  • when ever i put it together the tubes fall apart i f***ing hate this cage

  • Would this be good for mice too?

  • Asome

  • Thanks for the help!

  • @SyrianHamsterNetwork I had this cage for my dwarf hamsters, so yes it is a excellent cage. Just if you have dwarfs then get this one but if you have regular sized hamsters get a normal cage. The dwarf hamsters can squeeze through the bars of the regular cage. Wouldn't want that, now would we. ;)

  • Are the tubes good for the Russian hamsters ? Please answer !! :)

  • Hi =)

  • would you recommend this cage? because im trying to decide between this one and the petville roll-a-coaster :)

  • Hi I was wondering if you would reccomend this cage? Like is it s good cage? Do your hammys like it?

  • You put step 14 and 15 twice and skipped step 16

  • Awesome vid by the way you put step 15 twice.

  • @cupcake198919 your welcome!:) Another thing if you wanted a good cage you could look on ebay as they are pretty cheap. mini duna's for example (from the UK), a lot of ham experts like because it gives them a lot of running around room, easy to clean, pretty, and because it doesn't have bars there will be no bar chewing. Anyways Im sure whatever you decide will be great! :)

  • @cupcake198919 I wouldn't get this, everyone I know who has gotten this has had problems with it. Its pretty small first of all, the more space you can provide, the better. It is very expensive (for a hamster cage). The wheel is squeaky and has holes in it, know two people who's hamsters have broken their legs from getting stuck in the holes. It is pretty load too. Water bottle aalso has a tendency to leak and is a bit finicky. All in all would not recommend this cage. Just my opinion.

  • Please, I need help. Should I get a dwarf hamster or a gerbil?

  • umm i have 2 Russian dwarf hamsters did u lean the tubes back or are they up cause if they were up wouldn't they fall through cause iam thinking of getting that but the tubes are really big

  • Hey I want to get this cage for my dwarfs, their fancy Russians,do you think they would be able to fit in the tubes?and can I keep 2 in this cage or would it be to small?

  • @pacalilo66

Yeah once you get the cage you realize there are some downfalls to it. My dwarves fit in these small tubes but they couldn't get up the stairs to the food very easily so I glued popsicle sticks to them and it worked great! The water bottle is a pain in the but to fill and the wheel is HORRIBLE. One of my hamsters died from getting her foot stick in the opening, spun around and broke her back. Get the silent spinner to replace it! Overall it's a great cage!

    @goobygat123

    Definitely!

  • @sensationaddict69 thanks for letting me know about the hamster wheel....one of my hamsters couldnt move and died peacefuly but no one knows how it happend R.I.P. I will get the silent one saturday THANK YOU

  • @sensationaddict69 what kind of dwarf do you have? I'm scared the bigger ones (besides the robo) won't fit.

  • @sensationaddict69

couldnt you just use clear tape and put it on the opens

  • @sensationaddict69 wait how did you glued popsivle sticks?? my dfwarf hasmter cn't climb the tubes from another cage,... she falls

  • if i buy this will i be able to buy other habitrail habitats and add them to this ?

  • The design of this cage is SO COOL, but I had to leave the tubes out, my hamster did not fit into them. Also, the water bottle leaks too much. But the worst is the wheel, that has these holes where their little feet could get stuck. Tonight is her fisrt night in the cage and I'm worried. Last but not least, she can't reach the food bowl, and keeps falling from the staircase. Despite all that she loves her new cage. Hope to have helped anyone thinking about get one of these.

  • @pacalilo66 I've just got this cage and have just been to the shop with my eight year old to choose two Russian dwarf hamsters. They are two months old but they can barely get along the tubes as they are so narrow. Even when we laid the tubes flat, they could only just manage it. These hamsters are going to grow to be 12cm long, yet according to the habitrail website, this cage is OK for all dwarf species including Russian and Roborofski (not sure of spelling). I want my money back!

  • @donja95660

The blue ball is the water bottle!

    @sexielexie690

    Thanks!

    @CartoonsXanimals

    critter-cages

  • @sensationaddict69 ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i didnt know that

  • where do you get this from

  • That's a really nice set up you got going on there!

