@ucfdavid04 I don't care about downsizing. As long as I have atleast 2 toms, I'm set. I've gone from 8 to 4 and then I'll have 2 w/ this Gretsch. The 505 was a starter kit made of "various hardwoods", this Gretsch is mahogany, I can't wait.

But replace the heads, for heavy hitters they split/dip so easily, muffle the bass drum a bit aswell all though its a cannon its amazing but more epic muffled, the snare needs to be cranked up to the full with an evans Super tough! The only thing i dont like about this kit is how the floor tom sounds. I'd prefer it to be lower/deeper. Can you get a bigger floor tom with the kit? Great drumming btw.
