gotten the longest flights with the step on top and a little reflex. In 1985, I went to Kill Devil Hills, NC to challenge the Wright Brothers distance record of 122 feet. It was at this site where they first flew. My longest flight was with The Condor at 401 feet, four inches. It was shown on Good Morning America. My book The Ultimate Paper Airplane shows how to build one so you can toss it in very strong winds. Dick Kline

  • wow, thanks, I will look into that book. I want to learn how to build that plane. I have been making that plane in the vid for a long time. My friend and I would make a bunch of them in science class and then when the lunch bell rang we would throw them of the balcony(are school was 2 story's) and they would glide very slowly. I remember I made one that had a very fat airfoil and it glided about as fast as a slow walk. Its amazing how they dont stall. I am putting a kf 4 on my su-37. Thanks

  • I checked out Dick's book and it had some nice reviews about it, not sure I can really afford a book about paper airplanes : )

His design isn't the one I've seen but I would guess his one must be slightly better because there has been so much time put into it.

The one I've seen is like the origami waterbomb folds at the start, the torn of part is the tail. You should definatly try looking for it to compare with yours. You can find it on a website called armchairarcade, search through google.

  • I'm not trying to be rude but do you know that Mr. Kline the guy who replyed to you is the person who invented the airfoil that you used in you video. It's so awsome!

  • Wow dude, that one flys so good! Looks like it had a motor on it almost. Great research! I'll send this video to Dick Kline (He's the "K" in KF) He'll love it!

  • Wow that last one was good, these are kinda just your normal paperplanes right? The best plane I've ever made had a slot in tail, it's called the ultimate paper plane or something. It really is phenominal when u make a nicely balanced one.

Paper planes arn't really much about aerofoils, aerofoils are all about converting forwards motion into more lift than drag, they are just about not slowing down and not losing height. Still the more extreme aerofoil shows how they do have an effect.

  • I use airfoils in paper airplanes because I would rather have a plane that floated really slow not a little dart with no wings.

  • Ya, please do :-) All three foils.

  • ok, i will do the vid today or tomorrow
