I'm a leftist and I still agree with this assessment, military spending, especially in earmarks, is out of control. I remember back when there was a big stink about the Bush white house giving superfluous money to Haliburton, this is the same thing only on the congressional level, whichever way you look at it this is money wasted, and it's a bipartisan problem! Both republicans and democrats are throwing money at the military industrial complex for some reason. I smell lobbyists on the wind.
