  • Full HD 112p.

  • ah 40p, i missed you.

  • too long...

  • Can i setup Asterisk instead of old Telebutler running on Win 98? I mean how difficult is it to setup?

  • @Nikolai84D If you can install any operating system, you can easily install asterisk. Go to free PBX's website and download the latest version. Install that to the computer. It will install centOS server with astrisk and free pbx as a web portal to simplify things

  • I have worked on these systems and they are good if you have an linux admin that can p[lug the holes

  • FOCUS!!!

  • This is cool but these guys are SUCH virgins!

  • @TheLonelyDwarf Well pop their virgin assholes then....

  • In order to sign up to asterisk.org, you have to agree to let them to SPAM you email and there is NO WAY OUT other than to report them to Google.

  • Do they have a nice cordless phone system?

  • sure!

  • 1337 lol

  • what does he says at 14:35? about the providers of broadband connectivity?

  • Don't want to sound like a prick, but this guy had the FXO and FXS ports reversed. The phone is the FXO (Foreign eXchange Office) device and the wall port or port on that other device is the FXS (Foreign eXchange Subscriber) port.

  • @yomynameischris408

    No, actually he was right.

  • @superhumanus Wouldn't be the first time I was wrong while trying to correct someone, but I'm pretty sure I'm right on this one, haha. The FXO pot is on the phone itself. The FXS pot is the one that POINTS to the SUBSCIBEr

  • @yomynameischris408 He had it right.

  • @ShanksFactor Alright I must have listened to this thing atleast 15 times and either I'm crazy or he's wrong. FXS is not Foreign eXchange Station is it Foreign eXchange Subscriber. FXS supplies the dial-tone and does not receive it. FXO is the Foreign eXchange Office and is the one that requires the dial-tone. This is very important and must not be mixed up like he did. You need to know what device to buy. If you want to plug a phone (FXO) into the device then you need a device with a FXS port.

  • could it be with mobile phones?

  • @Mikerorib Nokia N900 can run Asterisk...

  • I remember when bandwith was that bad

  • still dont get how2 create 256 pionts video conference with that. >:-/

  • cant hear the monkeys :P

  • 31:50 - you can quite clearly hear them ;)

  • Just turn up the volume! ;0

  • They incorrectly spelled "connects" in the sipura1 sip configuration file. They spelled it "conects" I don't know why but I think its fun finding mistakes. I guess it means I'm really paying attention. I love the show though! thanks for visiting to systm to show us a presentation!

  • It actually says "context", doesn't it?

  • what is numpad asterisk

  • Time Warner rerouted our house so their modem connects to our whole house so this will work just fine.

  • FreePBX is an asterisk GUI, so asterisk is the best :D

  • You guys should check out FreeSWITCH, it can scale from a soft switch to a PBX, IVR, it can do anything.

  • FreeSWITCH is better

  • How can inbound calls work to the wireless phone if he hasnt forwarded port 5060 and the rtp ports through the wireless device or customers internet infrastructure ? I think thats misleading -

  • What is the system operative recommend for asterisk???

    Name and version please...

  • Linux

  • asterisk is a song

  • really good video. thanks

  • wake up kevin rose

  • Asterisk rocks

  • great video

  • how to configure the X101P card? The device they used is very easy to configure, but in actual when you deal with the zaptel devices they are very hard to get work.

any vdo or links on zaptel device for Asterisk please....

  • if you have your own server can you call long distences around usa?

  • have you portugues version?

  • Thanks. Before see this, it sounds like Ask the risk

  • Great stuff. Got to try and set up a system for myself and then maybe for my office.

Thanks. Would like to see more on this subject.

  • a business user wouldnt search youtube for a PBX systemw ould they?

  • The power of Asterisk is that you can leverage your long distance calling costs and allow for multiple "extensions" in the home. So, instead of having to fight for who's on the phone, everyone can use it. It's the same thing from a business standpoint.

  • Excellent video with a very dancing soundtrack.

Where can I find that song?

How can I do translate this video to spanish?

  • Nortel can kiss my proprietary ass.

  • cool!

  • the LINUX interface was not much visible i.e. readable

  • You may download the original files at http://revision3.com/systm/asterisk/ in order to retrieve the original higher definition versions.

  • thanx
