Actually, not really. Chief Justice John Roberts tried to memorize the oath, and he screwed up the word order when administering it -- he put the word "faithfully" in the wrong place -- still grammatically correct, but just not the correct word order. That put Obama in the position of deciding whether to repeat Roberts' error, or to say the oath correctly. Hence the stumble.
i'm no bush supporter; however, if you think that bush was bad, you haven't seen anything yet to wit, obama. at least bush is'nt anti-american as obama apparently is. bush squandered his chance to become one of america's greatest presidents. that's true. however, the time will come, and very soon i suspect, that the bush detractors will be longing for the " good old g.w. bush days." moreover, i don't see why they hate him so much. after all, bush is basically a liberal, e.g., immigration, etc.
I cant wait till he's gone. Im sick of hearing it was all clinton's fault that we are in this economic mess. Clinton balanced our budget, eliminated our debt, which by the way was accumulated under reagen and george h.w. bush, and we had a surplus. Bush used his two terms two run our country to the ground. Well, we only have till jan. 20 till jackhole is out.
It was also under Clinton that banks were forced in the community reinvestment act to give loans they knew would not be able to be paid back. It's not all Clinton's fault, there's plenty of blame on all sides to go around, but it's not like Clinton's blameless either. Bush took no action on some issues here, but we've had a Democratic congress for the past two years, and they could have taken some action themselves. When something this major happens, nobody's blameless.
How? Is he the pride of half of the American country now in foreclosure? How is he such a hero for the way he reached out to these people? I never saw any outreach by him, and he got into office on his father's coattails. Give me a break---lousy president just trying to fill his father's agenda. Why else would he have chosen Cheney (his father's crony) as VP? Tells me alot about his character. My mother said it best--when a Republican is in office, save your pennies!
holt2k you know better than to talk American History to a republican. They don't know who Thomas Jefferson and Teddy Roosevelt were. Hell a lot of them don't even know who was elected 15 years ago.

Look, I don't know what commie country you escaped from, but my God, if Gore were President, we would be living through nuclear winter right now! Don't you Bush haters realize this? The election (appointment) of President Bush was a message from and intervention by God to save the North American continent! Just think of how much weaker Gore would have been than even Clinton. God bless George W Bush, and God bless President elect John McCain! Long live the United States of America!
Its funny how it was Obama that actually fumbled the oath in real life.

Yeah, but to hear the media, it was all Robert's fault. This video is a good representation of the truly mean-spirited in our country.
