It was actually ear-splitting, Like a dragon's roar should be. Except, Ridley's is ear-splitting because of the high pitch, not the volume. I personally think it sounds cool too but it gets annoying after too long.

im making a metroid game, the setting is "new zebes" (all of the meteors and stuff were put back together) and the final battles against aurora unit 666(nice eh?) now for ridley, should i make so that when samus is about to die against aurora, meta ridley comes in and takes the blow or no?

The beast is probably just referring to Caeser's, because that guy was ordering the believers of Jesus to be executed at the time the bible was being written. Also, back then, names could be translated into numbers and Caeser's full name in numeric format was 666.

That's actually a very old mistranslation, I believe it got in in the ancient Greek translation of the bible(One of the oldest), which is also where the name Genesis came from.

@amazingfilms4 Actually, the number 666 came from the Hebrew bible, and Judism has been around far longer than Christianity. Christianity borrows a lot from Judisim. 666 was a mistranslation of what the number actually was, which was 616.

Well, I guess that's because Zero Mission is a remake of that original, and the remake is only for GBA.

Ridley's theme is one of the earliest pieces of video game music I remember, from when I was like...seven.  Someone was playing Super Metroid in the rec room, and I thought, "Wow, that is badass!"
