  • who eles got a durex ad :O

  • @Exoime IMO you should consider the i5 2500k instead of the i7 2600k. The real difference is only hypertreading and like you said, its a gaming rig. Hypertreading is unneccessary for just gaming, but is useful if you'r into hardcore video editing etc In fact, with an i7 2600k you would have to disable the hypertreading to overclock ( which im assuming you'll do as you'r a gamer ). So I would say you would find the i5 2500k a much better VALUE buy :)

  • my pc Socket is ( 775 LGA ) i want to know if i can put a more powerful processor ! i have Pentium Core2 Duo , if anybody have any idea please let me know !

  • @saknk1 Yes you can quad core it but you have to know whether your mother board uses 65nm or 45nm cpu's. Depending on what your using your pc for, you may find that changing your main hard drive to SSD would benefit you more in terms of speed.

  • @saknk1 yeah.If you dont want to upgrade to another mobo, the best cpu you can get for the 775 is the q6600.search on ebay to find one.If you got the money got upgrade to an intel i5 2500k and a 1155 LGA mobo. And some new ram.

  • I like your video's, they give me great info on all the things that there is to know about PC.

  • i haz a BSD voodoo 8 gpucpu

  • Can I make my build without a gpu with this cpu because I dont want to buy a card till the gtx 600 series to come out

  • @crazychainsaw007 You can do but your gonna have to use the intergrated motherboard graphics which suck :/

  • @RSTxProductions well im making my build in february and there supposed to come out in march so are they that bad i cant use them for a month

  • Wow someone just said crysis 2 and skyrim sucks ass I feel like kicking a little bitches ass right now and shoving the disc in his asshole

  • Even my notebook got more ram than you wannebe game systems.. 4GB is no ram to game with!!................ We are in 2011-2012 Things change retards.. 4-5 years ago 4GB was epic.. these days its minimum.... and i bet that all you 4GB bitches stil run 32BIT.. to bad 32BIT only juses 3GB of 4GB so fail on you

  • @MithrasNL fo shizzle!

  • @stick7913

    lol what :P

  • @MithrasNL You are sad sir, what kind games are you playing to even need 4GB RAM (especially DDR3) constantly PLUS a graphics card with RAM on it and I doubt your notebook has more RAM, even if it does, the CPU isn't unlocked so you can't OC it. You can get 32_x86 bit machines which can hold a lot more RAM

  • Comment removed

  • @Spork2spooN heard of battlefield 3? nned 4GB ram recomended and 1GB VRAM

  • @MithrasNL I have been reading your comments over the last 2-3 months and where the fuck did you learn about computers? 16GB is way too much RAM unless your multitasking 14 programs which take 1gb of RAM each. 8GB should be fine for gaming, and as a lot of other people have said, there isn't a game in the world which uses more than 4GB of RAM especially DDR3. And you say your planning for the future, well you've probably wasted your money 3GB of DDR4 will out preform your 16gb when it comes out

  • @RSTxProductions

    We got another jealous motherfucker!

If you people stil think 4GB is optimum for games....

    1:Start google...

    2:write Life

    3:press search

we dont live in the year 2007-2008 anymore.....

  • @RSTxProductions

And Owhhhyea... The time DDR4 ram is on the market it doenst even fit on our motherboards you smart ass... in the time DDR4 ram is on the market... i have already a new pc..

Second thing.. ram speed isnt that important... -_-

and i didnt spend my money for nothing... i only paid 50 dollars for 16GB 1333MHZ ram. .. i bet you people would pay more.. i just have my conections...

    Have a nice day.

  • @MithrasNL Dude 99% of games dont use more than 3gb of RAM, even the demanding ones like crysis 2, Skyrim etc. never go over 3gb usage, and RAM speed is important depending on which manufacturer you choose.DDR2 is 400 million transfers a second and DDR3 is 800 million a second. So 4gb of DDR2 would out preform 8gb DDR3. .looking at the price you paid for yours you probably got a Komputerbay or Kingston. The sweat shops of RAM.

And what does life have to do with gaming?

  • @RSTxProductions

Haha... Crysis2 is old... and skyrim sucks ass.....

