ITA with most of what U say. Travis' owner SHOULD have shown more remorse for her FRIEND and there WERE warning signs. I also agree that if your dog snaps at the child (tho it may not've bitten the child THEN), U need 2 give up the dog. The 1 point which I DISAGREE with is that I would NOT have any actual hatred towards Travis himself. I have more anger towards Sandra Hereld (Travis' owner). To me, NOBODY should be allowed to have a wild animal as a pet UNLESS they're properly TRAINED to take care of it.
I can't be mad at a chimpanze for being a chimpanze ,just like a lion is a lion. they have their character and nature. What I don't understand is people who are not careful with animals and treat them like children! It's sad for that woman really!
You have a good point. The OWNERS are at fault. Hell, in my opinion the owners should be beaten within an inch of their life by a chimpanzee. But I keep on thinking about the lady and how she is now. It may be irrational, but I hate that animal for what it did to her. It needs to be put down.

But put it this way, if you were kept prisoner all your life by someone who doesn't understand you, doesn't speak your language, forces you to conform to your way of life, you'd fight to get out, right? Would you hate someone for fighting their way out in a similar manner if, say, they were interred by the Khmer Rouge and didn't know what their fate might be?

There is no excuse for that, the victim said herself, " I was always afraid of that giant chimp". So why would the owner leave her alone with him? Its so sad for the women your right, but I do not feel bad for the chimp, i'm sorry. I would never EVER hurt an animal, but this one was wrong.
@amandalovesfriendsxo that is why the chimp had to be in the jungle not in people's home! What he did is horrible but natural in his nature and environnement as chimps are territorial especially males.

The chimp isn't to blame, he was a wild creature that should not have been someones pet. I blame the owner and the government for allowing people to have wild and exotic animals as pets. Have seen stories of people in the US and other countries with leopards living in their houses. Crazyness.
I can't believe that the doctors are saying she's not eligible for face transplant? What?! I have seen a couple of people getting face transplants but yet Charla's not eligible?Why?Sandra should be made to pay for the pain and suffering of Charla.Charla is suffering for life and Sandra gets a pat on the back.Thats not right!

Can you imagine being locked in a cage?
He should have been in the wild and also owning exotic animals should be banned (unless you are running a open range wildlife sanctuary).
