The sad thing about this man is that the vast majority of the 12 million members of the afl-cio and the 2.2 million members from Working America that he represents will never even get close to making 300k a year. He isnt fighting for the american worker he isnt even fight for the workers in the unions hes fight for his 300k, if his pay was cut to around 75-100k i guarntee he would no longer give a flying fuck about union workers
Trumka is lieng hardcore, i just cant figure out why he wants EFCA so much that he is willing to lie about it. WHere i work its common knowledge that the highest paid workers with the best benefits are the ones who are not in the union. so its not bc workers will get paid more and get better benefits. Im sure it has nothing to do with his 300k salary that is paid for by ever shrinking membership dues. I bet he just gets off to conning the working man out of hard earned money
I'm a Republican going to school and majoring in Labor Relations. Thank GOD liberal academia is used to promote unionism. As a manager, working in the white collar sector, I'll be in a much better position to help business do what it is supposed to do, make money. Someone important once said, "America is in the business of doing business". We don't need unions to muck it up and already have lost enough jobs to foreign competition as it is.
If employees collectively bargain wages that are too high (ala GM), then jobs get shipped to lower cost geography's. Sure some on top are overly compensated, but they will always find a way to get paid. Also, our consumer economy is what got us into this mess, we need to move away from it, not keep it going.
If he has all the answers on how to run a business, then why doesn't he start a union shop that has even the CEO in the union. Let's see how long they stay in business.
Grow the unions, for union take over. The reason we are broke in a big part is unions. Just look at him answer, hhe laughing cause he knows that Obama is pushing it through.

Rich Trumpka was busting his hump in the Coal mines of western Pennslyvania, when you were milking your sick grannies savings account.
1) He's fighting the right wing, pyramid scheme socialist on wall street for WORKING PEOPLE.
2) By definition "WORKING PEOPLE" meaning; laborers, manufacturing workers, skilled trade workers, government workers including; Police officers, Fire fighters, teachers, nurses, doctors, lawyers, bus drivers, hotel/restaurant workers, painters, plumbers, electricians

I love how these union bosses are pretending to be on our side. Everyone knows that union bosses are the ones MOST benefited by this kind of crap.
