  • Thats how it get to school.

  • I am so jealous at persones who are doing like this

  • ive tried it i live in sweden but i did that out of a helicopter im not crazy to do it through a mountain

  • How do you land a wing suit?

  • @Sasuke10032 Parachute

  • 9 PEOPLE HAVE HEIGHT PHOBIA

  • I've watched a lot of these videos. This one is by far the best in quality, scenery, music, and just "putting you there." Great job.

  • @hopslam10 wot bout wingsuit basejumping need 4 speed?

    Date: 2007 Aug 14

    Nationality: Australian

    Object Type: Earth

    Location: NORWAY, , Langrappiken

    COD: Impact

Description: This report came from Simon Plume, a friend of Stevo's who was also on the load:

  • That must feel amazing...Like Sex on the wing of a F-16 in flight.

  • There is only one feeling better than skydiving with a wing suite - building your own computer. Imagine the advanced circuitry computing your processing desires and creating a PC in your own image - as if you were God. Nothing comes close to building and owning your own computer.

  • @tore28 Ha nerd :)

  • i imagine guys that do this love it more than anything else, and if you die doing it, at least you went out doing what you love. R.I.P. Stevo

  • As a Norwegian, I am proud to see my beautiful country and its beautiful nature being displayed in such wild and raw stunning display as in this video.

  • What happened to the guy we just saw fly into the fog...did he die?

  • omgwtfbbq i want a wingsuit

  • what happen to steavo

  • @412life he ate shit. really really big shit. we call it a mountain.

  • hats off to guys with the nerve to do this stuff,... but does one need an IFR to base jump into zero visibility weather or just a death wish?

  • These guys flying with wing suits is incredible. I just don't understand how they are able to get moving horizontally (with respect to the ground) so fast. The wing suit must provide enough lift.... Amazing stuff.

  • @imtxsmoke They don`t move horizontally their fall is just slower and because they are moving in front as well, it creates the sense to you that they are moving horizontally, but yea indeed it`s amazing stuff and balls made of steal.

  • fukin AMAZING!!!!!! they are living the dream..at the same time making it possible for us to witness the incredible experience....

  • One day...I have flown in my dreams but I would like it to become a reality.

  • Ok, ok. I have been into the "gates of Mordor" (free fall parachuting) and survived. I must tell you it was awsome with a BIG "A".

Base jumping, ok, I have grown some respect for the safty area, and I'll whait till I've done 250-ish before I consider it again.

  • i like em so much i like to experience this my self but due to the shot life i thing i just kick back and the video lol

  • Stunning, who is the soundtrack by?

  • @lucywaters1- Mike Oldfield - Quicksilver

  • its amazing :O

  • flying nuns lol

  • this is amazing, nothing like flying in the tunnel and i have a lot of tunnel time

  • I always dreamed of flying and that is why i started skydiving 30 years ago. but thanks to this video i am saving up to get a wing suit . great video and blue skies!

  • 363,572 views is not enough. This would be the "ultimate experience", to quote martiandj. I will do this before I die, and urge everyone to do the same.

  • "...before I die..."

Does it matter how I land? :P

(Yes, I know it's bad joke....), btw, I'm doing my first jump on May the 2nd 2010. Wish me luck. I wish to thank all the youtube video's and my family for pushing me over the cliff on this activity, also my mother for trying keep in her tears after she saw this video, and after she bought me my 1st course for my 20th birthday.

And yes, when I'm excited I talk to much non-sence. People, have a great day tomorrow!

  • what's the story on Stevo? did he lose his life doing this?

  • you need to do this in a city :P

  • Oh to be young, athletic, disciplined, and have gonads the size these guys do. WOW.

  • way to go my Croatian brother:)

  • beautiful

  • 2:59 - thats some guts right there... This will be the ultimatum experience .... one day ...one day....

  • respect

  • this is bad ass

  • Where do I buy the Suits please??? Let me know.

  • after 200+ skydives, then base jumping training, then more skydives to get used to a wing suit... then go do this..

  • serious man ? that much training before fly suit capable ?

  • not that much for just a wing suit. if you want to skydive with a wingsuit you just have to get your A license pretty sure then move on to a wingsuit when you feel comfortable.

