Second: He didn't die, he was sealed in the Four Sword. He breaks out again in Four Swords for GBA and Four Sword Adventure for Gamecube.

you can only get the light arrows before the 5dungeon...you go to cloud tops and in a room there must be a sick boy with a ghost around and you absorb the ghost with the gust jar and then you get the light arrows

Beating Vaati isn't even hard, if your stuck at this part you must really not understand it because Ezlo gives you hint, and you have to try every thing you have! Common sense. If you don't get it than go to Gamefaqs and go to boss faq, its not that hard. Jeezus.

It would seem to me that you kinda lucked out at the second half of the battle. From my experience, he usually performs 3 or 4 other attacks in between each eye beam. And congratulations on getting that damn angle right on all 4 eye beams. It usually took me a few tries to get all of them to go straight forward.
