  • I'm in the market for a folding Karambit and they seem to be either super cheap or super expensive. Are there any middle ground ones? Like $40 - $50 range?

  • @LWRCftw - I would only buy one with the Emerson Wave feature. This is a defensive knife, there is really no other possible use... how much is your life worth?

  • @FrenziedCalm DUDE that's expensive.... I think I'll just get a Mantis.

  • @FrenziedCalm not much if he spent all his money

  • @FrenziedCalm I know a knife dealer that can get me knifes for 45% off so would $110.00 be a good price for an Emerson Micro Commander? Thanks, Joshua

  • @gunlover900 - If he sells you Emersons at 45% off he's gonna expect some sexual favors or something too dude... just sayin.

  • @LWRCftw I dont know if you have bought your folding karambit yet, but im looking at the Fox karambit. Its folding, Italian made, and DOES have the Emerson wave feature. If you are like I was a week ago, and have never heard of Wave, it basically opens the knife on the draw, as it leaves your pocket. Anyways, the cheapest I was able to find the Fox karambit was on google shopping for $82 bucks.

  • @cyleleghorn246 oh, cool. I'll probably have to look into those.

  • @LWRCftw you probably have found something by now but check out Mantis Knives. Great quality knifes. they have a bunch of folding karambits with a very unique style

  • @fumbimo lol the ironic thing about that is I've gotten a couple of Mantis Karambits since that comment and I love them to pieces.

  • @LWRCftw haha cool. mantis makes quality products. no bull shit. no matter how cheap the price is. and you can tell by there warranty. what other company offers lifetime no questions asked warranty. they will fix it. if they cant its a new one to your door!

  • How are these to sharpen with the curved blade?

  • @Castleknight - I keep mine razor sharp. Its not used at all generally, since its a "defensive knife", so once sharp it stays sharp... but I do occasionally run the stones on it anyway. I see no issues sharpening curved blades, I prefer curved blades actually, like this and the Commander shapes. Those that use gizmos to sharpen their straight blades may feel differently of course.

  • uh oh, now you have me worried, i have the super coming and i am 5' 7" with medium hands

  • Love the vid Man. Where do you make your Emerson purchases? Direct from their website? Or a site like bladeHQ?

  • it is pronounced karambizzletits duh

  • IMO the regular sized one is perfect in every way, except that the finger hole is a little bit small.

  • would you say this is one of the best folder karambit's on the market quality wise? I'm looking for the best and willing to pay for the best. thanks

  • @MrCleanerNash - The Emerson Combat Karambit is my favorite knife I own, I carry it everyday. I will likely buy another one to have as a backup, just in case I lose/break this one. If you don't buy this knife, you are crazy. GET IT... NOW!

  • @frenziedcalm I LOVE THE SUPER KARAMBIT! My next emerson is the UBER Commander !!

  • I carry a 5.11 tarani master karambit lefty, belt line just behind my iPhone otterbox, as it doesn't have the wave feature I fixed it using the good ol zip tie method. Maybe someday I spend coin for Emerson!

  • Thanks for the video, it is appreciated. It would be very helpful to see them both in your hand to see how they fit.

  • I have a super karambit-----I am having a tough time deploying with my left hand

Is there a proper way to deploy-----I moved the clip to both sides-----I must be doing something really wrong.

Want to deploy using the wave---and not reposition my fingers.

    Thanks

    Timmberman

  • @timmberman1206 - setup the pocketclip for normal right handed tip up carry. Put the knife into your left front pocket (I shove mine as far to left as it will go). When you draw the knife, shove your left index finger into the "ring" curling it around. Line up your other 3 fingers pointing parallel to knife. Shove your thumb behind the knife inside your pocket. Rotate the knife a little counterclockwise to make sure the wave catches and pull it out! CLACK! SLASH!! BLOOD SPURTING EVERYWHERE

  • Super size me man!

  • Great video. I was torn between the two of them. Thanks for posting this.

  • awesome comaro frenzied. so the width of the handles are the same? is one thicker than the other?

  • @PavlovSandor - The thickness of both seems about the same. The G10 on the Combat may be minutely thinner than on the Super. The Super is wider across the width of the knife by a fraction at pretty much all spots. The Super is just built for a monster sized hand. The Combat feels much better in my mere human grasp.

  • Are you willing to sell the super by chance?

  • nice knife!!!

  • I've got the Super Stonewashed. It's lethal
