He coulld have gotten just as many yards at f.b. in college. I compared him to James Brown when he first got to OU.

He's great now but there are many players who looked like the best then got injured and lived an average career. I say he's somewhat right about his blocking and fumble. I just got done watching the Bears and Vikings game and Peterson fumbled twice and let two sack on the QB. Watching the replays the sacks shouldn't have happened, it's like he moved out of the way.
funny thing is peterson started like only 7 games and he missed 2 more games because of that knee injury yet he's still right up there with LT. he's gonna kill the broncos in week 17 and thats when he's gonna win the rushing title.

Don't know about you, but I see the running style of Walter Payton, the speed of Gale Sayers and the power of Earl Campbell when I watch this guy. How long he can endure the NFL collision after collision remains to be seen, but I think he's incredible. And he has a good head and personality too. I wish him the best.

Yep, the spin move was on Jonathan Vilma, the 2004 Def.Rookie of the Year and a Pro Bowler in '05 (173 tackles). I think NYJ threw out a different defensive set this past season that cut back his tackles and cost him an '06 Pro Bowl spot...but the dude is still better than your average NFL LB.

AP is an awesome player, but don't be hating on a future HOF who has played consistently great football in all aspects for 7 years just because AP looks more flashy.

your homeboy got 3 yards on 14 carries against a crappy niner team. I don't need to be trippin' your homeboy, the niners did it for me. As Chester Taylor proved in that game, despite AP's great talent, he does run behind one of the best offensive lines in the league.

chester taloyr woo only have had 17 yards if not 4 the 84 yard td run and either way the vikes still won w/a passin game cause the only way the niners could stop ap was cause every time he was on the field they would send 8 to 10 guys on a blitz

it's funny becuase the guy that's on adrian petersons dick called him AP which proves he doesn't really know him becuase in college his nickname was AD. anyways, AD hasn't played long enough to be called the best in the league, he's just the best this year. remember that the chargers coaching staff was decimated this year which has really hurt the team and thus LT.

Few things lvlystical is right about is that you shouldn't judge somebody on a rookie year. He's great now but there are many players who looked like the best then got injured and lived an average career. I say he's somewhat right about his blocking and fumble. I just got done watching the Bears and Vikings game and Peterson fumbled twice and let two sack on the QB. Watching the replays the sacks shouldn't have happened, it's like he moved out of the way.

funny thing is peterson started like only 7 games and he missed 2 more games because of that knee injury yet he's still right up there with LT. he's gonna kill the broncos in week 17 and thats when he's gonna win the rushing title.

We'll see what happens with the Broncos. Props to AP, but he essentially had two outstanding games and that's what made his yardage total. Other than a crazy move on Kennedy against the Lions, he hasn't done anything remarkable since those two games. Yet people continue to jizz over him like they did Bush before he set foot on the field. And considering LT was like 200 yards behind AP and now looks like he might win the rushing title. Well, yeah.

He had two outstanding games. Tomlinson didn't even have one, so i don't know what you are talking about. Tomlinson is not playing any 9 men fronts. Nor does he have a QB who can't throw the ball. Since that Chargers game AD is seeing 9 men fronts on every down. Look at how much running room LT had tonight against the Broncos. Then look at how little running room AD had yesterday against the Redskins. The guy got hit as soon as the QB handed the ball over.

LT didn't have one? I don't know what you're talking about. LT has just had two games where he rushed for over 200 combined yards in the first half. LT has had people stack the box against him since last year and he still owns it up. AP is just starting to experience people stacking the box against him and since that great game he had against SD he has only had one 100 yard rushing game. Since then he's ypc average has been no higher than 3 yards.

Haha wow, they're both in the top 5 RB. Neither of them have good QB's and both can share the time with the back up RB's. LT can catch better and can even throw for some TD's while AD is the better pure runner. Both em' get the line stacked against them so it's all good and works out even. Oh yeah and for reggie bush to be a true Good RB he has to run between the tackles Efficently and effectively

Don't know about you, but I see the running style of Walter Payton, the speed of Gale Sayers and the power of Earl Campbell when I watch this guy. How long he can endure the NFL collision after collision remains to be seen, but I think he's incredible. And he has a good head and personality too. I wish him the best.

I was at the Viks/Chargers game today and the dome was juiced. This kid is wicked good!! 296yd rushing record on only his 8th NFL game!!-WOW-and to think that he did it with 8 in the box on almost EVERY carry cause the Vikes have NO pass threat...and against a very good San Diego defense. Not like when Jamal Lewis got his 295 against a pitiful Browns defense. Oh yea-AD is the first RB EVER to get 1K yards in his first 8 games. We are so lucky to have him.

not bad, but any running back could make most of those runs cause you could drive a truck through most of those holes. and a back that sized should be able to beat CBs one on one every time, its when he gets to the pro linebackers that will determine if hes "good" or not

take a look at the jets va vikes game, he didn't hit any hole, he steped around shaun ellis and did a sick spin move to avoid a tackle (from a pro LB) and accelerated around the corner and finally trucked a cb on theirs.

Yep, the spin move was on Jonathan Vilma, the 2004 Def.Rookie of the Year and a Pro Bowler in '05 (173 tackles). I think NYJ threw out a different defensive set this past season that cut back his tackles and cost him an '06 Pro Bowl spot...but the dude is still better than your average NFL LB.