  • ok, thanks

  • Take this advice from OrigProdigy and I promise guaranteed success at committing suicide..... you seriously shouldn't give out advice when you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

  • I never once said to go do 200 jumps then do this, I realize you have to not only be completely comfortable with base jumping but with a wing suit as well to do this. I was just saying what has to be done before somebody should ever attempt this.

  • @OrigProdigy I'm on my way already :-) give me a year and I'll experience my first wingsuit flught

  • I wish I could do this =[

  • @supermanondrugs1 what's stopping you, seems like you're making excuses

  • Holy shit, this is awesome.

  • give me a just fucking break man this is something awesome !!!!!! :D

  • This is so beautiful! I can literally taste the adrenalin these guys must be kicked by while flying such kind.

I'm not sure, but I guess they have to fly so nearby to the cliffs to get the upward airstream to carry them through that human-rocket party. awesome

  • I've "flown" these vids so many times, I know the route down now! That old bend in the road, know that, reckon I can anticipate that one and make it past in one piece.

  • there is one guy that is closer. or mabye even more. :P. well the guy im talking about is like 1,5 or 2 meters from a rock, were the people are standing. i dont know hes name but hes from norway, and sadly hes dead :(

  • Wow! Is that how he died!? R.I.P.

Not many people leave our world doing what they love. . not many people experience half as much for that matter!

  • no this is not stevo and he didnt die like this.

  • us can't fly, only fall but...

  • Rest in peace Stevo...

    what music ist this?

  • shut the fuck up already about computers!

Man I wanna do this, I'm from Norway myself. But the risk....

  • i think stevo is the first guy that tried to jump like this... xD

    kidding, but, OMG!!

i want to do this, but what should i do about the fear? hehehehehe

they made it look easy... =)

  • rest in pieces Stevo...

  • oh man.

youtube...the only place where a basejumping vid can start a fight between base and computers

  • Super sprawa... muzyka extra + sport nieprzeciętny :)

  • wspaniałe :-)

  • great vid....but why the hell are you weirdos commenting about computers!?

  • Hey muppet... try reading what other people have said and then you will understand the thread in it's entirety.

  • Are those special wing suits

the wings themselves seem a whole lot wider

  • As always this footage is breathtaking. Where exactly is this in Norway? I tried to find KrasKriting (sp) with no luck on the google earth. also....what music is this?...terrific as well.

  • Is this Trollstigen?

  • I'd love to be able to go back in time and show this video to DaVinci and say look what we can do! I wonder if he'd be more impressed by the flying suit or the youtube vid. haha or the fact I travelled thru time. Never thought of that. what a world we live in.

  • Are you fucking kidding me?

What is more impressive, a light suit that resembles a bird, or a massive network of computers with tiny devices the size of your fingernail that can perform billions of computations per second, connected in a vast network that stretches around the world and literally lives a life of its own?

I wonder what he would think is more impressive!

I love wingsuits, but computers are in a completely different league, most people don't realize how advanced computers are.

  • anyone can operate a computer...

  • No, you're COMPLETELY WRONG.

Anyone can use the Windows OS to watch porn and youtube (and be stupid enough to get plenty of malware in the process), fantastic! Around the intelligence of fucking apes.

Most people can't program, they can't operate a real OS, not even Windows, they don't understand how the computer is made, how it works, they use the Internet but don't know what it even is, or how that works either.

People are stupid and don't want to learn, most people even despise knowledge.

  • You should've added the word badly to the end of that as posixoptions is absolutely right.

There is no comparison between a wing suit and modern day computer systems. Companies like Intel, AMD, Microsoft and many others have made it easy for the world to enjoy by handling all of the complexity for you but do not be mistaken, a serious amount of work goes into producing a pc that you buy from pcworld for a couple of hundred of your hard earned pennies.

  • ok geek squad, i'm just saying, anyone can use a computer, but only a handful of people have ever jumped like this...if i mess up a computer it can be fixed...these guys dont have much room for error...not that i've ever done it.

  • when u say "pc" u mean PersonalComputer right?

cause spelling the word "pc" on a parachute video have a complet different meaning xD

  • Yes, that is correct. My apologies for the confusion.

I was replying to someone who compared a wing suit to a computer. There is no comparison. Computers win hands down although I will go on record by saying I fully enjoyed this video and would love to try this sport.

