Tamarindo is boring as boring can be. Little there and no nightlife. A total waste of Costa Rica vacation if you get suckered into staying there or anywhere in the Guanacaste area. Boring as hell. Better surf sights and party scene further down the West central coast.

Tamarindo is AWESOME. Im from Costa Rica and i must say it is one of the best beaches i've ever been to. Sadly, you took this video in ''winter'' (i put the '' because there is no such thing as winter here in costa rica, just rainy season) that's why u see all the water on the street. I went this past january and it was AWESOME, blue sky all day long with absolutely NO rain :)

@ridingfever We were there in rainy season (June) and loved it! We just walked through the big puddles in town barefoot and it didn't bother us at all because it was warm. The days were mostly sunny and the storms were brief and refreshing. I love Costa Rica and will go back as soon as i can.

"Pulpa de tamarindo" and the singer is a cuban lady very famous among latins and her name was "Celia Cruz". She died about six years ago Costa Rica is beautiful and there are hundreds of different things to do and places to visit. Its people are very friendly and its traditions are just incomparable, specially in the area of Guanacaste province.

@guayacan07 esa es la piscina de skating es en un parque publico muy bonito, se ve con barro porque acacaba de llover, y los grafitis son muy tuanis hechos por artistas locales, ahi se reunen para patinar gente de todas nacionalidades y edades.

Tamarindo is nice, so is jaco. Honeslty, "where it's at" is in La fortuna. The Arenal Volcano is there and it's spectacular. not to mention the rivers (el salto) and the hot water springs. I live here in Costa and frequent all of these places. Tamarindo has a big coke problem anyways... so does Jaco... well, most places here do. Cuidado.

I love Taramindo! All negativity should be ignored! Its a great place to surf, the beach is clean, food is awesome and the nightlife is fun! I was there in March 08 and December 08 and I'm going back for 1 month in March 09 Pura Vida!
