What is the Wifi adapter on the computer? Because i have a dell 1390 minicard WLAN and it had same problem....

Most people making a connection it means the only connection is wireless .

What to do when you do not have a internet ?

@stojnic2003 you shouldn't have this problem if you have no internet at your house. if you do but have no ethernet then use a usb ethernet adapter or a usb wifi card

any way to get the wireless driver working without a wired connection? such as downloading the driver from another computer (or from another os on the laptop that has wireless working) and install it somehow thorugh linux mint? a wired connection is a bit of a inconvenience for me.

@Scotsman707 on mint you can use a built in program called windows driver install or something like that. if you have the .inf file for the driver it will work

Mint 10 is "Julia" not "Gloria", no big deal though
