  • Another problem is the US Attorney General is also a criminal. Fast and Furious.

  • Government Sachs. The AIG bailout went to directly to Goldman Sachs and foreign banks like Societe Generale and Deutsche Bank on their credit default swaps (bets against our housing market. Goldman Sachs was betting against the very same products they were selling to American pension funds and they got bailed out. Now that is a crime against all of us. RICO

  • Neel Kashkari = Lives a life centered in his Money

Donald Manzullo = Lives a life centered in his Heart

Put them in a room together and you get this video.

  • I love it, so can Ireland have 64 bilionn of weath transfer back

  • Talk about the ruling class not understanding main st, this video is a perfect example. Kashkari has some pretty hairy hands...i bet his palms are harry too

  • MR MANZULLO ALSO MUST STEP DOWN FOR LETTING THE AMERICAN INDUSTRY LEAVING THE USA CREATING THE UNEMPLOYMENT HE HE IS TALKING ABOUT AND TO TOP IT OFF VOTING AGAINST THE EXTENDED UNEMPLOYMENT RELIEF HE HAS COUSED TO EXIST

  • "Congressman, I don't know the details ...."

    Neel is sitting there thinking

"Congressman, I made more money last year than you'll make for the rest of your life. So, Congressman, I'll sit here and smirk and finish my term, go back into high finance, and make exponentially more than I earned before because I now know the inside workings of Treasury, and I now have lots of GS allies in Treasury to overlook any misdeeds I'll make in the future.

    "That's your simple answer, Congressman."

  • kashkari is a pathetic lttle twerp.

  • @abeoable

    He's kinda cute actually:)

  • Well at least the fed et al have paid over 25.7 million to the bank of Ireland. If not they could not travel internationally

  • go kashkari yeaaaaaaaaa

  • Holy crap, Manzullo is a douchebag.

  • I want to know why Manzullo thinks decreasing a 3 million dollar bonus will save a job in his town.

  • @Grizzli14 The real question is why did anyone get a bonus in the first place? That $3 million would keep a lot of low/middle income people working. My co-workers and I used to get $100 for Christmas, then it was $50, then $25...for the last 10+ years we haven't gotten crap ("we all have to tighten our belts!"). Employees do more work and get less in return. Bonuses in this economy ARE uncalled for. Decreasing the bonus might not save one job in Manzullo's town. It might save yours or mine.

  • Manzullo is a grandstanding prick. He was a part of the problem and now tries to grill the people that are trying to fix the shit that he helped create?

  • Congressman Manzullo obviously CAN handle the truth; CashAndCarrion CAN'T.

  • Manzullo for president!!!!!

  • What difference would a yes or no answer make? What punishment is Manzullo gong to hand out when he gets a straight answer? The question is pure rhetoric.

  • no kashkari is part of the federal reserves plan to run the world, just look into it, the lead bankers "run this town" (look into the jay z conspiracy)

  • Our old buddy Chris Dodd made provision available at the last minute before they passed the bail out bill to receive Bonuses. But Sheeeee the Democrats are on our side. They do every thing right.

  • Thanks Rep Manzullo. AIG is evil. Keep routing out these incompetent Obama cronies!

  • Manzullo did what anyone with a brain would do.

  • The guy is just trying to show that he has a grasp of the situation (which he doesn't) and make it look like he's tough on the money grabbers (which he is himself). They point fingers so you look that way.

  • kashkari=cashcarry

  • screw both. kaskari has been a long time republican. manzullo is acting to show his voters how he CARES for em. both make their millions from stealing the ppl. the show continues....

  • manzullo is definitely doing it for show. look at his eyes.

  • 3 Million would completely change my life. I'm glad we hold people accountable harshly when it comes large amounts like this.

  • Hang him

  • 34 government goon czars now, answerable to nobody?

    welcome to obama's america.

  • would it have been more reasonable if that guy called a congressman let Neel Kashkari finish his sentence first? I don't think Kashkari had a chance AT ALL to express his concerns and thoughts when he was answering this guy. That sucks. I guess what Manzullo did was just trying to express his anger and making sure that the people at the district he represents see that so he will be re-elected next term. That's it

  • He gave him plenty of chances. The guy had no clue what to answer.

  • Wonderful, finally someone who will speak for the people. Thank you Mr. Manzullo!!

