I wish those of us in my program will do something like this. Ya'll look like ya'll had a blast. Speaking from experience, nursing school is the toughest thing I've ever done in my life but I've made some of the best friends that I will ever have in life. Can't wait until graduation May 12, 2011.

Now nursing school was a lot like poking myself in the eye every day with a sharp stick. My friend told me that I must have enjoyed my school much more than she did! I suggest finding a different job within nursing (no sense in letting that money and time go to waste). Nursing: many jobs, one profession!

Hi ;) I live in Poland and currently I finished the first year of the Nursing School. Studies last 3 years (bachelor's degree) + 2 years (master's degree), that is including 10 semesters. It is hard, but I think that it is worthwhile. I am greeting;)

Oh the joys of nursing school, more books that you can fit in your backpack, validations, paperwork for every clinical, research projects, sleepless nights, bags under they eyes, nurses with bad attitudes...I wouldn't change it for anything in the world. Sometimes my head feels as though I can't get one more peice of info in it, but somehow, I do it. People think nursing school is so easy...only us nursing students know how difficult and rewarding it really is.
I love this, the beginning is so very true, it is great to laugh about it. Excellent job guys, and thank you for making these videos to help brighten the day of current nursing students. It sure made mine =)

Nursing is only fun while you're a student. Just wait until you've been working in the field. Go into medicine, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, lab technology, speech and language pathology, etc. instead. There is always a shortage of nurses because people leave the field in droves. Nursing is not what you think it will be 95% of the time.
Hmm everyone I know who is already in the field loves it. There's no reason for you to discourage others just because it didn't work for you. There's a shortage because there's not enough instructors!
@trackstarally There isn't ANY shortage of nurses at all. It looks like you have also been brainwashed. I am a nurse and love taking care of my patients, but this field has some of the worst working conditions ever. There isn't any stability and you better be prepared to suffer the worst stress of your life. It seems like you're living in a dream world and I guarantee you either A) aren't in nursing at ALL & don't like "hearing" the reality or B) haven't been a nurse too long. Research it! :)

I love human science...my patients..and don't even mind the dirty work..it's the unavoidable harassment, abuse, bullying, and corruption that you will face. Are you currently in nursing school and experiencing this but think it will get better? Think again, it gets worse. Nursing school just conditions students to accept abuse. You are brainwashed to live in denial and defend the nursing profession.
@trackstarally You must not know every nurse in this field. All of the nurses that I know, state otherwise. They are miserable. They are tired of being treated less than human in this field, the long hours, work overload, horrible graveyard swinging shifts, abusive coworkers/patients, & corrupt staff.You live in a TOTAL dream world & I GUARANTEE you aren't even a nurse or in nursing school..seems people give you a thumbs up because you're saying what they want to hear.Not the truth.
@ReginaChick Regina, you are completely correct. I am a nurse and great at what I do. Most of the nurses that I know are miserable and beyond stressed. In nursing, you are degraded DAILY and consistently spoken down to..and that's NOTHING in comparison to what else you will have to deal with. I wouldn't encourage my worst enemy to go into nursing. People should google "I hate nursing" or "I regret becoming a nurse", etc. Nurses condition themselves to be treated like dirt. Unfair & sad. :-(
