  • auto tensioner!!!

  • spun rod bearings are very common for H22's it sounds like youve done just that

  • Have F22B1 that makes the same noise at about the same RPM. I haven't cared, because mine's some 300,000mile hack up job, but I hope you get yours fixed.

  • The sound that this H22 makes at idle is similar to the sound mine makes at idle, difference is, mine doesn't start making knocking noises when revved. Any ideas?

  • @DaBomb31290 check your timing belt tension

  • That's a rod.. Knock Knock Knock is a ROD. TICK TICK TICK IS A Valve.

  • idk..when i put my h22a4 in it sounded similar to that until i had the valves adjusted now its quiet...thats a toss up

  • sounds like a bearing. seriously. I had the same noise on my h22. only one was totally spun but it was bad enough to sound EXACTLY like that. pull your oil pan and take off your rod caps. Ill bet you find a spun bearing.

  • its a rod knock, the rod bearings are gone on one of the rod's.

  • That doesnt sound like the valves to me.Valves are usually a little quieter then that even when there out of spec

  • I've had a spun rod bearing and it didn't sound like that... I doubt it's valves either... valves would be more of a ticking sound and not a knocking sound.

  • omg stop!!! check your valve clearance and make sure your timing is set. if not valves could be a rod bearing .
