  • love the video really good

  • il love the music

  • nice job with the floor there

  • Nice~

  • why don't you use a ruler?

  • @MrSylas12 he is the ruler

  • @MrSylas12 because it is not about the ruler

  • This is awesome! I remember learning perspectives in my art class back in my high school senior year and then I completely forgot how to do this. ^ ^; Thanks for the video and keep up the great work! This has sure refreshed my memory. :D

  • You bring me back out of retirement, because you make it look so easy. You never stop being a student.Keep up with the awesome work......

  • How many maximum number of points (perspective) can be used in a single drawing?

  • @7ifrah typically 2, the most that can be is 3 (look at the website perspective page, it describes it in detail).

  • @7ifrah can up to 3point :D

  • @7ifrah well now it could depend on the pitch that you are drawing .. for instance if u're sketching a building and its roof has a wide variety of angles then more perspective points a required. god i love this stuff :P

  • so if you divide the picture vertically, you make lines on the left side with the right dot and vice versa?

  • @1oceanus it's more complicated then that.. all depends on the point you are looking, for example the dots may be outside of the page.

  • i see you use special eraser.. what is it? is it an malleable eraser? special for coal?

    thanks for answer :)

  • @Skracheyvo 2 kinds of erasers are used, a regular eraser in a plastic container that looks like a pen, and a kneaded eraser for charcoal.

  • can you tell me what type of pencil that is? Is it a charcoal pencil or a black colour pencil?

  • @ArawraTv this is charcoal pencil.

  • Ok do it once again, now a litttlee slower

  • @cattusOk

Thank you for posting this. I'm actually starting over from scratch with my drawing and I need to work on perspective. :)

  • most impressive i love drawing thanks for the vid

  • please make videos in which you talk and explain... that would be better. instead of your hand dancing around

  • @J4archae we are working on such video, will be available as dvd within several months, you can register on the website to receive an email notification when it's ready.

  • @cattusOK you should probably re label the title then, as this is just a demo of your skills

  • hmm. we had this in school and i managed to draw my classroom...

  • you are by far the most amazing person on utube! tks for all the lessons. its all so helpful for my sch work. Thank u so much x 1000000000000000 :D

  • speedy gonzalez :P

    what is a

1.Perspective line drawing of a chair

2.Perspective line drawing of an interior space or building façade and what program should i use for it

  • nice!!

  • very nice

  • nice!!

  • thanks

  • thank u....good video to learn perspective drawing!

  • whats the grey thing u use for the shading?

  • @edmarkbarrera cotton pad with charcoal smeared on it.

  • Where do I find that?!?!

  • @cattusOK Is there any disadvantage in using fingers instead of cotton or tissue for smearing in the case of graphite pencil?

  • @7ifrah whatever gives the better effect in your opinion is better, there is no rule

  • @7ifrah You could use a tortillion if you want it really clean. It's basically a rolled up tube of paper that looks kind of like a crayon. You can get a pack of five or so at an art store for about 2 or 3 dollars. Sometimes when you use your fingers you will get smudges that you can't get out because of the oils in your skin, but if you rub a little graphite on a tortillion and spread it around, as long as you don't scratch the paper you can still dig in pretty well and it can easily be erased.

  • SpeedHack! :D

  • @deathzzz1 it is right

  • @deathzzz1 yes

  • Thanks a lot. That was very useful

  • what is he using to put shadows??? 2:11 - 2:14

  • its good if your doing that kind of work building renovation things to me its good .

  • What type of pencil is that? Or pencils? It's too fast I can't notice if you are using more than just one.

  • @B0g0ev it's a soft charcoal pencil, one type.

  • i'm student in Thailand. i wanna study about this subject. your clip show me some technique. i'll take it for my practice. thank! a lot

  • I LOVE YOUR WEBSITE

  • @MrKayetanBucker Thanks!

  • cool

  • whats the name of the song ?

  • wow i'm born with the talent to draw too but you just proved to me that i gotta work harder, thanks

  • Que lapiz es ese? 8b?

  • @67HALO69AMARILLO soft charcoal pencil.

