That Orange guy devoted himself to Lelouch and i know he would approve of Suzaku killing him.

Notice he says that Suzaku will "be the defender of justice and wear a mask forever [...] You will sacrifice all of your happiness for the world... eternally..." So, if he ever had a code, then this implies he gave it to Suzaku.
Not to mention, him surviving would defeat the whole point of Zero Requiem, and, to paraphrase him, "The only ones who should kill are those who are prepared to die". It would go against all the character development in the series
By ordered, maybe geass'd. Anything else would risk betraying the masquerade he was pulling off. Then again, Suzaku can break steel with his kicks, so who knows. :P

Also Bandai is making Code Geass R3 so we will all be happy again :) but it takes place in 2017. And if you check the site for code geass you will find it, but spolier.... At the end of this episode C.C is riding in a cart and guess who the driver is.... Lelouch. They show a clip of him smiling and he's immortal.
This my theory. Lelouch tooks the code of Charles and become inmortal like C.C. After that he make a pact with Susaku. Now, in this video Susaku kills Lelouch and, in consequence, obtain lelouch's code, That's why lelocuh says: "You will be the defender of justice and wear a mask FOREVER... you will sacrifice all of your own happiness for the world... ETERNALLY". Plus, that's why Nunally receive visions of lelouch when she touch him.
Lelouche didn't truly die he's immortal. He took Charles' code when he killed him. In order for the contract to be completed and him to become immortal, someone had to "kill" him. So yea the world is a better place and lelouche isn't dead.

found this anime abit confusing, (apperantly slow when it comes to all that politic talk) and i found it also abit frustrating not knowing if lelouch was a good guy or not, but this animes end was sad and beautiful so i give it a thumbs up for that.

Kallen discovered what Lelouch and Suzaku's plan was right then and there, which is of course the "Zero Requiem."
At that last moment she found out that Lelouch was about to kill himself for the sake of the world. That's why she's the main speaker in the aftermath.
During the series, he always talked about how one's own life isn't a reasonable price for ANYTHING. And yet, here he is "dying" for his cause. To actually die pulling off this worldwide stunt would be betraying his principles.

The first time I saw this, I think I realised a second before Orange let Zero pass. I knew Lelouch had to be planning something but it didn't occur to me until then that he would plan his own death. I thought he wouldn't want to cause Nunnally the pain.

I think another reason why Lelouch died (or why Sunrise made him die) is because quite a few girls in the series (Milly, Kaguya, C.C. and Kallen...) have a crush on him. So it's like "If I can't have him, no one can!" sort of thing. :P Wow, that's the stupidest theory I've ever given.
@Bwaaderent Seeing those two crying, makes me cry. But you know that Lelouch set it all up so that he would be the center of hatred...And Zero would be a hero. He used Suzaku because he trusted him, despite it all, and he knew that he would do the job well...And protect Nunnally. And Suzaku had been proclaimed dead already...So no one [except for those who were in on it], would know who was behind the mask.
In terms of a new season, it will probably be a different storyline (most likely in C.C's past or a few years after Lelouch's death). I suscribe to the belief that he is dead, since there is no better way for him to go out.
In any case, that is my opinion about Lelouch and the second season ending. All the posts I've done are in my own opinion. Read this first, then start from the first one I posted. Sorry to take some time with it, I should just blog it, but oh well. thanks for your time.
In terms of secrecy, the Zero Requiem is a secret that should be taken to the grave. Those who understood Lelouch's actions would realize that such secrets should not be revealed if peace is to be maintained. This can apply to real world situations too, not saying that there are in our world, but whatever.
(Cont.) Lelouch took whatever came, regretted what he lost, brought punishment to those who deserved it, and stood up to death with a smile, knowing that the evil he created and accumulated would soon disappear, freeing everyone from further hatred of others and thrusting the world into peace. Of course, there will always be evil in the world, you can't destroy it all, but that was an inevitable thing that lelouch probably calculated.
In terms of comparison to Light Yagami, Lelouch is better. Both acted towards a peaceful world, however that is the only good comparison. Light was narcissitic and derived pleasure from knowing that he could easily kill anyone who posed even the most little of threats. He proclaimed himself a god, which is a big mistake and bitched when he was on the verge of death. Lelouch knew that he was rotten, sought to change the world by any means, and did not truly seek forgiveness for his actions.
In terms of reason, Lelouch at first did everything for Nunnally. However, by the second season's middle, he came to the realization that having only Nunnally as the reason would bring him to ruin like in Season 1. Also, doing it for the world itself and everyone in it would attract a lot more followers/support.
Watched this vid many times now...Kinda wanted to clear things up. My opinion is my own, but here:
In terms of immortality, Lelouch received none, and seems like it is only received through the contract maker and client (lelouch and C.C. for ex.), but seemingly can be taken by another immortal (C.C. and Charles in one episode) and not between geass wielders and different contractors (Lelouch and Charles).
what made me cry is the thought that Lelouch is just a high school student... a kid.. who was suppose to be doing his home work and hanging out with friends.. instead he ended a war with he's life.. At the end people kept screaming the name ZERO not knowing that the zero who changed the world is lelouch who they hated so much...
yeah.. i don't usually cry on this things... but the story, lelouch's plan "ZERO REQUIEM" were just.. epic.. never heard or read a story like these before..

