  • I always thought some of this music was enchanting. It made the game more fun to listen to the soundtrack. I don't know any video games made anymore where you don't just want to turn the music off.

  • @FlargidyTV Have you played Skyrim, Oblivion, or any other Bethesda game? Fantastic music. I do enjoy the Soul Blazer music though. Video game MIDI music had a character that isn't recreated today.

  • @srelliott83 Never heard of those. Are those Super Nintendo? I liked Zelda 3 for SNES. I want to play Secret of Mana again too because I don't think I ever passed it.

  • the piece @ 4:35 has great beat

  • growing up in the snes era it's fair to say I own/have played 90% of the snes RPGs that exist. This game, has hands down the BEST soundtrack i've ever heard, and most other enix games also have amazing soundtracks.

  • This is missing the best music in the game...the underwater music.

  • the one at 6:40 is by far the best one.

  • first one is the best

  • This is one of the most underrated games. The music is awesome (for SNES) and the graphics were great for being such an early SNES game. I finally dragged the game out the other day and finally beat it. The theme used for dreams still gives me chills.

  • This is one of the best SNES games, and the soundtrack is too memorable. I whistle the 'empty town' theme on my way to work sometimes :)

  • Turn lead into gold? Nah. Make me immortal? No thanks. Control the minds of people? Uninteresting. Cure all disease? Bah.

Doctor Leo, summon the devil for me so I can sell human souls for 1 gold piece each!

    My plan is foolproof!

  • I don't think the person playing Soul Blazer in the video does not know what he is doing. :-p

  • 曲はゴダイゴの人が作ったんだっけ?

  • 4:34 boom !

  • ELECTRO! 1:27 3:32 Lohv!

  • Incredible game. Thanks for bringing back all those fond memories!

  • 懐かしいな

  • This game was my favorite on the Snes!

  • As a fan of some of Quintet's other games, I definitely have to play this one. Really good and creative soundtrack.

  • 6:42 FTW!!!!!! Absolutely my favorite area/ music!!!

  • This is the best game ever by far my favorite game i the world!!!!!!!!

  • By far one of my favorites on the SNES!

Awesome and memorable music all around (Dr. Leo's Painting especially), I had just forgotten how f*cking funky the bass was in some of it, though! O_O

  • @Zycyzyx yeah, extreme violations of the slap bass convention code here.

  • "Deathtoll"...What a corny name.

  • @Swordfyre because Swordfyre is better. haha

  • 3:32 = sick

  • When I saw your comment right away I knew which song you meant.

  • Oh god, I'm singing along! Never thought it would happen to me. :p

  • I LOVE THIS MUSIC! I listen to it every time I do trig homework :P

  • one of the best games ever!!!!!!!!! That and these other great games:

Terranigma, illuision of Gaia,Mario and the sevenstars, tales of Phantasia, Lufia 1 + 2, Breath of fire 1+2, actraiser, Final fantasy 1-6,(7 was good but i am too old school.sorry), megaman x trilogy, donkey kong country 1-2, 3 sucked, secret of mana, metroid(snes), and my favorite Chrono trigger!!! there are many more but i can't put them all down. I am just too ol school. GO the 90's!

  • @bgasian yay the Clinton years were old huh huh yeah yeah.

tears of a moonlit knight is so awesome

  • @RichiRoemsch yeah, my fav theme from this game.

  • ZA GARUDOH

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHA

  • lol the main's name is "Blazer" hehe.

  • I loved this game when I played it, its a lot similar to Dark Cloud for PS2 but better :p and the music kicks ass too

  • Loved the dream sequence song, also need to replay

  • Playing this game right now. Heart it!

  • God I miss this game

  • Yukihide Takekawa worked on another game for the SNES as well. It was called Elfaria 2 and it was released by Hudson Soft back in 1995. Unfortunately it was released in JAPAN ONLY.

  • This Game was awesome. The sequal to this was Illusion of Gaia. That game was phenomenal. And Terranigma was the sequal to that game. There are no words to describe its greatness. Play em' all.

  • i thought terranigma was supposed to be the first in the timeline of the series, just that soulblazer was the first to come out?

  • Your probably right. I never really looked into the exact history of these games. What you say does seem make sense though if you see how the games actually progress.

  • Still one of the most playable games of the 1990's. I went back and played through this game about a year ago. Addicting gameplay and the music is really what keeps it so much fun, even today!

  • Before everyone went nuts over Dark Cloud, it was done here on the SNES (and with Actraiser). A classic game that is usually forgotten. Basically the in-betweener of actraiser and Illusion of Gaia/Terranigma!

  • Im glad I can listen to the songs, I used to play this game when I was around 10, so it's one of my favorites, im borrowing the game soon.

  • Me too man, this game is fucking nostalgic.

  • god...i love this game its like one of the best games out there

  • Awesome

  • Earworms! Great job Yukihide Takekawa!

  • Oh shit. This game has the best music. So many Enix games had wicked sound scores.

  • @mistermajestyck correction, illusion of time has the best music
