Gorgeous plane. I swear it was 1976 and I saw a real B-29 flying in Delaware. (I was 4 so cannot be certain) I know I felt the engines in my chest.

I saw this plane fly at Byron's Expo in 1991, the last year the event was held at Ida Grove. Colonel Paul Tibbets who flew the Enola Gay that dropped the atom bomb on Hiroshima was there too. Byron's put on an excellent RC show with many awesome flyers. The B-29 was the highlight of the show and it was truly amazing.

I have always known about what happened but this is the first time I have saw the video. I am the current President of the Iowa Aviation Heritage Museum. We had the opportunity to acquire the Aircraft from the Aviation Expo when they folded and we did not want them to disappear. They are displayed proudly in ou4r Museum at the Ankeny Regional Airport. We will never fly these aircraft again as they are now irreplaceable. Please come out to the museum and see these Aircraft.
