The Beatles can not be disputed as the most important musicians in the last century, however, if you were going to make a truly unbiased comparison of vocal ability, you can't compare a rock band to a vocal group who's specialty is a cappella vocals at the drop of a hat. BSB won't ever approach their status, and of course the beatles were superior players and writers... but not superior singers. Just saying.

I've been a fan of these guys since I was 11, I'm 22. I still jam, I still know the words and I still get obnoxiously excited every time I hear any of their tunes. Funny thing is, I never fell into the whole 'pop star meets boy band' fever. Because I've never listened to a boy band, The Backstreet Boys are and have always been a Singing Group, a vocal band if you wish. R&B, hip-hop/rap, pop tampered with dance & alternative. Why then degrade them to a "Boy Band" when they're much more than that.

is i was watching an nysnc video from TOTP cuz i was curious about their live performance..and they were lip syncing and all the comments were like well TOTP makes everyone lip sync...

@cecilvmh3 mmm I definitely agree with you about N Sync lipsync-ing on TOTP but don't forget that they were perfectly capable of singing live and dancing at the same time, and dancing to (in my own opinion) much harder choreography than this.