  • wow Mr Manzullo is really emotional

  • The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity... - Albert Einstein

  • Yeah Illinois Represent!!!!!

  • I want to be a Czar

  • Originally, the title Czar (derived from Caesar) meant Emperor in the European medieval sense of the term, that is, a ruler who claims the same rank as a Roman emperor, with the approval of another emperor or a supreme ecclesiastical official (the Pope or the Ecumenical Patriarch).

  • Manzullo is an idiot. He does not know what is talking about. Shame on him.

The American people should really care whether money can be returned, not how they spent the money. If talents left, AIG will be gone, all American money wll be gone. Manzullo, if you do not know, shut up!!!

  • AIG failed at what they do. They went bankrupt. You call that talent? Taxpayers kept AIG in business, not the talent of AIG executives. Did you EVER receive a bonus for failing? Does NIKE ever sponsor a "last place" competitor. I'll tell you, NO. NIKE doesn't get into the habit of sponsoring losers, that's why that company is successful and does not need a bailout.

  • Then just do not bill them out. Let them bankrupt. Then we would have not probelm with bonus anymore. If you still want your billout money back, a bonus for them is better than not giving one. This is not perfect. But suck it up, this is life.

  • I completely agree. Don't bail them out.

  • Most of AIG is very good at what they do. Unfortunately, a small fraction of AIG failed, and failed miserably.

AIG has talents, many talents. To keep them, and run the company, so the company can return your billout money. A bonus is justified.

You have to understand the big picture, the goal.

In addition, NIKE has problem also.

Disclaimer: not relationship with AIG at all.

  • So, if you hired me to do some construction on your home and what I give you back is poor work and actually went over the budget, you would give me a Bonus? Sweet! NIKE may have their problems but I don't see them with their handout. Plenty of companies that have problems but they manage because they act responsibly. Take GMC and Ford companies. GM has their hand out because their business failed, but does Ford? If talent at AIG leaves, then that means other companies have a lot to gain.

  • Your logic is flawed. Your analog is wrong.

After you also put in your billout money, talents are gone because of breaching of garantee contract, the result is that you lose all your billout money. If that is what you want, then be it! Be realistics!

  • My reasoning isn't flawed. You said it yourself, a very small fraction of AIG screwed up. Unfortunately, the small fraction that screwed up is the people in charge, the ones who can control policy in the company, decision makers, the ones who are responsible for the success AND ultimately the failure of AIG. You're telling me that those people, responsible for the bankruptcy of AIG, should be given millions of dollars as reward and as an incentive to keep them on a payroll? Job well done.

  • I am impressed by your presistence, but at the same time feel sorry for you saying stuff you clearly do not know what it is.

If you count different businss units of AIG, most of them are making money, a lot of money. The small fraction is its CDS CDO related business. The loss overshadowed other gains becuase of leverage effect.

  • The company failed and went under. It doesn't matter if one part was doing ok while the other failed. The company as a whole failed. The ceo deserves no bonus for running a failed company.

  • Yes, CEO does not deserve bonus, what about the hardworking employees whose division made a profit for the company. They deserve one. By the way, the CEO of AIG did not take any bonus. The video is not talking about him

  • Sure a bonus should be paid based on performance not what was signed in a contract. My dad is the president of a small plastic injection molding company and he gets a bonus when the company performs well. He gives his employees a bonus based on the number of years they have worked there and their performance. That is how it should be from the minimum wage employee to the CEO on salary.

Oh my bad. I thought they were talking about the CEO.

  • My friend, I agree with what you said. However, your thinking is very idealistic. In the Coporate America, especially during the past 10 years, the competition for human recoursces was so intense. To get the best people, a garanteed bonus was necessarily included in the contract, otherwise, you will not be able to get their service. This is realistic. Mr. Kashkari really had nothing to do with that. Employees will sue AIG if it does not follow contract. Very sad, but true.

  • whatever is in the contract is what should be paid. the onus is on whoever offered the bonus in the contract; they made the bad business decision and should be held accountable for it.

  • Yeah a contract is a contract and should be followed but bonuses should not be given in a contract.

  • Peanuts. He ought to be yelling about the trillions for stimulus and bailouts. A trillion is a million times a million after all. I am as opposed to this fascist stuff as anyone, but hey, this congressman acted like a talk-show host - that is to say, on a rude power-trip.