La noire needs recomand 8GB of ram.. and the New GTA5 probably the same.. so there are games that need more.. so dont act if you know something dude...

    1: start google

    2: Write life

    3: press search

    have a nice day.

wen dont live in 2007-2008 anymore

  • @MithrasNL the reason why LA Noire needs 8gb to run is because its so badly coded for PC. Rockstar just made the game for Xbox then ported it to the pc so no wonder its so demanding, and they are probably gonna do the same with GTA 5. Skyrim Definately doesn't suck and so what if Cysis is old, its still quite demanding on your computer. i know we don't live in 2007-2008 and i definitely do have a life. Your just being an ignorant prick.

  • @RSTxProductions

    oke.

but the reason blablabla?? La noire stil needs 8GB of ram.. every rockstargame is badly coded.. that it's badly coded it's stil no reason to have poor ram.... every one knows that rockstargames can't program games for shit..

and dont call me a ignorant prick.. becouse you dont know me.

  • @MithrasNL You obviously don't know what ignorance is, its when a particular person has a lack of knowledge. And skyrim isn't single player anymore, theres a multiplayer mod thats currently in alpha. Please do the world a favour and before you start bragging about shit you don't know about, research it and actually know what it is.

  • @RSTxProductions

skyrim is noob just like you.... fits perfect.

  • @MithrasNL naah skyrim really isnt noob, and i think im better than you at computers ;)

    1. Google

    2. Search Computers

    3. Read everything you can find

Games dont use more than 4gb RAM

  • @RSTxProductions

Skyrim is noob like you... Fits perfect.. need to say it again?

    You+skyrim= 4GB ram = low

Shut up! just shut the fuck up xD.... i Realy dont care... xD i'm happy with my 16GB of ram.. so shut up xD PFFFFWHAAA!!....

  • @MithrasNL me+skyrim+4gb ram+i5+ati radeon hd 5850=skyrim 60fps noob. And if im noob then your the epic noob of PC's. and now you've run out of intelligent things to say saying that im a noob, skyrim is a noobish game, and just in general being a retard. so what if your happy with 16gb, you said that 4gb is absolutely nothing when you can run just about anything on 4gb of ram. Just proving you wrong. Now please go and educate yourself in computers. Thankyou.

  • @RSTxProductions

I'm run out of intelligent things xD... nice english haha.. and you run a HD 5850... Fail...

educate yourself with a girlfriend you fuckin virgin.. now shut the hell up..

  • @MithrasNL that is correct english. did you learn yours from a Somalian or something? and im not the one who needs educating, i dont need to shut up and there is nothing wrong with a 5850.

  • @RSTxProductions

I realy dont care.... what you have or what you think...... please understand that..

    I....DONT....CARE...WHAT...YOU.....THINK

Realy i dont..... xD in my opinion you could stick skyrim and your 4GB up your ass... i DONT CARE

    I DONT CARE :S

    Realy i dont...

  • @MithrasNL ...Rage...

  • @RSTxProductions

No i just dont care xD just think what you want... not my problem

    Easy.

  • @MithrasNL well if you dont care then why keep this debate alive?

  • @RSTxProductions

    Becouse you write back... Dha....

  • @MithrasNL just because i replied doesnt mean that you have to reply back, infact i'm gonna do that now. i'm just gonna stop talking to you. you obviously dont know what your talking about, your ignorant, and just a little kid. So good day.

  • @RSTxProductions

    Nice meeting you :p

  • @MithrasNL Nice to meet you to :3

  • @MithrasNL skyrim does sucks ass. its a fucking kids game *trollface*

  • @Phenom69ll

    yea only singleplayer .. haha

  • @MithrasNL I mean that you have a ton of DDR3 RAM that won't ever be put to use in "future games" because by the time games need need that much RAM, we'll be on a different type of RAM and you'll likely have upgraded by then.

And it's perfectly fine/"smart" to overclock your GPU, btw.

