  • if one of those blades would have come off , someones throat would have got slashed.

    ^_^

  • Looks Neat but kind of like a game of roulette everyone stand in a circle and wait for a blade to fly off. Maybe some safety glass to stand behind would be nice or maybe im just too paranoid.

  • A newbie's piece of advice learned the hard way: The stand has one drawback. As you try to bring the machine level from the extreme angles encountered especially on start-up and if you spend a lot of time flopping from side to side or fore and aft as you try to gain control there is so much force exerted on the thin walled hollow main driveshaft by the swashplate assembly that sooner or later you will bend it. (the driveshaft) That happened to me with my Blade 4003D

  • Looks a good plan, wonder if anything like this would work with my Walkera tandem???

  • I think you would risk blades strikes considering that it is not level when you start up. Even with a standard copter you have to spin up carefully.

  • just a little advice when you turn on rx or plug in heli bat have it as level as possible otherwise gyro will not be initialized

  • Thanks for the advice. I did do that.

  • yes they look very helpful and you know if an experienced flyer like dave uses it its got to help in all aspects of flight

  • good ol dave isnt he the smartest

  • Yeah, he's helped in my learning curve of these things in the last year. That stand is very good for initial testing of trim.
