Yes most Univ in united states may offer a combined MD/Ph.D degree as well. maybe if that helps you. You can be clinician as well as scientist at same time

Yes, it's quite hard and its hard to get into Medicine after since they accept about 20 post grads

I got an offer for biomedical science at York university(Canada) and also one for biochemistry.

Which one of the two do you think is the most appropriate to do medicine later on?

biomedical sciences is one of the hardest degrees. im a 3rd year at king's college london studying it and biomedics learn much more than dentists and medics. the dentists hardly get lectured but with biomedics its lectures and continuous assesment (practicals etc). i would recommend doing it if u r ready to put in the hard work. ive got a place 2 carry on with dentistry after i finish. oh yes and please do this course if u wanna do medicine and u dont get in 2 str8 away. its a bakup option

I'm thinking of going into biomedical sciences as well..If you wanna be a doctor, prepare to go to school for at least 7 years (sometimes more) and be prepared to work extremely hard. It's very hard to get into Medical School after university..doctors can have the potential to make a very attractive salary, depending on what they do.
