cause i study in vocal, so i got a book it is about singer's pronunciation, "a" is not this simple,right? when they put with "aim&ain" "am&an", it changed the pronunciation, right?can you talk about this more?? i'll be appreciate that =)

hello sir, i'm having difficulty pronouncing those vowels with accent signs in french vowels.

example: à, aî, ê, è, é

and all that from A to U

what are there differences and how they are being used...please?

i do hope you'll have a lesson emphasizing these vowels with accent signs.

Tu l'as dit toi-même. Certains commencent déjà à ressentir une certaine frustration au fur et à mesure que nous avançons dans les cours. J'aurais espéré avoir une solution magique pour eux, mais malheureusement on doit tous passer par là, je crois. :-)

lol "vous parlez très bien pour un américain"

Cette phrase m'a toujours posé problème car lourde de sous-entendus. Elle laisse entendre que, d'une manière générale, les Américains parlent français comme une vache espagnole. A telle enseigne que lorsqu'on en rencontre un qui en possède une certaine maîtrise, loin de lui adresser un compliment à la hauteur des efforts consentis pour en arriver là, on fait injure à son intelligence

en laissant entendre qu'on n'aurait jamais cru rencontrer un jour un américain capable de manier si bien la langue de Molière lol. "Tu parles bien pour un américain" sous-entend que ceux qu'on a pu rencontrer avant massacraient la langue. Peut-être que pour certains, être américain suppose une totale inaptitude à apprendre les langues étrangères, le français en particulier.

Effectivement, j'y vais de ma propre interprétation, laquelle est sujette à caution bien entendu mais il n'en demeure pas moins qu'on est bien nombreux à y voir une espèce d'arrogance déguisée en compliment.

C'est sans aucun doute dû aux stéréotypes aberrants dont nous faisons l'objet lol "des gens peu ouverts sur le monde extérieur qui se prennent pour le nombril du monde

I will admit I don't know much about French. I am just starting. However, I have noticed that the J and the G seem to be pronounced like SH. Am I mistaken or what is up with that? Like in the video here the word "lavage" the g made that sort of sound at least sounded like that to me.

J and G as in "lavaGe" should not sound like "SH" (CH in french) even though they sound alike. But this may happen in real conversations because of the speed of your speech. Try pronouncing "LavaGe" and "La vaCHe". the 1st one means "washing" and the other means "cow". To avoid confusion, both sounds should be different.

I really want to learn it and i have been listening to frenh songs by vanessa paradis to help with pronouncing words.