I am no geek by the way. I am a software architect who just has an appreciation for what computers have done for this world we live in. :-)

  • Unbelievably awesome.

  • what happened, specificly, to stevo?

  • I always find myself gripping my chair when i watch this vid...Death has never been so beautifully express....

  • All's cool, but where can I find a real video experience?

    Someone has an address?

I mean like in a WHOLE jump, Launch to Land, FPP?

  • sddr

  • This must be the ultimate feeling!

  • i'm doing this before I die! Awesome vid

  • yeah probably just before :)

  • lol

  • he he, word!

  • please do not talk garbage thorjelouie! A wingsuit HAS ram-air wings with a curved surface so it flys like an airplane without engine...

  • I'm impressed, must have nerves of steel. Good stuff

  • what happens after you fly into the cloud? :/

  • nothing, you go through it, if a cloud is really gray if your foolish enough to breath in it can burn your lungs a bit, nothing major though.

  • BIG RESPECT...amazing.

  • Is the Wing Suits like flying?

  • Yes, and I´d would encourage You to pls google wingsuit norway and his nowadays partner Phoenix inc, but they are now competitiors with each other.

    Long live Stevo! R.I.P.

  • My guess is that this could be from the Troll Wall (Trollveggen) in Norway. If so, this jumping is illegal. Eight people have died jumping from that place. So sad, and so totally stupid.

  • Highways are home to numerous deaths, some exceeding more then 8 in one accident, so by their logic should we close all these roads? Life and death go hand in hand and everyone of their jumpers knew the potential consequences. Future jumpers should be given the freedom to make that decision, but instead have to resort to performing it illegally and maybe because of it they'll rush the jump, and ironically, end up dying because of it.

  • The problem with the Troll Wall is that it's NOT solid rock. You wouldn't let people drive on a road which could brake down any minute. If you want to go flying in Norway, visit the Kjerag. People should respect the law. Jumping from the Troll Wall was made illegal by the authorities in 1986. If you wonder why, read more about the Troll Wall on Wikipedia.

  • What do you mean by 'NOT solid rock'? Not trying to be argumentative, but rather better understand the situation. It looks pretty solid to me. Is it that the edge is prone to breaking off when a jumper is setting up?

  • D12isBad, well, I'm born in 1955 and from Norway. I lived near The Troll Wall for several years. Last year we had a rock slide there. In Norwegian the rock is called "gneis" and it's very unstable. Even if you're a good base jumper you rish being killed by a slide. You should rather visit the Kjerag.

  • AWESOME VIDEO. By the way, for those asking, the track is Quicksilver by Mike Oldfield from the album Light + Shade. Peace!

  • Way Cool. I believe he may be using the always reliable, strap-on 'PeckerCam' for capturing the incredible footage.

  • hell yeah!!!!!!!!!

  • that looks just amazing.

  • Why best?

  • Wow amazing!

I would like to do this!

  • Hell yeah!

Norway is the best country in the WORLD!!!

  • Probably as close to a bird flying as man is going to get. awesome

  • nice!!

  • Holy hell.

  • i wana do this sooooo bad!!!!

  • u haven't seen the video where the jumper runs into a bridge. see it and than teel me if u still want to do this

  • I don't know who Stevo was, but my guess is that he was the guy who flew into the fog, cause that is a really dumb idea. You kids don't try this at home.

  • I'm with kooko on this- lmfao

I wondered the same thing!!- But sometimes ya can't plan the conditions on the day of a trip!

Helluva ride if this was the case and if you're gonna go... MAKE A BIG HOLE!! :D :D

  • cool

  • If I participated in this kind of sport, I wouldn't even need to land to die--the shock of falling from such a height would end it. O.o

  • whats the song called

  • The song is called Quicksilver and it's by Mike Oldfield.

  • god jul

  • god jul

  • i love extreme sports but hate rollercoasters only cos im not in control of them if i was i'd be fine but stuff like this doesnt make me feel anything bad just great so wanna do it !!

  • Use memory cloth! haha- Great video BTW

  • Piece of cake !

  • Can they make the suits with more material from wrist to ankle? looks like they can almost 'pull up' and land on a grassy plain.

  • I can ONLY imagine!

  • wow, to feel and see what birds have is once in a life time experance. I work for an airline and still am amazed how we can fly at all.