  • @Fortune2point0

    sure you just jealous

  • @MithrasNL Jealous of what? Your stupid choice? Lol

  • Bought new computer yesterday, I will get it tomorrow, Intel core i5 2500k 3.3Ghz, 8GB ram, Nvidia Geforce GTX 560Ti, 750 Watt power supply. Was is worth 1000€ ?

  • @TazY1337 Heeeeell no. I'm getting near exactly the same specs for £600.

  • @rhosygwalia how can you get it that cheap? The video card is already 150-200€.

  • @TazY1337 This guy is building it for me, a family friend.

  • ^^ only 4 Gb Ram , windows 7 64 bit needs 8 gb to run very fast ^^

  • hehe, you have a nice nerdy voice.. r u related to john carmack?

  • when buying new RAM its so cheap to go for a bit more, for examp. if you buy like 2x2GB you would only need 5% more money to get same type of RAM and capacity of 2x4GB

  • haha man just making you Crazy nice pc. xD

  • @MithrasNL Ive read more of your comments, please stop talking about computer hardware as if you are educated on the subject, everything you say sounds ignorant and uniformed. The biggest problem is that somebody may read your bs and take it as fact, thus perpetuating ignorance. Feel free to tell me im wrong like you have everyone else, You should get two 6990s, especially if you game on only only 1 monitor, I bet you have to look that up to know why its stupid.

  • Second..... I upgrade for the future old man :) in 5 years you nothing with you lazy 4GB ram.. and i dont need to upgrade becouse i have 12GB :)

Live more in the future not in the past

    PS: its 2011

  • ppl here think the more the ram they get.......the more it's better

  • whats are good video cards for the i5

  • Wahahha! only 4GB Ram with intel core i5 2500K LOL my pc with the same processor.. with 12GB ram xD

  • @MithrasNL Games don't use more than 4GB. I take it you do a lot of heavy video rendering?

  • @iJfry

Haha dont juse more than 4GB yes they do xD You run 64BIT with 4GB ram? with games ? lolz.. thats failed.. dont forget you run a windows version on your pc :P games only run smooth with 8GB Ram or more these days.

  • @MithrasNL You sorely misunderstand how RAM is used and mistaken it to relate to the integer of the architecture. Most modern video games up until BF3 do not use more than 4GB of RAM and anything further in the machine is quite literally unused and wasted. It is similar to using an 8-core processor with your everyday game; only 4 of the cores will be used.

  • @iJfry

i dont misunderstand mate :) I just upgrade my pc for future games :) and the difference between 16GB,8GB or 4GB on BF3 is a lot.. these times games just run better with 8GB+ and if you want to run games on 60FPS with no FPS drops and max graphics settings 16GB of ram is one of the things you need.

you are happy with 4gb in 2-3 years 4gb is rated on the minimum so you need to upgrade however.. xD

with 16GB of ram i dont need to upgrade a long time.. so thats cool for me.

  • @MithrasNL By the time games come out that require 16GB of RAM, we'll be on DDR4 at least.

  • Comment removed

  • @MithrasNL just no... please learn more about ram. BF3 will NEVER come close to using 16 gb of ram no matter what the settings are. As a matter of fact 90% of games out now will run maxed on 4 gb of ram. The only reason a GAMING machine would need 16 gb of ram is to win a pissing contest, there are other applications where 16 gb is needed but not for games dude, its as dumb as using a 980x in a gaming machine, all E-peen man.

  • @MithrasNL why do you need 12GB of ram?

  • @Drealmers

all noobs say that.. like you dont need it blablabla.. in 5 years you do.. and for now it works Perfect on games.. 12GB is epic for games these days!:) its like you in in the year 2000 with 1GB Ram;)

  • @Drealmers

all noobs say that.. like you dont need it blablabla.. in 5 years you do.. and for now it works Perfect on games.. 12GB is epic for games these days!:) its like you in in the year 2000 with 1GB Ram;)

  • @MithrasNL You wont use atleast 50% of your RAM so dont be a happy dickface...

And another thing in 5 years there will be a new DDR type so congratz.

  • @youriskor

All 12 Years old kids say that :)

Difference between 4GB and 12GB is alot... i know it becouse i had 4GB my self :) and upgraded to 12GB in my next pc :) its alot better peformance so cut the crap with the 12 Years old 50% Lower blabla isseus... :) its bullshit :) We live in 2011 not 11 years in the past..