  • nice cage:) cute hammies

  • @tresbrie

Any of those rodents would be fine in this cage. Which attachment on the left are you asking about? I got the basic cage set from Petco and all the accessories from critter-cages but lots of websites and stores carry the dwarf ovo now. The wheel included is an okay wheel but it has this line down the center of it that little rodent feet can get stuck in and they can die from it. I would recommend getting the silent spinner and just using the stand that comes with it

  • ya they would be realy nice in there

  • ya they would be really nice in there

  • those are very nice cages for all dwarf hamsters but how do they find the water bottle

  • ok, so firstly, would 2 of mice/gerbils/russian dwarf hamsters/ robrovski be ok in here (I havent chosen which one yet :) )? also, what is that extra attachment on the left? is it a maze? where did you get all the cages and stuff? would it be better to get a different wheel to the one included? Thanks....

  • umm hey i have question again ummm like i dont realy want to spend that much on the hamster rii cause hell end up dieing in liek 3 years i was wondering if he needs a seperate placfe to do his bussinise or not cause im going to buy one you have and transporter and that s it is that ok?

  • mhmmm i have a question can dwarf hamsters climb in those tubes liek stright up or not?

  • No they do not fight and they are all russian dwarf hamsters

  • Do your hamsters fight? Are they all a different breeds?

  • @lemagicienne

Not at all! I had 2 hamsters in this cage at one time and they were both trying to run on the wheel and one of the hamsters foot got stuck in the openings and the other hamster spun her around and she broke her back and died. If you have only 1 hamster in the cage it should be fine. I've never heard of a hamster that lived in the cage alone dying from a wheel incident.

  • Hey! the wheel that appears in the video is safe? I"m talking about the openings in the middle. I"m thinking about buying one but yet i"m not sure : S

  • One question! your wheel is safe?? I'm taliking about the opening in the middle. I'm thinking in buying one like that but i have the doubt : S

  • @taco1359

Yes they do. It makes it easier for them to get up the tubes!

  • i have a question. do hamsters prefer it angled like that? pleez respond!!!

  • Welcome!

  • GREAT, GREAT. I'M NEEDED THAT. TY

  • does the hamster actually go in the litter den?

  • Yes but it's a tight fit

  • Can you Fit Crittertrail tubes on to this cage MSG back A.S.A.P

  • With all the add ons I had it was not tiny. It was 6 feet long and almost 2 feet tall. Look at my other videos of the cage when it was all finished.

  • This seems like a strange cage lol. 3 hammies in this tiny thing? U sure thats a god idea? ty

  • lol i fear, as a dummie, this still isn't an easy enough guide for me to follow ;D

i didnt even think about a sand bath!

  • Yes this cage would be good for Robos but you might have to put the tubes at an angle so they can get up them.

  • would this be a ok cage for 2 robrovski hamsters? im gonna add some more sttatchments also

  • Your welcome! It's a really great cage, my hamsters loved it!

  • Omg thank you soo much for putting this bid up I might get the same cage as you xD so very handy!!! Thx!!

  • @GoSkandarKeynes They roll in it, and the sand collects oils and derbies from their fur.

  • The blue ball is the water bottle

  • where do they get water?

  • Thank you!!

  • Very helpful video!

  • who has this cage that can give me a review... do you need to position the tubes differently so the hamsters can climb up them? please message me! will sub first 10 people to message me back!

    CookehsRuleD00d

  • It is chinchilla dust. The Kaytee brand and yes you can use it for hamsters. You can also use the Criiter Sand that you find in the hamster isle of the pet stores.

  • DionEProduction: Aw that stinks that your hamster can only go up half way. He/she will eventually get better at climbing the tubes and be able to go up all the way. It took my hamsters a little while to learn! That's a good idea to lay it flat since your hamster couldn't get up!

  • it took me a while to put this otgether but i made mine i lay my tube downs my hamster can only go up half way and far i felt bad for it :(

  • It just depends on how you design it. Dwarf hamsters have a really hard time getting up the regular habitrail tubes. If you have them at an angle or flat then yes.

  • Yes they can! I have had 2 Robos in this exact cage and the did fine with the tubes. At first it might take them a little while to get used to them but they will be climbing them in no time!

  • hi ccan roborovski hamsters climb up the tubes? :/

  • ok thanks

  • I might. When I do a huge cleaning I will do that.

  • i think u should do a video on actualy building it and not just a slideshow

  • I'm not a fan of the Crittertrail cages because they are very flimsy but the one I do like is the Crittertrail Discovery. If you have more than one hamster I would get the Discovery Deluxe. It's really big and is actually nicely designed.

I love the Habitrail cages and would highly suggest one of those. Other than that I would suggest a 20 gallon long tank, or any basic cage that has a plastic bottom and wire top just make sure the bar spacing is okay for hamsters!

