Hey, I got a question, maybe you can help. I remember an apple ad from awhile back, that I can't quite remember what it was for, but I remember a guy getting blasted with rays from his computer or something, and when he turned around, there was a huge X punched out of his wall (From the power of OS X, I guess). I've looked for this everywhere, and I just can't find it! Any help?

@tweetyaja Quicktime on OS X certainly can, at least it did back then. I can't speak for Quicktime X but the older versions did. Some folks preferred to read PDFs in Quicktime because it was a bit more snappy than the Preview app.

Jaguar is a great OS. I love the pinstripes and the very aquaish look of it. It also introduced Quartz Accelerated video and ilife 04 with garageband , imovie , iphoto is freat to work on it. And the best is that 10.2.x only uses 128MB of RAM - its ideal for anything G3 powered, even beige desktops from 98/99.

The reason it is a PDF file is because, Apple used to integrate PDF files into everything, like documents, pictures, videos, animations, quartz compositions, etc. You would of known that if you watched the early OS X expo videos.

@Macintosh3745 PCs cannot read Mac discs unless you download special software like MacDrive or HFS Explorer. MacDrive is great but you have to buy it.

I like the futuristic design of both the ad and the iMac G4. It sucks that Apple changed from PowerPC to Intel, that made the Macs look more like a PC. And I don't care that you can run Windows on the Mac with Intel, I just use my PC if I need.