  • Hi, I will most likely buy the 2500K for my next computer in a few of weeks, is there any other motherboard (maximum 180 dollar) that you would recommend today, I may be overclocking a bit like you did in another video.

  • why you use 1600mhz memory? the cpu just suport up to 1333mhz !

  • I'd like to know what cursor pack you're using.....

  • i am going to build a pc for the first time, is my setup good, before i order it? SPECS: NZXT Lexa S --- MSI P67A-C45 (B3) mobo --- Intel Core i5 2500K / 3.3 GHz ---- Sapphire RADEON HD 6950 1 GB ---- Corsair Vengeance 8 GB ---- Antec KüHLER H2O 620 ---- Cooler Master GX 650 watt --- Seagate Barracuda 1 TB 7200 rpm. I REALLY WANT TO KNOW, PLEASE ANWSER.

  • @QuickXXStepXXdamian i just bought one like three days ago i would go with the i7 2600k cup. its reasonably priced and from what i heard it runs very well. i would get a power source around 700 though. i prefer that in case you add an extra video card or more hard drives, fans ect. and what i went with was a 1.5 tb hard drive and a 40 gb SSD. i got the SSD so i could put my operating system on it and all my important stuff. your video card is better than the one that i got.

  • @CaptainSherman thanks for the reply so fast. i will put some more money into it, but i don't want it to expensive, i'm not a hardcore gamer. I just want to play some good games in good quality and doing all sorts of stuff. THanx again.

  • @QuickXXStepXXdamian no problem. my computer cost 1,800 and im more into video editing than games. but the better cpu helps a bunch. i would suggest looking online for promo codes to get discounts "REPEAT" is 5% off. saved me like 100. and i didnt get a monitor from the. i went through newegg and igot a bigger one for a cheaper price.

  • Is there a big difference between the i5 2500 and the i5 2500K? thank you

  • @patka1982 k stands for unlocked go with the 2500k it is amazing :D

  • @patka1982 the "K" means its unlocked and you can overclock it and stuff.

  • Do you think there is a little difference in terms of graphics quality in gaming between an amd athlon 64 X2 6400+ and the i5 2500K because one using dual core and the other using quad core CPU?

  • Is cyberpower good? Because all i have been reading bad reviews and i dont want to waste 1k on a pc that doesnt work. Plz reply with your experience. Thx

  • I need a mobo that is compatible with this CPU.. I got a budget for the motherboard around 100-160

  • @zachyboy13528 just get one with Z68 chipset and will be fine

  • @n3v4k lol funny that you say that cuz i ended up ordering the z68 :P

    but thanks for the response!

  • guys what should i build this rig :

AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Processor, Black Edition.

    GIGABYTE AMD 990FX + SB950 AM3+ SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard GA-990FXA-UD5.

    Corsair Vengeance 8 GB ( 2 x 4 GB ) DDR3 1600 MHz

    --------------------

    or this rig :

Intel Core i5-2500 Processor 3.3GHz 6 MB Cache Socket LGA1155.

    GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD4-B3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard. .

    Corsair Vengeance 8 GB ( 2 x 4 GB ) DDR3 1600 MHz

  • @DeadManM69 go 4 the i5!

I have a 1055t at 3.7 ghz and i have about 25-40 fps in crysis (1080p 8xaa) however, when i tried putting my graphics card (5970) in my friends computer (with the 2500k at 4 ghz) and i got a 70-100 fps so the difference is tremendous! Crysis might not be the best example but it was the only thing i tested. hope this helps :)

(also guys if any one else has the same processor can you please tell me if you have more fps because the difference looks a bit too big to me xD)

  • @krullet111 Thank you

  • Can you put an ATi hd 6950(the one that have pipes) 2 gigabytes on Intel DP67BG Extreme Motherboard?

  • Sould I get i5 2500k 4.7ghz OR i7 2600k?

    i7 is £77 more than i5, it's for a gaming PC.

