Any new updates?...just wondering how your setup is doing now that it's had plenty of time to get established. I like the fish helpers in your garden.
Hole saws are great for making nice, large, round holes. Any store that sells drill bits ought to have some. They hook right in to your drill like any other drill bit would.
Check out my third video its an aquaponic setup using gold fish i now have a setup in my backyard using a 1000 gallon fish pond and a bunch of koi fish i am currently growing aquaponic strawberries in it and am in the process of building more grow beds for lettuce, spinach and other greens I use a UV light/filter system to eliminate any algea the pond water is clear the and the fish and strawberries are healthy, also i grow duck weed in a seperate filter to feed the fish.self sustaining system
Instead of putting feed stuff in the resevoir, try using fish. They produce all the nutrients you need to feed the plants, then the water is recycled cleaned and aerated back to the fish. If you grown edible fish, you have a fully closed system that you don't need to add fertilizer to and it's all organic. It's called aquaponics, check it out!
how often do the police come to check if you are not growing pot?and why the fuck don tyou buy your lettuce at wal mart and grow pot in there?you could harvest a pound every three month.
@jimmyallenjr- i beleive i spent right around $150 for all of the materials, Including the errors i made. However if i built this system again i would do a few things differently. I have just recently finished some vertical strawberry towers and also some NFT Microgreen beds, i will upload vids later. Thanks.
@xxwesdogxx- Burying the reservoir is a great idea for cooling, however i live about twenty mins from a temperate rainforest in the Hoh Valley near Forks wa. I Spent alot of time trying to develop ways to heat my water and keep it heated. Burying the res. acts as isulation so if i put a fish tank heater in it the water temperature stays fairly constent.
will you call me? I am in the middle of putting together a hydroponic system and want it to be very similar to yours. I just have a few questions. Your system looks great! Let me know and I can email you my phone number. My email is jjmerkle@gmail.com
@london1817 I am in the process of expanding the bay that the system is in, when i finish the add on ill post a new video...however the tomatoes are about two feet tall and the peppers are catching up. i have harvested most of the romaine lettuce and started some more seeds...you will see the rest in the video update.
i think the water flow is too fast, don´t you think?

Looks like a quality made system. Have you considered adding a symbiotic talapia tank in series with this?

I love your setup, would you consider putting a sketch online of your plumbing. I've been trying to design a similar system for indoors. Thanks!!
