One word for Babar and Celeste: Idiots. Reminds me alot of when my friend had her twins and her older daughter got ignored almost entirely. Sure it wasn't like this but it's bad when you come over and you find a find a 6-year old crying in the corner just because spilled the baby formula. Finally Grandma and I teamed up. We took care of the twins and kicked parents and daughter out of the house so they could bond. I was ready to turn the hose on them if they tried to come back befor dark.

I completely forgot about this. When I was looking up kid shows I grew up with I just saw "Babar" in related videos and it came back to me.

I remember briefly watching this exact episode years ago on an old VHS tape recorded from the early 1990's, the last thing on my mind then was watching it again on the internet and now I have. GEEZ... You Tube is good, ever since I searched kids shows I grew up with I now know what experiencing nostalgia feels like.

I agree. The parents sure didn't do a good job of reassuring their kids that the new baby didn't mean they weren't loved. Does it really take 2 parents to quiet a crying baby? Coming from a mom of 2 is all.......

Indeed! Babar and Celeste could so easily have taken turns between caring about the three older children and caring about Isabelle. And considering how they were king and queen, who easily could have staff to help out (like when Cornelius played with Isabelle), it's even more inexcusable. But at least, the episode ended with them finally finding a moment, that all six of them could share.
