  • Not white

  • Taki 187 was greek

  • I think artists like Matisyahu are proof that while hip hop does lose something when it's separated out from the culture in which it emerged, it also gains tremendously from it's joining with other cultural settings. Ultimately we all benefit when cultures and ideas merge.

  • seriusly amazing sauce right here two great performers/song writers. People that dont need to live the "rock star" image, but they keep it real for us

  • ahahahahahahahahahaha if your loving the jew beat boxing thenf air play....

  • Wasn't the n word birthed out of the mispronunciation of Niger? As in people who came from Niger are Nigers?

  • Nope, it's a slurring of negro, the spanish word for 'black'

  • Nigger is derived from the Spanish 'negro,' meaning black. Also, the demonym for Niger is a Nigerien, as opposed to the demonym of Nigeria (Nigerian).

  • i wont even get into your claim about what it means to be a nigger, but your claim that rap was invented by whites is largely false. it was popularized by whites...

  • what? a nigger is a dumb ignorant person. And rap in an early form was made in africa as an english dialect so yes i was wrong there.

  • Nigger is and always has been an offensive term for someone who is black. And you know that, making your redefining of the term the only ignorant thing about it, and equally as offensive considering the comparison and insinuation it draws. And rap by any and every definition of the term originated in the Bronx with the invention of something called the break... a DJing technique pioneered by DJ Kool Herc... a jamaican

  • since everything in the universe is just perspective, i'm just going to say whatever, you have your information which I'll take into consideration and i have mine.

  • No. White people had *NOTHING* to do with the creation of rap as an artform. Hip Hop as a culture, yes. I take nothing away from my white brothers and sisters who were there in the early days and who have made positive contributions to this culture, and the arts that comprise it. Graffiti, in particular has had many people of all backgrounds. Taki 187, one of the first to do graff, was white.

As a bboy for 30 years, I will not let you or anyone else distort truth.

  • @malcolmhoover okies, i think i admitted my mistake earlier, i'll just let you be since this is your culture, i'm just enjoying the music and am exiting the discussion. Jeez though, these are some good fucking artist.

  • @MutleeIsTheAntiGod I didn't see that, sorry. I *am* protective of the culture. Peace and thank you.

  • The Freestyling refers to Matisyahu as opposed to Saul.

  • 2 spiritual leaders on one stage

  • cool lyrics as well.. "You can take your aim, but you cant kill the truth." HOlleluYAH!!!

  • whoa!!! tears man...so powerful who cares about a freestyle for this one

    wow

    thank you for this post

    Bless

    Yadi

  • cool

  • It wasn't a freestyle cause hes done it before, But it's still sick!!

  • It was Matisyahu's Freestyle Beatboxing, not Saul's

  • 3:10 - 3:15 how boss

  • Yeah that's not a freestyle that's from PG

  • Lovesick! Ahavas Yisrael!

  • This isn't freestyle at all.

It's the song off of his CD.

The extra part at the end isn't on the CD but he's done it live before.

Lol, I mean, if it was freestyle, how would the heartbeat song be coming out of the speakers when he was randomly freestyling about his heart beat?

  • *sound, not song

  • im pretty sure that was matisyahu creating the heartbeat dude...

  • There's just a delay on the audio in the video. I'm sure you know this by now and just feel silly, so it's okay.

  • it was great!!

    i liked it alot

  • Pretty cool.

  • Wicked, I wasn't expecting it either. It's quite good.

  • That is a variation of the song, "PG." It isn't entirely a freestyle.

  • what evidence do have supporting this?

  • that's not a freestyle.. isn't that from his song PG?

  • CRAZY, but awesome!!

SHALOM TO EVERYONE AROUND THE WORLD!

    WE WANT MOSHIACH NOW!

  • This version is great!

  • Well that's one collab I would have never seen coming. Not terrible though, but i'll stick to having them seperate
