  • jack cristil

    classic commentary

im glad i got to hear him call the game

  • don jacobs is my pe coach now

  • @2twadswortrh Jacobs was a pathetic qb in college. UAT would have been undefeated if they had only played someone else at qb. Just terrible!

  • @greymoose1000 that pathetic piece of crap is my gym coach now haha he walks funny and has a since of shame to him suprised? I think not. To everyones dismay he is a great coach.

  • Sources say Jack Cristil is retiring after these last few basketball games. Sad.

  • i heard that don jacobs threw the game.he had money on it.

  • Remember it well, RIP Coach

  • RIP Coach Bellard.

  • haha. My friend's dad is number 72 for state

  • That's awful.. Take this video down!

  • Hey John Bond: What is the latest with Cam Newton?

  • HAHA! Don Jacobs is my football and pe coach now.. that sucks..

  • It is going to be a hard fought game this week two with Mississippi State winning by 3!!

  • I was at this Game.. Only time I saw Bear Bryant in person.

  • How did Bear Bryant die in 1983 and yet Jack Cristill is still doing football games in Starkville? He must be about 130.

  • @DNSKansas shit if I know. he was supposed to be retiring after last year, but he's *still* there. It'll be a sad day when Jack does leave. Hail State!

  • Hey the WWF announcers did this game

  • @MrRondonmon who cares? It would've been 6 to 5 with no time left?

  • I remember this game well. Alabama had been ranked #1 for seven weeks of the 1980 season. This loss ended Alabama's 28 game winning streak. It was quite stunning. We went on to finish the season 10-2 with a Cotton Bowl win and ranked #6 in the nation, yet we felt the season was a failure...kind of the way we Bama fans feel today with Saban when we lose (pretty rare as with Bryant).

MSU finished 9-3. I guess this was their program's greatest victory. Kind of sad for MSU when you think about it.

  • @tolivr How is that said you cant do better than beating a #1 team

  • fact is they used to penalize for excesive crowd noise. what a drive by a wishbone team if they pass it on 3 yard line i think they win, and the last play what a choke job msu fumbles lol i think they recoverd in endzone but it should have been a safty.

  • wow! state nearly fumbled the ball back to bamaat the end of the game lol that wouldve been a major fail

  • This loss also opened the door for Georgia to win the SEC & NC because they didn't play Bama that year.

  • Poor MSU. The greatest moment in their sad history.

  • Haha Jack taking a stab at the bear. I love it

  • well, crap....2 bad bama didnt win....still, ROLL TIDE ROLL BABY!!!

  • LOL I guess everybody knew Bear was a cheater. This was the first time I ever saw Alabama lose a game. I was 7 years old and was sooo excited!

  • What the hell? If the quarterback couldn't hear they forgave delay of game? What's the point of home field advantage?!?!?!

  • Bryant gradually decreased his recruiting efforts around the 78 season as his health was seriously deteriorating. That finally caught up with the program on this day and from then forward. I can't believe people couldn't tell he was sick. For crying out loud, he retired practically a month before he died.

  • it was one of his last couple of years

  • was that when bear bryant coached

  • Yeah Bear coached Bama until 1983 if I remember correctly...

  • 1982 was his last season

  • Bama was defending national champs. 28 game winning streak. The man that invented the wishbone was our head coach. The rest is history. Bama hasn't been the same since.

  • I wouldn't go that far.. Bama had some great teams in the 80s and Stallings' teams in the 90s.

  • saban brought us back. still #1 baby

  • Wanna go back on that #1 statement now? Muwahahahahha

  • got dat rite. roll tide roll. i went to 2 games last year. kentucky (17-14) and miss. state (ironic) i 4got dat score...like 28 2 sumtin...

  • Yes. Bryant retired after the 1982 season and died in January 1983.

  • Historic is right. THE biggest win in MSU history...
