I could see why she would want to hide her pregnancy. She had only been governor for about 8 months when she got pregnant. That makes her look irresponsible. And with her abstinence only policy it makes her look like a hypocrite.

Hi Ampers, just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate your work. It's intelligent and well done and not at all defamating for anyone. If family members should be kept out of politics, then keep 'em out! Kind of stumbled upon this video series. Interesting thoughts. It would seem to me that the clearest and easiest way to debunk a rumor of this nature is to release some simple hospital records. The testimony of the Obstetrician and some basic info would clear it up.

However, this whole story does resonate with me on some level because what I see on Television doesn't strike me as a new mother. Now, I know the Governor is a very busy woman, but I have yet to see any photo's of her being a mom.

The baby isn't listed on the hospital's baby page. The only conclusive pics of her in pregnancy are documented from being from previous children. Sarah is almost never pictured holding or touching the kid. The ONE pic I've seen of her doing this, she's holding the kid at waist-high, not against her chest. Bristol is NOT pregnant now. We will see ZERO pics of Bristol with a tummy bulge now. Be ready for a tragic "miscarriage" story in the coming weeks. Bet ya a zillion dollars.

I agree this news that Bristol is 5 months pregnant is very suspicious; it was concocted as "proof" that she couldn't be Trig's mom. Notice they made her pregnancy far enough along to reach back to when Trig was born, but only far enough along so that her due date would be AFTER the election (and even inauguration). Her mother blabbed her daughter's humiliating private business to the nation for political reasons; what WOULDN'T she do for the GOP?

Yes, I have to say that this cover story -- the bloggers forced them to reveal Bristoll's pregnancy -- seems pretty ridiculous on its face. There's obviously many other ways to prove paternity (and maternity) -- medical records, DNA or whatever. This is more of a changing of the subject in a sense.

I think "Life happens, kids get into trouble" is something beyond ideology -- it's just common sense. As far as Ms. Palin doing an outstanding job in her personal life, sorry, I take exception. She flew while IN LABOR with Trig (a premie as well as Down baby) which is very dangerous and she's admitted this. And she elected to get on the ticket knowing this would mean investigation of her personal life -- and that means her family. I don't think she put Bristol (or Trig) first at all. Not at all.

1) If you ask me to vote for you because of your family "story," I get to ask questions so I can make an informed choice.

2) If you are in a position to implement your values on other people using the levers of government (with policies denying biologically accurate sex education, and preaching contraceptive-free abstinence as birth control as the Guv does), you're accountable for not living up to those values.
