I catch 90% of my trout on the white trout magnet. My friends and I call them trout crack. I fish them without the float mostly and tick it along the bottom of rivers.
i swear by trout magnet man! i've caught a 7lbs bass while bobber fishing for crappies in this small lake, and not to mention the multitude of channel cats that always catch me by surprise and break or bend the hook in half most of the time
but its all about the rush of the catch for me using such light tackle!
right on man, trout magnet really does work pretty well and not just for trout! i've used the natural brown color and caught rainbow trout, pumpkinseed sunfish, bluegills, rock bass, yellow perch, and largemouth bass as well. i didn't buy the kit, i've only bought the individual packages at walmart. i'll definitely be trying out different colors. but yeah, the gold jigheads provide good flash and work well.