  • @HU55UN1 i5 ofc little fps diffrence for i7

  • CPU: i5 2500k 3.3GHz

    Ram: 8gb kingston ddr3

Grafics card: Asus geforce GTX 1 gb physx cuda..

I dont know a thing about pc but i want one... How with this machine work ?

  • @brann133 you didn't finish the name of the graphics card, give the numbers after the "GTX"

  • @GmGzY GTX 560Ti. Sorry about that..

  • Motherboard-asrock fatality

CPU- Intel Core i5 2500K Unlocked 3.3GHz (Quad Core)

    Ram- 8gb kingston ddr3

    Videocard- sapphire 6870

    is this good?

  • @tomanatorness Yes it is....this system can run any game on maxed setting :D

  • So What Is Better ? INTEL Core i7-2600K (Sandy) 4x 3,4 GHz or INTEL Core i7-960 4x 3,2 GHz

  • @starscream2092 From what i know the 2600K K is For Overclocking Wich is good if ur a gamer .

  • @AppleFunKid well if ur buying a gaming pc ur a gamer lol

  • @ryfalraptor10 wrong. If you play games u are a gamer. U can buy a gaming pc and never play games on it(its possible lol)

  • @starscream2092 an i5 2500k would be better than a i7-960

  • Cyberpower PC... Aren't they notorious for putting cheap components in your pc? Oh right, people who buy custom built machines wouldn't even know...

  • SpadeAce90, a stupid question indeed

  • aaa dude...does that 3000 something GPU's power combines with the GPU we buy and fit in the pc? i mean will they both work together? thanks

  • @deadsumoner only work together if you have z68 chipset. p67 chipset will have it run on discrete gpu only. and h67 will not be able to OC.

  • @gabrocki if you get a good system to start, you won't need to overclock, at least for a while. @josneak28 EVGA

  • should i get EVGA gtx 570 or MSI gtx570?

  • @josneak28 EVGA

  • ASUS P8H67-M REV 3.0 with EFI BIOS, but no support for overclocking and an i5 2500 (non K version), with WINDOWS 8 support; OR an ECS P67H2-A3 without EFI but the support for an overclockable i5 2500K.... i know the ECS is a noname brand but i dont give a shit.

I just want to know if the overclocking is important for gaming... id use my PC for gaming only, do i need OCing? would it improve my fps a LOT? or is it just useless, and "hey gab, go for the ASUS. it'll support Win8, u dont need OCing"

  • hay do you have a minecraft account called wizkid902, if you do i am magicpie234

  • do you really need overclocking to run games at max?

  • @iiH3R3T1C no u dont need to OC to run games at max u need a good gpu and a proccesor that doesnt hold the gpu back

  • i just build my 2500k system and its double or more in every way my POS phenom II 940.

  • @dx11101 Awesome I am putting my 2500k together tomorrow also replacing a phenom, cant wait = )

  • I dont understand why people think so much ram is important on a gaming computer, 4GB of ram is PLENTY... seriously most games take about 2gb, some maybe 3gb

  • @Taypion yea, but some games need more than 4gb, just sayin.

  • @KeekazMedia find me one game than needs more than 4gb and i will eat my shoe

  • @Taypion APB. now tell me how the shoe tasted :P

  • @KeekazMedia i said more than 4 lol, so that mean 5 or more and that game only requires 3 anyways. lol, i have 8GB of ram btw lol xD so yea.

  • @Taypion and how often are the system requirements true... yea, i had 4gb of ram in my old pc, and the game didnt work so good, now i have 8gb and it works like a charm...xD so yea

  • Just ordered a computer...

    i5 2500k

    Asus p67 pro motherboard

    Noctua d14 cooler

    Corsair vengeance 8 gb 1600mhz

    Corsair 850 gold

    Western digital black 1 tb

    Asus gtx 580

Is this good enough to play high end games?

  • @masichunter7 you know what kind of answer will it be....

  • @masichunter7 it will be enough for the next 5 years lol

  • Subscribed!