  • @cattusOK a ok, pero que letra y que numero es? 6B?

  • @67HALO69AMARILLO charcoal pencils don't have letters or numbers.

  • @cattusOK aaaa okkkk, thank you.

  • LOVE this video. It's not drrraaaawwwwnnnn out (no pun intended) like other drawing videos on youtube. Wish there was audio.

  • Please!!! Can anyone tell me how to draw hollow figures in both 1 and 2 point perspectives!!!

  • w0w amazing talent huh!

  • good i like

  • oh you're very fast!! shuahushus

  • Ruler.. A Utencil For Measuring.. Use - Making Straight lines.

  • Very detailed..nicee :D

  • You've got some steel balls to do this free-handedly, and got some artistic skill to actually nail it =D

  • you must name these videos "how I draw..." in which case it would have been truly awesome..disappointing not to have any audio

  • what kind of utencil did you use?

  • @ayisi3n26 a soft charcoal pencil, kneaded eraser and click-eraser, printer paper.

  • @cattusOK u also used a ruler =P

  • Sometimes i think hes using two pencils :P

  • Cool, but a little fast. Some voice narration would have been helpful.

  • no software wiil ever compare to emotion that drawing gives

  • how do u know how u have to draw the shadows by the table on the right?

  • @CLAUSJUHH you can trace the light that you imagine, but you can do it just if you feel like it, it's not a photography so no need to be scientific.

  • @cattusOK I love your website, it is so organized! Congratulations for such a website! :D

  • @bozzollinna Thank you!

  • thanks, i would like to ask when do you use a ruler and when do you use free hand?

  • @newtonlkh When you feel that the line must be absolutely straight and you feel that you will not be able to do it by hand. Use it as much as you want, with time you will use it less and less, there is no "shame" in it, only the result matters.

  • I do not understand why the two points are just there ...?

  • Wow!U're really gd...i hvta do 6 2 point perspective drawings(2 for bedroom, 2 for kitchen and 2 for living room) and the prob is i missed my lecture on it.Crap! I'm watchin ur video and learning frm it. Cld u pls do a 2 point perspective drawing on bedroom? tt'll b really helpful coz i've gt no idea on hw and which angle 2 start frm.

  • great vanishing point technique !

  • Comment removed

  • Impressive I will try this technique for my next background piece.

  • i like your work. you are very prepared on drawing.

  • i wish i know to do this :)

  • that thing you use to smudge/blend the pencil, is it an eraser?

  • Yes, it's a click-eraser. just an eraser in plastic container.

  • can you play some classical jazz or some nice type of music in your vids? thumbs up if you agree

  • @slotback67 we need some nice roclkk!!!!!!

  • I like it a lot, good job. :)

  • what kind of pencil?!?! is he using? my prof. has the same one, but he wouldnt tell me :P

  • It's a soft charcoal pencil.

  • cool! Wish I could be good at drawing but I suck....

  • very very nice

  • Very impressed. It takes me a good 2 or 3 hours to get a drawing done and you do yours so easily. Of course I know the cam is speeding up, but still it feels like everything comes really natural to you. Practice, practice, huh...

  • what kind of camera are you using and how is it propped above you. by the way nice job on all the videos. I have taken a strong interest in your work

  • It's a cheap Canon still camera (you can see by the quality). The camera is supported on a tripod about half a meter above the paper, the tripod head is rotated so the camera is parallel to the paper surface. The image produced has to be flipped horizontally after the shooting.

  • Cool ,5 stars, charcoal is not that good on print paper but i understand this was just a demo.Good stuff.

  • WOW! This Is Soooo~ Amazing!

    By The Way....

    Happy New Year! =D

  • Thanks!

    Happy New Year!!

  • How long did it take you to learn perspective. I'm still on 2 point perspective.. messing with boxes and cones.

  • The theory is not that hard, the rest will come with patience.. give it a few years.

  • How long did it take you to learn perspective. I'm still using a ruler.. and am on boxes, and 1 point perspective.

This is very helpful. Thank you for sharing!
