i like the sound, but Charlie's voice just doens't do it for me. don't get me wrong, he's a great singer, but his voice just doesn't really fit. but still, props to his ability.
I hate saying this, but I think DT suffered the same problem that seems to plague many other great prog bands (like Genesis, Yes, Rush...) which is that their first album isn't really good. Don't get me wrong, Dream and Day is a decent album with some enjoyable moments, but it just pales in comparison to what they would do later. It was a learning period for the young band, and DT proved to be quick learners, releasing their two best albums (Images & Words and Awake) immediately afterwards.
@skincauldron yes which is also a good representation of progressive music in general outside the progression of musicality in the song of course, the band progresses as a whole and learns and changes with the times, unlike most music today as the million one hit wonders out there now that last a few years then die off its hard to be a band that sticks around and has their name continuously in the conversation these days
@skincauldron - I disagree and you are totally wrong. If you thumb him, you know nothing about DT and what the first album means for the original Majesty fans.
First time I hear this album of DT. Sounds like a more progressive Malmsteen. Very cool!

My favorite vocalists:
1. Geddy Lee
2. Charlie Dominici
3. Russel Allen
I always think Dominici sounds like a mix of Billy Joel and Geddy Lee