The public yelled about the bailouts. They flooded the phones in DC with calls that ran 99 to 1 against. But the congress did it anyway. That's what we ought to be yelling about. Instead most were voted back in in 2006.

  • Awesome!

But as a congressman, you should have put forth a motion or whatever to have that gentleman dismissed.

  • Manzullo is a blowhard. He is grandstanding and using that guy, an interim secty, as scapegoat. Those with R's next to their names do nothing but oppose right now. It's a piece of cake for them. The PROBLEM is they argue up there and don't get anything done. Manzulo wasted everyone's time in that room. The time and place for that argument was not there. Check out Liddy's - AIG Ceo Sept '08 his salary $1.00 yr. Life isn't as simple as MANZ. People in his district need to replace him.

  • Still stuck in the left-right paradigm huh buddy. That's ok, u'll wake up sooner or later. I'm guessing later.

  • It's funny how these financial regulators have so much trouble saying "yes" or "no." It's disgusting.

  • Another politician in love with the sound of his own voice.... a typical idiot, full of sound and fury signifying nothing.

  • Way to go! Smack that smirk off that guy's face.

  • Beautiful and well done. Someone needs to tell those damn liberals that living their fairy tale lives while everyone else pays for it is WRONG!!! Much props to Rep. Manzullo, I wish every state had someone like him fighting for them.

  • Deluded "Conservative" tools would love to bill Kashkari as an "Obama guy when it was actually Paulson who appointed him to the treasury. Who appointed Paulson? Your man Bush. This country will continue to get fucked unless you realize that both "Democrats" and so called "Republicans" are giving our country away to the bankers.

  • Look how the Jewish bankers are starting to use muslims to shill for their agenda. It's just another aspect of how diabolical their Zionist banking conspiracy really is.

  • 4/30/2009: Manzullo voted NO on HR 627 calling for Credit Card Reform. What a hero for the the banks he claims to be fighting! This guy need to GO and will go in 2010

  • Great questions. Again, Democrates just spending and publicity. Wake up America. Democrates say Big Business is Bad, Government is

Good. Socialism!!! Not what made this country great.

  • Good job Congressman, we need more people like him in government.

  • All day tomorrow Monday April 27 everyone should call as many members of the House of Representatives and urge them to vote for HR 1207 to Audit the Federal Reserve Bank. The toll-free number is 1-877-851-6437 and the switch board operator will direct your call to any Representative. It does not matter if a Rep. is outside your district call every member of the House and tell them the Federal Reserve is a private banking cartel that must be investigated. They are going to rob us via inflation.

  • Anyone who does not think Manzullo is GREAT in this clip is an idiot. Communist, socialist, lunatic liberal IDIOT.

    Rock ON Mr. Manzullo!

  • I wish more Americans were as passionate about right and wrong. Great clip!

  • So "liberal" and "idiot" are synonymous to you, ProSPalin? Manzullo IS great in this! And I am a Democrat. And you are a conservative moron.

  • Give me a break. Manzullo is begging for face time. I wonder if he grilled the Bush admin for the 30 million they gave to AIG through January. What a load...

  • Maddiesmom1201 get a life and realize that Mr "o"s man is an idoit and you need to get a reality check.

  • YEAH!!! just kidding, Maddiesmom, you get a big, fat 0

  • I think some say he is being dramatic...EVERY congress person should be pissed off. We are being ripped off over and over. I say GOOD JOB for someone to say something to these bonuses....They do NOT deserve these bonuses.

  • You're an idiot. Kashkari is a bag boy for 0.

  • right, shill! AMERICANboy? Are you trying to fool people with that name? Do you work for Wall Street?

  • Manzullo is being overly dramatic so some random clip of his will make the news and he will become famous. I doubt he even knows exactly what he is asking. He seems a little confused and tries to compensate with obviously contrived anger.

Kashkari is good. He will be very successful in his career. All these average intelligent congressmen will come and go but Kashkari will keep rising.

  • you have got to be purely stupid. anyone who isn't outraged at what has been going on in our federal gov't with these irresponsible "bailouts" primarily of wall street banks, should read more history, because you need to understand this process of hundreds of billions, if not trillions of bailouts is a total con job and is criminal. learn about the history of the banksters in the book, "The Creature From Jekyll Island", it tells the history of the federal reserve.

  • Unbelievable...

Americanboy4567, Kashkari is just another soldier for the Goldman Sachs family. Judging by his actions, he is certainly NOT looking out for the interests of the US taxpayer, or the US in general.