  • If you are a pilot or a technician, please let me know what company you are working for for I can avoid it;-)

  • cute,,,,no I'm not a pilot. Work in the airport. But love to watch the planes take off.

  • Man... with 3-1, it's almost enough to land :P All they would need is a very small chute...

  • Talk about living...

i would give alot to do this.

  • I keep watching and watching it. Being a skydiver, this brings new interest to the sport.

This is the essence of the dream of flight !!

    Impressive

  • It looks amazing but I just feel that anyone who tries this is taking too much of a risk. You try doing this 40 times you will probably kill yourself eventually

  • the guys who do this need to have atleast 200 base jumps to qualify for this close proximity flying.

    so figure it out yourself

  • syevo cest un mec mort en faisant ca?is he a swuitwing accident death?

  • jai beau avoir le vertige ca me donne envie, cest impressionnant et superbe

  • Reminds me a lot of sugar gliders! I HAVE to try this when I get old enough and over my fear of falling (not heights, just falling)

  • Very technical stuff here , the "valley" swoops here must be flown center or die..I'd say Stevo did more living as a parachutist than 99% of people that were ever born.

  • all my life ive been wanting something, i found this a few weeks ago. this is wat i want!!!

  • norway is such a beautifull country

  • yes

  • Without a doubt...the most thrilling wing suite video I have ever seen...I deeply respect your craft gentlemen!

    Keep Flyin High!

  • if just jumping in parachute its a feeling without comparition think about this!!!

  • the most awesome thing Ive ever seen, speachless..

  • poor Stevo.

Prolly went IMC n then SPLACKO!

    Rock-stain.

kinda how it is. too bad

  • What's the glide ratio?

  • 3 feet forward to 1 foot down.

  • hmm 3:1.

Kinda like my gramma when she stumbles outta her walker.

  • That has to be the best feeling in the world!!! Great Vid

  • just found out about the whole wingsuit thing from a piece on jeb corliss on espn, and i must say it is the most extreme/metal/unreal/awesome/ultimate adjective thing i have ever come across. if i ever meet one of the guys/gals who does this, i will do my best to treat them like a king/queen

  • How the hell do you glide so long with balls that big? They must weigh you down!

  • an object in motion will stay in motion unless acted upon by an equal or greater force lol

  • some serious coolness right there!

  • A friend of mine tried using a wing suit a while back and said that it was alot of fun, but rather frightening for him when trying to deploy the chute once done gliding. The airflow around his particular suit caused issues with the parachute opening properly and kind of took away the want to try it again desire for his next skydive. Maybe that was just a fluke dive but he mentioned other poeple had some opening issues with the chute as well.

  • In newer designs the arm's airfoil collapse better. We had Phoenix-Fly's lead engineer do a guest lecture to our university's engineering college. Also key is dropping out of "flight tuck"

  • who is Phoenix-Flys lead engineer 5krif?

  • This guy, Robert something, he shows off their wings in the US, why do you ask?

  • Bloody awesome. What kind of glide ratio do you get and can you buy the suits or do you have to make your own, if so where can i get plans. Is there a school as such to learn to fly?

  • ive heard 3:1....but i dont know. you buy the suits, check out "pheonix fly"

  • You probably don't want to build your own unless your an engineer.

  • this is so sick! i hope i can try this one day. mad props to the guys who attempted this and invented this. im definitely gonna go do some research on this. MockEmpire u are so right, including me i also dream that one day i can physically fly!

  • Hello my name is Carlos.I live in California.I sorry to hear about Stevo. He has ispired many here in San Jose. In another clip, a man wants to creat a suit that will not require a parachute to land. I belive that this video was the big key along with the other video clips on youtube. We can all help solve the problem. He didn't do it for just no reason. Speed can be control with an aditional modification to the suit. That day will come when parachutes were the thing of the past. God speed.

  • are you always going down? please respond!!!1

  • Yes you dumbass

  • Isn't gravity a bitch.

  • this is got to be the best thing ive ever seen

where can i learn to do it

  • Man you would have to so be in shape. You would have to be the supporting structure of that suit so there is no relaxing in mid flight.I would love to find out more about this. Great stuff!

  • AMAZING!! souring like an egal!!

i wana try this some day!!

  • so amazing. Men for 1000's of years have dreamed of this.

  • steveo is that guy that jumps in the fog at the end of the video?
