  • i think the water flow is too fast, don´t you think?

  • nice hydro system but its no fun growing lettuce lol i guess for some ppl it is.

  • Any new updates?...just wondering how your setup is doing now that it's had plenty of time to get established. I like the fish helpers in your garden.

  • neat set up mate! pretty sexy looking good job.

  • Hybrid systems? Urgh....too much work. Good job though dude.

  • What do you do when the plants get bigger?

  • is that pack wood

  • How did you get the perfect holes on the PVC pipes?

  • @SPinterest

Hole saws are great for making nice, large, round holes. Any store that sells drill bits ought to have some. They hook right in to your drill like any other drill bit would.

  • I really like your system! do you sell them or how do I get the plans to build one myself? thanks!

  • Looks like a quality made system. Have you considered adding a symbiotic talapia tank in series with this?

    ,

  • I love your setup, would you consider putting a sketch online of your plumbing. I've been trying to design a similar system for indoors. Thanks!!

  • I love what your doing! I'm reading/watching/learning as much as I can and our starter setup is very impressive!

  • mad man

  • Wheres All The Weed!?!?

  • 24. . .i was 23 at the time of the video recording

  • @Fletchman08 excellent idea .. does it make money sense? how can i experiment with it? what is the design? do you have any special training for this?

  • how old are you?

  • Check out my third video its an aquaponic setup using gold fish i now have a setup in my backyard using a 1000 gallon fish pond and a bunch of koi fish i am currently growing aquaponic strawberries in it and am in the process of building more grow beds for lettuce, spinach and other greens I use a UV light/filter system to eliminate any algea the pond water is clear the and the fish and strawberries are healthy, also i grow duck weed in a seperate filter to feed the fish.self sustaining system

  • Instead of putting feed stuff in the resevoir, try using fish. They produce all the nutrients you need to feed the plants, then the water is recycled cleaned and aerated back to the fish. If you grown edible fish, you have a fully closed system that you don't need to add fertilizer to and it's all organic. It's called aquaponics, check it out!

    Great setup though!

  • Very nice! I'm learning more as I grow!

  • What is in the pots besides the plant- it looks like a very uniform red substance

This is cool I want to do it too

  • thanks

  • how often do the police come to check if you are not growing pot?and why the fuck don tyou buy your lettuce at wal mart and grow pot in there?you could harvest a pound every three month.

  • @jimmyallenjr- i beleive i spent right around $150 for all of the materials, Including the errors i made. However if i built this system again i would do a few things differently. I have just recently finished some vertical strawberry towers and also some NFT Microgreen beds, i will upload vids later. Thanks.

  • @xxwesdogxx- Burying the reservoir is a great idea for cooling, however i live about twenty mins from a temperate rainforest in the Hoh Valley near Forks wa. I Spent alot of time trying to develop ways to heat my water and keep it heated. Burying the res. acts as isulation so if i put a fish tank heater in it the water temperature stays fairly constent.

  • may i suggest partially burying your reservoir to cool the water by like 5 degrees

  • thats an awesome, yet simple setup....do you recall the total cost?

  • Post an update video

  • @london1817 I am in the process of expanding the bay that the system is in, when i finish the add on ill post a new video...however the tomatoes are about two feet tall and the peppers are catching up. i have harvested most of the romaine lettuce and started some more seeds...you will see the rest in the video update.

  • Very nice set up!! you have done well ;)