  • i love my dwarf hamster and need a new cage. any ideas?

  • Thank you!

Right now I have 3 males, 5 females, 1 syrian, and 6 babies that are getting adopted this weekend!

  • your hamsters are really cute how many do you have?

  • One dwarf could live in that but it's better to get more than just the main unit and a den. The hamster will get really bored super fast.

Think about it...would you like to live in your room and bathroom your whole life? Or would you like to live in your whole house? The whole ovo suite is like our whole house. The main unit and den is like our room and bathroom. Always get the biggest cage possible.

  • if i just got the main unit thingie and added one den to it would it be enough for a dwarf hamster???plz help!!

  • habitrails get steamy lol and i hav 2 robos

  • I bought it at Petco and I bought the extra maze online !

  • wer did u bought ur habitrail, so nice...c;

  • wer did u bought ur habitrail ovo?

  • @tarekirby

Just the OVO Suite for dwarfs would be enough room for two Robos, but you could get the maze to add some more space for toys!

  • Could two robo dwarfs live freely in your cage setup with enough room to run and play for both?

I was thinking of getting one for a future pair =D

  • @AlexVeryCoolBabv

Robos shouldn't have a problem drinking from the water bottle

    @TheIvoryhorse

Awesome! You deff need to make a video of it when you get it!

  • I am soo excited I'm getting my hamster and the Habitrail dwarff hamster suite tuesday!!!

  • Do You Think Roboroviski Hamsters Can Drink From The Water Bottle?

  • That's awesome that you are getting it tomorrow! You deff have to make a video of it! Thanks for subbing, I will sub back!

  • Thanks So Much!! My Mom Bought The Habitrail Ovo Suite For Syrain Hamster But i Seen That There Was The Dwarf Hamster Version!! So Tomorrow I Will Be Getting It:) I WILL POST A VID WHEN IT IS DONE:D and if you can suscribe i suscribed:)

  • @AlexVeryCool777Babv

If you get the regular Habitrail OVO Suite you will have to at least slant the 2 long tubes so the Robos can get up them. My dwarfs had a really hard time getting up the regular suite even with the tubes slanted so it will probably have to be almost completely flat for Robos since they are so small.

  • i've been looking for the dwarf version:l cant find it anywhere. if i get regular sized for my 2 roboroviski hamsters it will have to be on ground level

  • @TheIvoryhorse

Yeah I got it at Petco! It was $60 but I found a website that sells it for $42 but it's probably not cheap to ship it

  • where did u get the dwarf habitrail i have been looking for one but cant seem to find it

  • haha yeah

  • wow

  • I have 5 male dwarfs, 4 female dwarfs, one female just had 11 babies and I have a Syrian hamster =)

  • How many hamster do u have?

  • thankss!

  • kk gr8 video!

  • nope it's the normal ovo maze. nothing on the cage is downsized except for the tubes. the pad, den, transport unit, and water bottle are all the normal sizes

  • is the blue bit on the side with toys the normal ovo maze? or is that downsized too?

  • i have no idea! lol. just look around because it might not be on the website or they might not know. that's what happened to me. and i've NEVER seen it on any websites. aw thanks so do i!

  • WOW, i hope they have it in canada, cuz i no think we have a petco here, we only have petsmart and pj's pets, and other single store pet stores, i hope i can find it (personally, i think dwarfs r cuter that normal ^.^)

  • that's really awesome. i'm glad i could help. it's a really great cage. i love it! have fun with your new pet! =)

  • yeah i didn't even know they made it until i saw it. i live in the US too and i got it at petco. it has small tubes tho. the habitrail mini ones so dwarf hamsters can get up them. hope that helps!

  • thanks soooooo much. im getting a hamster since my parents feel sorry for me since i haven't ever had a pet that wasn't aquatic. that helps sooo much

  • @sensationaddict69 you got yours at petco? If you did that is good news to me. Did it cost $50?

  • thankss!

oh it's green because it's this special habitrail ovo suite for dwarf hamsters. the tubes are the habitrail mini tubes. they're smaller so dwarfs can get up them.

  • i can't find that one. i have only found that in Euro's and i live in the us so what should i doooo???where did you buy it?

  • love the green how did you get it ? ( i could only find orange)

  • lol yeah! it's because it's this special dwarf hamster one with smaller tubes. i love habitrail ovo!

  • Green? thats awsome :D xx