Charge him and his buddies with RICO, along with all the politicians and central bankers that were complicit in this massive fraud.

  • You would be surpised how man genius-level "Kashkari's" out there don't have the common sense of a person of average intelligence...

If these "geniuses" were so goddamned smart we wouldn't be in this situation right now. It's time to kick the "geniuses" to the curb and install some people with common sense in their place.

  • I have news for you Apike6, most people in this country are employed by small businesses not big corporations. The men and women who run these organizations have earned the right to be despised by just about everyone they come in contact with. I disagree with you. When big businesses fold they take their monopolizing ways with them, and more opportunities open up for the little guy. Rather than helping them we should be DISMANTLING THEM! It's about damned time we did...

  • First your concept of Little and Big Business is different than mine and I am not for those who rob others with rich pensions and bonuses. I don't abhor Bonuses but in my lifetime of working, I have ever only recieved 2 of them. 1 last year and one 2 years ago is a so called big business, They once employed several thousand locally, but now only employ a couple hundred, and even less after the last couple days of layoffs!

  • Where will small business get their loans?

  • The President talks of patriotism and universal responsibility. There are people taking the chance of getting their heads shot off in Afghanistan for $500 bucks a week right now. Meanwhile these financial experts are recieving multimillion dollar bonuses just to get them to stick around and help unravel the mess they've made. Where is THEIR "patriotism"? Why do they need to be paid millions of dollars to do something for their country? When do THEY get to sacrifice for the good of the Republic?

  • Uhhh... we now know that those bonuses were put in the stimulus bill by the Obama administration. Chris Dodd admitted it. This is the more important issue. Why didn't this guy know this? The joke is on all of us.

  • Are you side tracked yet America? I see you still have you blinders on... Should we really be mad at 3 million??? They are printing trillions! TRILLIONS

    Millions... 1000000

    Billions 1000000000

    Trillions 1000000000000

    Wake the f*ck up!

  • In this video, Congressman Don Manzullo (JD, Marquette University Law School) is acting and hiding his own past behavior. He voted NO on legislation that provided the owners (shareholder) of companies a vote on corporate executive salaries. And now he pretends to be upset. I live in his home town and know his voting record. He is a friend of big business, not common people.

  • Did you ever work for a Poor Person??

I haven't, but when big business fold, so do a lot of little guys who work for them!

  • I have worked for so called small businesses also, and when the government went out to "Tax The Rich" These Small businesses had No Business and I and many others lost their Jobs.

I was for The Big 3 declaring Bankrutcy and no Bail out! And have not been for any of the bail outs to tell you the truth, But We should be dismantling them is a scary thought, I take it you mean the government running them, if so that is pure Socialism,

  • No Apike6, it's "socialism" when the government declares a company "too big to fail" and steps in to bail it out with taxpayer money. THAT'S SOCIALISM... I have owned several small businesses in my day, and I can tell you that if you mess up and lose your shirt by making a whole bunch of stupid decisions the U.S. Government is NOT going to step in with a big fat check to save you, THEY WILL LET YOU FAIL That's free enterprise Apike, that capitalism, and now it's dead. Accept it.

  • And so now we have one set of rules for the big mega corporations and another set of rules for you and me... The government exists ONLY to service the most power multinational corporations, and it does their bidding to the exclusion of everyone and anything else. It will let poor children starve to save AIG. That is the reality of the sitation. America is now owned lock, stock, and barrel by Wall Street, and if you are not a fat cat YOU DON'T COUNT.

    Basically, we are doomed.

  • The problem is, those so called Small Businesses, according to the Fed under this Administration, They are Rich because the gross sales exceed the amount to take them into the higher tax brackets or close. And every time a government tries this tax and spend stuff, many Small Guys Loose their jobs, not the big guys or company owners unless they go out of business and that will start to happen under this president!

added as I was 208 over the limit!

  • I am agreeing with you , it is Socialism! Thats why we should have let them fail, maybe you didn't read that part, but then when you are limited to 500 characters, it is hard to get all of it in and that was left out of the other 2 replies because you are also limited to a couple posts.

  • boy do we need more people like that

  • Illinois! Listen up! Were taking your congressman for our own! Hes coming to Michigan and God help him!

  • THAT'S MY CONGRESSMAN!!

  • Thumbs up for Mr.Manzullo go get em your ok in my book give em hell.