I don't mean to wreck this sad yet beautiful ending to this EPIC anime but I don't get the ending. How did Nunnally see into Lelouch's memories? Who is C.C. talking to at the end on the Carriage? How can the loyal Jeremiah stand aside and watch his master take a sword to the gut? Now that Lelouch is dead and he owned the world, does that mean Zero owns the world now? AGH! The first time I saw this, I think I realised a second before Orange let Zero pass. I knew Lelouch had to be planning something but it didn't occur to me until then that he would plan his own death. I thought he wouldn't want to cause Nunnally the pain.

Usually when you take a code from a immortal you lose your geass but since his dad is not the giver of his code therefore Lelouch now posesses both a code and a geass. ^^ Proof that Lelouch is alive, immortals have the ability to show other people their memories, that happeded when Nunally touched Lelouch's hand and she saw everyhing he has done and realized that Lelouch is not evil. I love how their plan to please the masses is so similar to the Rossiu's plan from season 2 of TTGL. Both were equally simplistic, but atleast Rossiu get's a good punch in the face for coming up with it.
Yet for some reason more people like Lelouch.

I think another reason why Lelouch died (or why Sunrise made him die) is because quite a few girls in the series (Milly, Kaguya, C.C. and Kallen...) have a crush on him. So it's like "If I can't have him, no one can!" sort of thing. :P Wow, that's the stupidest theory I've ever given.

He used Suzaku because he trusted him, despite it all, and he knew that he would do the job well...And protect Nunnally. And Suzaku had been proclaimed dead already...So no one [except for those who were in on it], would know who was behind the mask.

In terms of a new season, it will probably be a different storyline (most likely in C.C's past or a few years after Lelouch's death). I suscribe to the belief that he is dead, since there is no better way for him to go out.
In any case, that is my opinion about Lelouch and the second season ending. All the posts I've done are in my own opinion. Read this first, then start from the first one I posted. Sorry to take some time with it, I should just blog it, but oh well. thanks for your time.

In terms of secrecy, the Zero Requiem is a secret that should be taken to the grave. Those who understood Lelouch's actions would realize that such secrets should not be revealed if peace is to be maintained. This can apply to real world situations too, not saying that there are in our world, but whatever.

Lelouch took whatever came, regretted what he lost, brought punishment to those who deserved it, and stood up to death with a smile, knowing that the evil he created and accumulated would soon disappear, freeing everyone from further hatred of others and thrusting the world into peace. Of course, there will always be evil in the world, you can't destroy it all, but that was an inevitable thing that lelouch probably calculated.

In terms of comparison to Light Yagami, Lelouch is better. Both acted towards a peaceful world, however that is the only good comparison. Light was narcissitic and derived pleasure from knowing that he could easily kill anyone who posed even the most little of threats. He proclaimed himself a god, which is a big mistake and bitched when he was on the verge of death. Lelouch knew that he was rotten, sought to change the world by any means, and did not truly seek forgiveness for his actions.

In terms of reason, Lelouch at first did everything for Nunnally. However, by the second season's middle, he came to the realization that having only Nunnally as the reason would bring him to ruin like in Season 1. Also, doing it for the world itself and everyone in it would attract a lot more followers/support.

Watched this vid many times now...Kinda wanted to clear things up. My opinion is my own, but here:
In terms of immortality, Lelouch received none, and seems like it is only received through the contract maker and client (lelouch and C.C. for ex.), but seemingly can be taken by another immortal (C.C. and Charles in one episode) and not between geass wielders and different contractors (Lelouch and Charles).