  • VERY NICE

  • Hi there. I just built my dream gaming PC

EVGA gtx 580 superclocked version(looking to overclock quite a bit)

core i5 2500k 3.3ghz (looking to OC at 4.5 ghz)

    12gb 1600 gaming ram

    850 watt azza power supply

    p67h2-a2 ECS black deluxe motherboard

Also looking to geta great heatsink. Would you reccomend a bigger power supply other than a 850watt? would i rly need to go higher?

  • What is the most quiet cpu cooler preferably with a blue LED that could cool a i5 2500k overclocked to 4.3ghz?

Also how well will this system work?

    cm690 II advanced

    xfx 850w psu

2 hd6950 twin frozr IIIs in crossfire

    2 caviar black 1tbs in raid 0

    8gb (4x2gb) 1600mhz cl7 ripjaw ram

    p8p67 evo motherboard

    i5 2500k

    Will this be ok?

  • geek

  • What's a good cooler for getting it to at least 4.5ghz

  • can i play black ops on intel core i5?

    Ram;4.00GM

    CPU:2.27GHz M430

    plzz reply

  • @BARDYAEMO021 Black Ops is not a power demanding game. Your computer will able to play it very well.

  • @metalpounder but when i play it lagging to fucking bad idk why

  • @BARDYAEMO021 Then i think you have a bad graphic card :( Is it a HP laptop or a DELL?

  • @metalpounder sony vaio with windows 7

  • @BARDYAEMO021 NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 330M? Graphic card?

  • Comment removed

  • @metalpounder I play on a qutie powerful computer.. I got 6870 1gb in crossfire and a old Intel Q9400(Oced to 3,8 GHz) 8Gb ram. I can play all games with maxed graphics. But you got a laptop, and laptop arent ment to play the most demanding games. They arent powerful enough. But some high end gaming laptops can handle some games like Crysis. But your laptops grahpic card is not powerful enough to handle games. But try to update your driver and se it that helps.

  • can i play black ops on intel core i5?

    Ram;4.00GM

    CPU:2.27GHz M430

    plzz replay

  • @BARDYAEMO021 yes..

  • @Gorbulas13 ??

  • @BARDYAEMO021 You asked if you could play that piece of crap game on your pc. You can.

  • can i use the cooler that come up with the i5 2500k when you bought it?

  • why on the website on the memory specification, max memory frequency is 1333 when all video on yt with this cpu use ram with 1600mhz?

  • are they allowed to put on a corsair H50 and say its totally theirs??

becouse com on... everyone can see that that is a H50...

  • @gijsjeradijsje10 If you would do your research, you'd see that nothing says that can't use the Corsair H50 even though there not, is an Asetek 620 CPU Liquid Cooling.

  • @gijsjeradijsje10 asetek 620 dude, corsair just rebranded it ;)

  • getting this

  • I'm sold on the new I7 series. i had an I7-870 on a Gigabyte UD6 1156 board and it shit itself slowly.

    Replaced with an Asus P8P67 Deluxe B3 / I7 2600K and some 2133 Ripjaws

and it rocks more, out of the box with a Noctua NH-D14 it bumped upto 4.5ghz without missing a beat and sits at 60Degrees C under load at the highest.

    Couldn't be happier

  • lol though my i7-860 running at 3.4ghz gets a higher score then that.

  • @Spamazoid but that is overclocked normally this is better

  • @ZeroInhibition no it's not. mine was stock speeds with no turbo turned on

anyway it doesn't matter i have an i7-2600K now with an Asus P8P67 Deluxe and it rocks

  • the chips may have the graphics but the P67 boards don't support onboard graphics, you need the H67 boards for that and Z68 when they come out

The non K's don't overclock beyond turbo mode wherea's the K's can overclock to extreme speeds

  • can somebody tell me if there is something wrong with my core i5 2500k default core speed ??? I ran the CPU-Z software and it says that my default Core Speed is @ 1605.x Mhz, and the multiplier is x 16.0.....shouldnt this be around the 3400 Mhz with a 34.0 multiplier ??? I havent messed with overclocking btw or anything like that...

  • @Mirmidon87 The processors slow themselves down when you're not really doing anything. Put it under full load, it should be going up in speed.
