  • Its the same thing in Hispanic and other immigrant communities. The things that's worse is most of the people living in those low income communities DON'T CARE! If you try to offer ((many)) of them something organic or vegan, they'll ridicule you and look at you like you're crazy or boogie.

  • this is awesome. i love it. yes, it's true there is food discrimination...we have to drive outside of our communities for descent produce. even the price is different. we even have to pay more for the produce that we do have which is not only limited but subpar in quality compared to those who live in affluent neighborhoods. however, if i have to drive so be it. my good health is well worth the sacrifice but i'd also like to see a change.

  • Somebody ought to tell Oprah about this guy. Talk about fulfilling a dream. He is the author of the book Food Justice, eco-chef and activist for the basic right of nutritian for low income communities.Watch the documentary Processed People. He is one of the twelve people interviewed and this clip is part of his wonderful empassioned interview describing how poor people can and should have access to real food and not the processed high fat, sugar, salt, empty vitamin crap they get dumped on.

  • Grocery stores cater to their communities by carrying foods those people buy. It's not discrimination. It's eating habits.

  • @NephilimFree Don't be jealous black girls who eat pork rinds and drink grape soda get to become an angels. When you come to Heaven I'll make you some chitlins with dandelions, so don't worry your pretty balding head anymore.

  • @Water4Jeremiah You have strange things in your head. God can help.

  • @NephilimFree Since when did your fantasies of having sex with a black girl become my responsibility. You're the one so sexually repressed you've posted videos saying you dream of black "angels" touching you in your sleep. And then you come here insulting black people - I just put you in your place, baldy.

  • @Water4Jeremiah You are in darkness.

  • @NephilimFree It won't look so dark once you take that white mask off your head.

  • @Water4Jeremiah You sound racist. That's unfortunate.

  • @NephilimFree You know if you turn that pointy white mask around and put the eye holes in the front, you might start making some sense. Got anything else to say? God is on my side, you are on the losing end because you rely on your own strength. Continue if you will, but for the record I don't take pleasure in punishing the mentally disabled.

  • @Water4Jeremiah You have my pity.

I see someone (I wonder who?!?!) is filing privacy complaints again. But, I also see that you pulled down your Kenneth Miller video where YOU gave out your own name. Pull down your video, and it's like it never happened, right? You just can't for once deal honestly with people, can you? You're a disgrace, Nephy. A sneaky disgrace, but a disgrace nonetheless.

  • @kafkaOTS I agree with everything you said. NephilimFree the idiot insults black people by subtly implying that black people's eating habits lead to discrimination. In Nephilim's mind, if he can feel better than black people he'll be justified in whatever psychotic existence he believes himself to be. Why should he be taken seriously at the expense of a race that has to put up with more shit than a lazy, white freeloader who spent his whole life taking everything he had for granted.

  • Wow, I've never heard of this kind of food discrimination. That's completely despicable!

  • What is a food desert? A community lacking grocery stores or food establishments that sell fresh, good quality food to eat. Note: Fast food chains do not take the place fresh food. We're talking about food that you can enjoy for more than 2 minutes and can't be handed to you through a drive-thru window.

  • WAY TO GO!!! Thanks!

  • When you go into the produce sections of grocery stores that are located in wealthy communities, you'll see fruits and vegetables that most people shopping at typical grocery stores have never seen before. That's why most people can't even recognize a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. This is an example of the socioeconomic discrimination that is taking place as it relates to food distribution and I commend you for speaking out about it.

  • THANK YOU! Thank you so much for publcly speaking out about this ongoing issue. Why must middle- to low-income families travel outside of their communities in order to gain access to decent food? I'm not even talking about organic food. I'm talking about food that just looks like it is edible. And the saddest thing is, some people are so used to eating poorly that they don't even know what a variety of high-quality food is or how high-quality food is supposed to look. It's a shame.
