Not everyone is blessed with the skills those two had and this is a brutal territorial game, if you don't fight, the sticks come up and that could mean career ending injuries.

They fought 4 times in that series, and each won 2 fights, and after the Islanders won the series, Gilles patted O'Reilly on the back as they were going through the line. Terry won the first fight of that series on April 17th, and Gilles got him back later in the game. Gilles won their next fight, & Terry felt Gillies hit him when he was down, so Terry whipped his ass later in the game & tried to knee him.

@mercyonme7 Terry smoked him twice. Go to dropyourgloves dotcom or any hockeyfight site and even Islanders fans agree that they split the series 2-2 in the 1980 playoffs. In the first fight of the series, Terry landed 6 punches to Gillies 1 & Terry slips at the end, but it was a clear win for O'Reilly. Gillies clearly won fights 2 and 3 of the series, but hit Terry when he was down in Rd. 3 which is O'Reilly returned the favor in RD 4. Gilles only shot landed while a linseman was holding Terry.

Regarding if it's the Bruin's year, it's hard to say. Missing Savard hurts. We used to be 3 deep at center with Savard, Bergeron and Krecji, and we arent the same without him. I think it's Vancouver's year. The east is a crapshoot again like last year, & if Sid comes back Pitt will be tough. We have a shot though.

I used to work and play at a rink when I was 18. I went to Fri. night drop-ins each week, and one week, I had the distinct pleasure of bumping into Tiger Williams during the warmup. He actually came to our drop-in!! I recognized his face, but had to ask who he was. He gets dissed so much here, but the guy was nothing but a gentleman to me. I enjoyed playing w/him. His wristshot was terrifying, too. I dove out of the way-wasn't even trying to stop that s##t. HAHA! Good guy, though.
