Actually, since 'Ezio Auditore da Firenze' just means 'Ezio Auditore of Florence' then 'Ezio da Firenze' is just as correct. It simply means 'Ezio of Florence.'

'Da Firenze' isn't a part of his name. It's just an identifier that was typically used at the time.

There is one tastefully done romance scene in the beginning (seen at :47 in this vid). Otherwise Ezio doesn't "bang" a lot of women. He just comes across as being a smooth talker.

By the way, you don't have to be a lesbian to like or not like scenes such as that, it all depends on personal taste. The scene only shows a little skin, nothing graphic really. No need to be worried.

great review, just one thing a lot of people think da firenze is ezio's family name but it is in fact the name of the city they're born in making his name Ezio Auditore

much like leonardo da vinci didn't have a family name but is recognized as Da Vinci due to city leonardo was born in which was Vinci.

I did too but I think they are saying that it's way too easy. I was disappointed when I wanted an epic one on one in AC1 and the guy died with 3 swings of my blade. Still...I LOVE the combat system like you.

I would play it. The first one introduces themes that continue on into AC2. There is an overarching storyline that will continue as long as the series continues. So by that standard yes, but you will get bored of the repetitive missions.

might as well get over with playing ac1, because ur definately gonna need to know the story by ac3. plus they fit in better if you play them in order. it will just be a much better experience.

it's sad that combat is still too easy and easy combat to me is the main flaw of the original assassin's creed. It doesn't make hiding crucial as it is much easier to just kill them all.