  • this is an instant classic!

  • I LOVE HIM!!! Manzullo for President!!

  • The simple fact is that parts of AIG were profitable, and other parts were not. Some executives were successful, others not. I suggest that bonuses be paid accordingly.

  • 3 million dollar bonuses? Hell I'm more worried about the trillions Obama's spending-its outrageous!

  • And just how much did Bush spend?

  • According to the Constitution, Congress is the only one Authorized to spend money.

But The Amount Spent during the Bush Presidency will bar far be outspent 2 to 1 with the projections of the Obama Administration that will be spent by The Obama administration if Authorized by Congress.

  • Yeah OK. Believe what you want. Just remember who got us into this mess.

  • I remember, Bush spent lots on things we didn't need, but now Obama has proposed even more spending! His numbers show at the end of his Presidency if it lasts 8 years, The Federal Deficit more than doubling as we are only burdoning our Children and Grandchildren with more Government Spending!

  • not only that, it's more than all the previous presidents combined.

    think about that.

  • Over 95% of our politicians are unsuccessful lawyers trained in the art of deception, deceit and dishonesty. They all should go without pay for running the largest ponzi-scheme in the history of mankind (social security), raiding turst funds such as the Federal highway trust fund, running budget deficits, excessive taxation, corruption, etc.

  • amen to that!!! I agree 100%!!!!!

  • HAHAHA you people getting all bent out of shape over a POLITICIAN grilling another POLITICIAN!

  • Ok our reps are asking this of executives...We the people should ask why our reps are getting paid 180k a year, barely work what we would consider a part-time job, and have done such a horrible job in controlling their expenses. They dont live in a reality, they dont have to worry about retirement if they make 2 terms, I think a group of monkeys put in to the same room would give us the same result, this way bribs will only come in the way of banana's vs dollars. Voteout every current politician

  • Comment removed

  • I believe the answer is: "No, congressman. Unfortunately I have no legal right or authority to ask to negate a legally negotiated contract."

  • this is political grandstanding at its worst! government caused the AIG problems, exempted the bonus payments, and now acts outraged by the bonuses. government is NOT the solution, it's the problem!

  • what do you expect from a capitalistic society and government.btw Manzullo punked his ass out.

  • This is more complicated then just a YES or NO answer. Stop interrupting the guy and let him explain.

  • When Congressman Manzullo votes NO on a bill that provides SHAREHOLDERS with an advisory vote on executive compensation and then pretends outrage, it is not only partisan, it is hypocrisy. @andersenfive: Try reading the bill.

  • Please just answer!!!

  • Please note that are problems ARE bipartisan. Reagan initiated de-regulation and Clinton embraced it. Our Congress overturned through legislation all previous safeguards put into place after previoius depressions ie-- in 2000 our Congress made derivatives legal again after there was a law banning this

put in place in 1908 after the depression of 1907-- Both parties are guilty of this mess. Private companies jumped on the band wagon as well for their own corporate greed.

  • Comment removed

  • These co ngressmen and senators voted in the stimulus plan to allow this crap.

They are the ones that need pink slips.

On the matter of taxing the bonuses to recoup the loss/

I hate to see a legal presendent made to allow a single group of people to be regulated in such a manner.

The fault lies with the administration and chris dodd.

  • AIG goes down and we loose the hundreds of billions that we WILL have to pay back in taxes. The entire situation is FUBAR but I would like to see my tax dollars not be COMPLETELY wasted. Not that I agree that they should have gotten it in the first place, mind you.

  • @dave1dcs: Congress has NO BUSINESS telling private companies how much they can pay people. No American should support such measures as HR1257, as that would be the beginning of the end of freedom (see Sewell quote below).

Of course, once a company is owned by the gov't.--itself a travesty--then compensation is fair game. However, changes can't be retroactive. Any legislation that would retroactively take money from someone is strictly prohibited by our Constitution.

    That still matters, right?

  • @dave1dcs: To quote Thomas Sowell: "Egalitarians create the most dangerous inequality of all -- inequality of power. Allowing politicians to determine what all other human beings will be allowed to earn is one of the most reckless gambles imaginable. Like the income tax, it may start off being applied only to the rich but it will inevitably reach us all."

