I'm really not impressed with this solo for one main reason. It is more like an exercise than a solo. No emotion at all. Guess I'll just stick with my blues.
@MrSparksE 2-4 hours daily bro, find someone to help teach you by breaking down licks and to explain scales to you. Good tecniques that you NEED to learn and try to perfect in order to be good are as follows...
1. Alternate Picking (speed is all in the picking hand)
2. Scales (having these explained will help train your ear and give you plenty of exercises)
3. Cover Songs (learn some simple songs and build your library of songs you can play)
@lXMaverickXl Also whenever learning something new such as Syn's speedy solo up above, take it PAINFULLY slow...practice anything PAINFULLY slow...so slow it is physically painful and frustrating to be playing that slow...You want to weed out any and all mistakes before you set the tempo (speed of music basically) higher.
one more thing, learn to play to a metronome, a simple little beat so you train your brain to keep time.
@lXMaverickXl I did try 4 hours a day though btw, but it started to hurt my tendons after 2 months or so, would this be caused by a fault in my technique?
@MrSparksE Two hours in general...it can be collectively spread through out the day. It's like exercising, you do them in reps of 10 or so right? It's pacing so you don't wear out.

@MrSparksE if you want to get to Synyster gates' level you'd need to practice a minimum 4hrs a day, for about 10 years at least, if you want to get insanely good, like Paul Gilbert, Rusty Cooley, Michaelangelo Batio etc. then at least 8hrs a day for at least 20 years XD

@MrSparksE 2-4 hours daily bro, find someone to help teach you by breaking down licks and to explain scales to you. Good tecniques that you NEED to learn and try to perfect in order to be good are as follows...
1. Alternate Picking (speed is all in the picking hand)
2. Scales (having these explained will help train your ear and give you plenty of exercises)
3. Cover Songs (learn some simple songs and build your library of songs you can play)
Most importantly, be dedicated and patient..

@lXMaverickXl Also whenever learning something new such as Syn's speedy solo up above, take it PAINFULLY slow...practice anything PAINFULLY slow...so slow it is physically painful and frustrating to be playing that slow...You want to weed out any and all mistakes before you set the tempo (speed of music basically) higher.
one more thing, learn to play to a metronome, a simple little beat so you train your brain to keep time.

@MrSparksE Two hours in general...it can be collectively spread through out the day. It's like exercising, you do them in reps of 10 or so right? It's pacing so you don't wear out.

@MrSparksE if you want to get to Synyster gates' level you'd need to practice a minimum 4hrs a day, for about 10 years at least, if you want to get insanely good, like Paul Gilbert, Rusty Cooley, Michaelangelo Batio etc. then at least 8hrs a day for at least 20 years XD
