I know it would sound good in the guitar and with the 5150... But I've never heard it through 1960 cab. I used to jam on a 5150 through my mesa cab so I know that sounds good...
Do it... You won't regret it. The one I got I paid like 50 dollars for. Compare that to the 110 dollars I paid for an EMG and the 75 or 80 dollars I paid for a SD. The tech that installed it even said it was the clearest pickup he'd heard and wanted to know more about it and where I got it.
The mids were up higher than the bass. I had the bass at like 11 o'clock. The mids at just over 12 o'clock. And the highs at 1 o'clock. Good call on the that 70's show tv thing. I wasn't even thinking about it when I turned the camera on to record.

think that an L500xl would sound good in a gibson flying V through a Peavey 5150 and a Marshall 1960 cab?