  • Manzullo's Rockford, Illinois will soon have a big stimulating airport expansion - no thanks to Manzullo's NO vote and attempts to derail the stimulus package

  • Thank you so much Mr.Manzullo for speaking for all of us that work so hard. AIG was the straw that broke the camel's back. Personally, I was born and raised in California and we decided to move to Costa Rica where there is a "real" democracy and dramatically less taxes.

  • Why to go.Terry. (: jp

  • Hey jp - thanks . . . just stating the way EVERYONE in this country feels!

  • In 2007 Congressman Manzullo - Voted No on regulating the subprime mortgage industry (HR3915) -Voted No on efforts to limit coorporate executive compensation (HR1257) Congressman Manzullo IS the problem.

I am from his district, but he does NOT represent me!

  • Kudo's to You Mr.Manzullo for speaking up for the majority of us who feel we have no voice.

  • Meanwhile back at the lair, Obamacons have printed 1.5 Trillion dollars out of thin air.

Excellent job distracting the public with a problem you orchastrated months ago. No one noticed the surefire ecomonic destruction of completely devaluing the dollar.

  • Very few A-rabs that you can trust, that includes Odumbo

  • I am a rep but the rep from Illinois is a real arse. Did Rep Manzullo read the bill that he helped get passed that allowed the bonuses to be paid?

  • Rep. Manzullo voted against the stimulus bill that included the provision exempting the bonuses. He also voted against the bailout bill twice.

  • Manzullo is a Republican in the House and NO Republican in the HOUSE voted for the Stimulus package. There were 3 Republican Senators that tipped the scales and allowed the bill to pass. Their name will some day go down in infamy.

  • Just say Thank-you" to Obama and team, for this mess!

  • Obama ushered in the SOLUTION to the decades long misapproprations and mismanagement? You need to do your homework before attacking the only political figure to actually do something about it.

  • Hows that Kool-Aid taste?????

  • thank god someone is finally answering the hard questions.....screw ahh the b,s. is out there...get our money back!

  • This AIG shit is just another way of dooping the public and steer them away from the real bankers who are robbing this country blind. I'm not fooled nor am I distracted from the real plan of what the bail out really is for.

  • I can just look at Keel and tell he's an ass.

  • Great "Populist Grandstanding" for the cameras, but completely worthless in light of ALL the facts. These bonuses were disclosed long ago and specifically approved in the legislation that was enacted. The fact the congressmen didn't bother to read the freakin' bill is THEIR problem!!

Like so much of congress, this doesn't give the whole story. It's stupid theatrics and we should throw the whole lot of them out of Washington and start fresh.

  • All I can say is BURN!

  • Well done Rep. Manzullo . . . wish I was hearing this from my CA reps! If only we could hear more about Harold Raines ($90 mil) and Jaime Gorelick ($27 mil) scooting out of Fannie Mae just before the house of cards collapsed! I'm no accountant, but I think it's a pretty good bet that extending an expense line 3 or 4 years into future fiscal years to improve the appearance of the bottom line in an effort to score the greatest performance bonus could qualify as fraud.

  • This is a good start. More please-

  • WHy is there no talk about the federal funding that goes to the family court judges and their elf lawyers. Trillions of federal funding and state funding is used to abuse children and tear apart families. Say hello to the judge that retired last week who is now in Mexico on the beach with the tax payers money

  • can we please be done with the "Obama's eligibility to hold office" already...this is a sick rumor being promulgated by extremist fringe groups. Obama's American birth certificate has been authenticated by Hawaiin officials, both of whom have won awards in their long and distinguished careers. This is the only time their honesty has ever been questioned. So put it to rest already -- Barack Obama is as American as you are. Now please stick to the real issues; they are big and important.

  • manomet58, you obviously know NOTHING about the issue. Mr. Obama has lawyers fighting this very simple demand.

  • The trouble is, Congress KNEW about the planned bonuses BEFORE they approved the bail out. Yet Congress gave them OUR MONEY ANYWAY! Don't be distracted by all this nonsense. Our nation is rapidly becoming a socialist dictatorship. While I applaud this congressman's "outrage", I have no faith (NONE) in either the house, the senate or the white house. Why should I trust any politician who refuses to challenge Obama's eligibility to even hold office?

  • Our government is out of control and I hope the people have the determination and guts to stand up and take back what is ours. Mankind has a long history of revolution against governments that grow corrupt and all-powerful. What's it going to take? Bloodshed? Fracturing of the Union? Anarchy in the streets? Public political lynchings? Assinations of key offenders to get the message out that Americans are not going to be ruled under tyranny? Evil lurks in the shadows of global unrest.

