the baker street he talks about is in my town and where proud to know we such a jazz legend be be raised and compose a song about out street rip gerry rafferty even though am 17 il still love your music even when im 67 and all make sure my grand children hear of you hope everyone enjoys one of our towns heros
I am only 15. But come from a white south African family. And this, spaceman(Chris de burgh.), and land down under(men at work) make me wish I was born a long time ago
@666gemgem The reason is in one way unfortunate and in another an example of why true art is timeless this is because yes the new is flashy and impressive in its own way but unless it has some substance it won't really last this is why in 50 60 years classics such as this will still be remembered while the shallow unmeaning full garbage will be forgotten it has always been so and always shall be.
@KonradIkov23 actually the saxophone was by Raphael Ravenscroft. The "myth" that Bob Holness played the sax on this was supposedly started in the 80s by Stuart Maconie (yes from Radio 2) back when he used to write for New Musical Express.
where the f**k have i heard this song before? once that saxophone kicks in i just remember the song immediately but dunno where the hell i could've heard it..
@LeeyannInPink well maybe your dad and gerry can have some fun singing this together now!! i know it hurts but your dad will always be with you in spirit!!! and in your memories forever. all the best.
listening to this in 2012---a true classic-out of this world.

@666gemgem Because the old one was no doubt taken off so Vevo could take over it completely. This was only added a few months ago.