  • Fantastic. I hope this type of questioning spreads.

  • WHY NO FEDERAL PROSECUTIONS FOR KEY AIG CDS PRODUCT CREATORS, DESIGNERS, MARKETING-SALES PERSONNEL AND the overseeing executive management to the very top of the divisional and corporate org charts????there is no prosecutorial activity in the works AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL?? thats why god made eliot spitzer and andrew cuomo of NY! the answer is our DC GOVT IS A SWAMP OF WHORES PIMPS STOOGES FOR WALL STREET, CORPORATE AM,ERICA AND THE WORLD WIDE WEALTH CLASS.

  • Nothing's going to fix this mess but a hanging party and a big fire in a place that used to be a swamp over 200 years ago.

It's still a swamp, just a different kind.

Don't understand? Follow my links. Read the quotes page first. Then share and prepare.

Then watch the movie "Michael Collins" for what our future holds.

  • Thank you voice of reason! Manzullo is one straight shooter. Just watch Kashkari's body language and fidgeting. It's pathetic.

  • For once a politician that has spoken up for his people and spoken his mind and rightfully so.

I wish more of them would step up to the plate.

    Congratulations to Rep MAnzullo

  • This isn't a liberal or a conservative issue, it's a common sense issue.

Everybody involved in this disaster either helped along the fraud or looked away when it came to their attention.

I'll at least applaud Rep. Manzullo for getting it right. Now only if he could get the rest of colleagues pointed in the right direction.

  • We need more government officials like him. Give straight forward comments and demand straight forward responses. Enough of this smoke and mirror, politically correct bullshit responses. I wanted to wipe that smirk off Kashkari's smug face !!! Hey , Rep. Manzullo would you conside coming to New Jersey .. we need a man like you!!!

  • Suppose this exec had specific expertise they desparately need. AIG is in deep kimshi and headhunters are calling this guy to jump ship. AIG knows they need him to help them address these problems so they offer him a retention bonus of $3M to stay and help them deal with this. So he turns down the alternate offers and sticks it out applying his expertise on behalf of AIG as they contracted. Now, should be be told a year later that, "Oops...not PC to pay you now. Tough luck!"

  • I applaud this guy. He's one of the few that has the balls to tell it like it is. Most of these assholes hide behind Congress' walls and pad their own pockets. I;m completely fed up with the system and who runs it. And "rkaley", you feed the machine of rhetoric, and are obviously part of the problem, you lazy hack....Thanks Mr. Manzullo...

  • AWESOME!

  • this is the first viewing I have seen of a congressman that I am proud of. no political correctness here just give me an answer of why you are throwing away my tax dollars. you rock mr. manzullo

  • This is why I'm so happy that Don Manzullo is my congressman. Living in an area with ultraliberal Sens. Durbin and Burris, Manzullo is a breath of fresh air and I wish him much success.

  • While this congressman was berating this assistant Sec.of the Treasury , the Government was spending over $1,000,000 a minute. This does not include the cost to taxpayers of this silly little grandstanding by Manzulla. The question should be, "Will we be better off if all the money went back to the treasury and divided among the population." Each person would receive about 38 cents. This AIG deal is just a diversion as the congress and President placed a debt of $35,000 on every person.

  • This is so typical of our government. They do this all the time, and the TV-drugged tax payers just continues to fall for it. Wake up! Obama and the parasites in Congress are creating a huge diversion by pointing the finger at the corporate execs, while Barack and his gang in Congress rip off the gullible tax payer for 10 times as much. The people need to point the big finger at the real culprits, ie, the two-faced lying devils in Washington, Obama and Congress!

  • I don't drive a Mercedes; my auto of choice is the Bentley. My chauffer tells me that it's a much better ride, as for the extra 25 million do you have any idea how difficult it is these day's to maintain a life style such as mine, it's not easy man. So as I stated in my video say a little prayer for this Irish Tycoon tonight that I get to keep my just rewards.

Finally a sound mind has agreed with my plight, while it's true that I did a great job with AIG I didn't do it alone.

  • Mr. Manzullo-wish you were in charge

of the Tres. or Fed'l. lending. Good for him! GET THE MONEY BACK FROM

    THESE IDIOTS AT AIG!

  • How do I get a job at AIG?
